Cristina, there is absolutely nothing I don’t love about Santa Is In Town! It’s just perfect.
Dawn, I love that you did with the twirl technique. It’s really beautiful. So glad I was able to spark your creativity as I miss seeing your projects and you always give me ideas.
Trish, your memorial page for your husband is wonderful. And, yes, I can see the texture; I always click on the pics here to enlarge them. The birthday card is lovely.
Thanks, Sue. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. I agree that PSP offers far more than we are using. A lot of the the tools seem very complicated. We probably just need more time to experiment.
Dawn, you can still do the “twirl” technique to get some interesting backgrounds. And thanks for the encouragement.
Sue, you added your blue jay while I was posting. I LOVE it. Blue and silver are a great combination. And yes, fonts are very versatile. I’ve found some great decorative fonts.
How about something a little different? Two members of my gaming group share the same birthday and I had no inspiration that day. I played around with a “twirl” technique a friend shared (Anne MacGregor, are you in the Campus?). I applied a radial blur adjustment to the original and duplicated the layer. Then I applied a distortion twirl effect on each layer, using corresponding positive and negative degree settings. Changed the blend mode on the top layer to lighten. I duplicated the top layer several times, flipping each one in different directions. When I was finally happy, I merged the layers and brightened it up a bit with Brightness and Contrast. I used that as a base, duplicating the image three times. Then I ran three of Carole’s scripts on them: Accordion, Bow 9, and Punched Confetti. I added all the different elements on top of the base and ended up with this. (Before I ran the Accordion script, I added my text and merged it down.) As you can see from the drop shadows, I’m looking forward to Carole’s next master class on shadows!
Welcome to the Campus, Gwen, and pat yourself on the back. Your first try was a booming success!
Sue, all of your pages are wonderful. I especially love the edging on the fantasy card; that’s a great brush. Personally, I think your Merry Christmas in the snow looks great. (Carole has a sand writing script that I’ve used. Maybe she has a snow writing script.)
Trish, those are wonderful pics to commemorate Remembrance Day & Veterans Day. As far as your bday cards, I have to admit I sometimes “recycle” ones that I’ve made. I try to personalize each one, but sometimes I’m caught off guard and don’t have the time.
Your latest pickleball page is great, Bonnie. I love the bright, bold colors you chose. And it’s fantastic to have a friend like that with whom you can share your love of something.
S = Sightseeing
Your page about your time in the outback is wonderful, Annie, even if I did have to google yakka. LOL
Sue, I love your pics. I wish I lived as close to nature as you do. You are so lucky.
Oh my goodness, Dawn. That card is simply stunning. I’m so happy to see you creating and sharing.
Happy Guy Fawkes Day, Trish. Now I know why some of my British friends were complaining about fireworks. Your Lifelines is very pretty. I like playing with Pic-to-Painting; just wish it rendered quicker.
I absolutely love this, Annie. I can imagine a bunch of us driving down the road like that.
Wow, Annie…a sheep station? I feel like I’m in the Thorn Birds! LOL Love your layout.
F = Freight train
Lovely work as always, Sue. I hope your grand feels better sooner than later. I always feel so helpless when babies are sick.
Thanks, Carole and Annie. That clears it up for me. To be perfectly honest, I use Clipping Magic for more complicated images I want to “tube.” (Did I say that correctly?) Now I just have to remember the terms. LOL
Great job, Larry.
Nice pocket scrapbooking, Annie. Quick question for you. I haven’t been in the s/b world as long as you and some of the others. When you say, “tube,” I know you aren’t referring to a picture tube, but I don’t know what it is.
Sharon, what a lovely idea to include your recipe with the cake. It’s as lovely as your l/o.
Annie, I LOVE your spooky place project. Everything is just perfect. You need to come here at least once in your life for Halloween. LOL
Very cool, Annie. Is there any Trick or Treating there?
R = Rosy colors
Oh, Annie, you found the cutest pics and I just LOVE what you did with them both.
Great pickleball pages, Bonnie. I hope you share them with your fellow players, too. Would love to see an actual game IRL. It looks like a very interesting sport.
Sharon, I think your birdhouse is adorable. I love how you mirrored the roof pattern from the right side onto the underside of the left. Since you asked, can I make a suggestion? In my opinion, the tree trunk looks too realistic to go with the birdhouse. I think a tree with a more “cliparty” look would do it more justice and not pull focus from the house which is the true star.
Trish, you throw the best birthday parties. Thanks for inviting us.
Marjorie, a great big welcome to you. Were those your first attempts at digital scrapbooking? You did a great job with them.
Sharon, those butterflies are adorable and I love the curlicue arrows. They gave it just the right amount of whimsy. And the wire holder makes it look like the pic is almost flying with the butterflies. Well done.
I am right there with you, Annie. Shadows confuse the heck out of me. Sometimes I end up spending more time on figuring them out than putting together all of my elements. I think my main issue is visualizing how much to put on each layer.
I, for one, would LOVE a detailed class, Carole. I will, however, review your existing tutorials. Maybe I just need a refresher.
Great work on both pages, Lynda. Do you go to Sturgis? That has to be awesome.
Trish, now you’re just creeping me out! LOL
I don’t have too many PHD; I have more PNS (projects never started).
Another birthday card. I used some papers and elements from Rush Ranch and made the lace using Cass’s lace edge picture tube. The font is Festival Script.
Pumpkin butts and skeletons! What would Halloween be without them, Trish?
Bonnie, I agree with what Carole said on the FB page. It was very creative to use two frames for one pic. It really shows the movement in it.
Nice spooky pic, Sharon. You did a great job.
