Thanks, Shirley. I’m also just not in the mood. I live just outside of NYC and I’m feeling very out of sorts emotionally due to what’s going on. NY state has the highest numbers for the virus in terms of how many infected and how many deaths so it’s very tense here. I can’t really give my creative side the concentration it deserves so I’ve been trying to distract myself by doing mindless online jigsaw puzzles and binge watching Grace and Frankie on Netflix. On the bright side, Grace and Frankie is awesome! <3
That’s some wonderful work you’re doing. I don’t really have any pics so I’m going to have to be an armchair participant.
You guys are just blowing me away with everything you’re doing. I should really try to get something done.
Great stuff, everyone.
Cristina, exceptional page.
I was not inspired at all by my game’s daily theme, “Vacaying.” So I took some characters from the game and put them on a beach scene. Then there was a small shopping spree in Creation Cassel’s store. After playing with my new purchases I decided to use the Word Slats script. Did a bunch of editing and ended up with this. I wonder if anyone else’s wish list in the store is as long as mine.
Thanks so much for your kind words, Annie and Cristina. I still haven’t done anything other than what I have to for my gaming group, but it’s getting a little easier. I’ve just had some stress lately and it makes me not want to do much. Fingers crossed that it improves soon.
I don’t know what style you were going for, but I love what you did, Lynn Lou.
Helen, you got it right in the text…”Learning.” I think you did very well.
Very cool discovery, Dorothy. It definitely deserved a page!
Love your letters, Annie.
Here’s what I made for gaming group. The theme today was Fine Art Fashion. I tried to make it look like a fashion mood board. I added “thumbtack” heads on the pics, but I thought it was too much for the tags. I thought maybe they could be labels that were just stuck on the board so no drop shadows on them either. Any suggestions? (If I had had enough time, I would have given the background a different texture.)
I’m so impressed by everyone. Sorry I’m not making personal comments like I usually do, but I haven’t been feeling my best.
Just a couple of birthday cards I made this week. (Kind of a forced creative inspiration 🙂 )
On the one for Anne, I used a free cluster from AngelDesignz. Added a pink background, duplicated it, and applied a texture. (I tend to duplicate layers before I do something to it.) I used a circular selection to delete the texture under the cluster so the plain pink shows through. Then I Selected All, Contracted by 50 and Expanded by 15. Next was Effect: Geometric: Circle choosing white for the color. Deselected, then selected the white portion, changed it to pink, and added an inner bevel to the selection. Sometimes I just go through different effects that I’m not familiar with and stumble across something I like. The font is Chietah.
On Michele’s card, I used papers and a butterfly from Lady DG Scrap’s portion of a Blog Train. Used one of Cassel’s floral corner punches on the top layer. Then I used her Bow 9 script. The font is Riviera Signature.
I’m not always this wordy, but I know we have a lot of newbies in the campus. Reading how other people created their projects really helped me when I started out and it still does.
Welcome, <b>Dorothy</b>. Looking forward to seeing you around the Campus.
Adorable, ladies.
Great work, everybody. Hoping to be more inspired creatively soon so I can participate again. <3

Cristina, Olivia is adorable and so is your page! She’ll love it.
Aw, Cristina, that’s so sweet of you. <3
It’s never too late for chocolate and flowers, Trish. Thanks <3
Thanks so much, Annie. <3
Oh, my goodness. I can’t thank you enough, ladies. I’m just sorry I didn’t see it sooner.
T = Tinsel (which will take six months or more to get out of the house!)
Here are a bunch of pics I made for my gaming group in the last week and a Hanukkah card I made for my FB page. If anyone wants details, please feel free to ask.
You guys have posted too much for me to comment on each one. You’ve all done beautiful jobs.
K = Kris Kringle
Thanks so much for your kind words, Trish, Lyn, and Sue.
Lyn, I really like the monochromatic look to your card. Sometimes that can be more striking than something more colorful. I love it.
Party at Trish‘s house! Woot woot.
Sue, you have taken your wonderful photos and showcased them beautifully. To add your own elements to nature using real holly and peanut butter is brilliant. I love how you interact with wildlife.
Almost forgot, Trish. Here’s the link for Rush Ranch https://rushranch.blog/
Here’s yesterday’s pic for my gaming group. I added a snow overlay on a bokeh background I got from Rush Ranch in a recent blog train. I tubed my avatar from the game (see, I’m getting my tube lingo down) and added a clip art flute. A snowflake picture tube came in very handy. The only thing I didn’t like about the snowflakes is they came with drop shadows which sort of limited the rest of the shadows which, as you guys know, are not one of my strong suits. Believe it or not, I used a cloud picture tube for the snow. The font is Winter Script. As Annie says, “Thanks for takin’ a peek!”
Welcome, Dorothy. Beautiful pic. I understand being okay with being alone…far less stress.
Trish, please tell Annie we will miss her. I can’t imagine the Campus without her, even for a week.
Thank you, Jnet. I put it on my Wish List.
Trish, I use Google Translate, https://translate.google.com/
