Fay, my goodness, if you can create projects that great when you aren’t feeling well then I don’t stand a chance. LOL! Do hope you are feeling better.
Tried to add shadows to my page by going to effects, photo, 3d, picked the block shape and color. It’s actually one of the main reasons I wanted to learn PSP as the software I’m currently designing in doesn’t do them well. But I didn’t like the effect at all. Looks nothing like the 3d effect that I was wanting.
Day 4 mentions giving us time to practice and watch the videos. Is there a list or link to certain videos we are supposed to be watching?

Swear I’m not trying to be the class trouble maker but……was going to move forward to Day 4 and don’t seem to have that email link. Checked junk and deleted folders but not there. I also don’t seem to have Day 7 or 8. I did get the previous ones and I do have 5, 6 and 9. Is it possible to get days 4, 7, 8 resent? Hmmm, maybe it’s a sign. 🙁
Thank you. I had seen the materials tab on the right but I thought, because of it’s location, that it was for something else. I was thinking there should have been a drop down box right next to the font size box. For years and years, I’ve used a different digital imaging software and I’m having a hard time converting to a different system. Will this work for the homework assignment?
Thanks for trying to unscramble this issue for me. I’m sure this is some setting that I changed and messed things up. I can see where I can change the font and the size of the font, but color?
Seems like half of my posts/questions/comments are disappearing. Just realized that another “bootcamper” joined in that is also named Susan and it was her that you were answering about the materials palette. I checked some youtube videos and my workspace shows a “pixels” box where theirs is showing color options for texts. Tempted to delete all versions of PSP and just start all over with trial version.

So I’m working on the scrapbook page and I’m almost done. Working on the text and have changed size and font but for the life of me I don’t see where to change the color in PSP X8. If I start randomly clicking on things I might mess it up!

I’m stuck on Day 2. I can’t get both files to show up at the same time side by side. I can go to the plate or the sandwich back and forth but can’t copy one layer to the other file or drag it or duplicate it or….I’m in edit mode, is that right? Everyone’s pages looks fantastic!

Just posting from Day 1. Had some software and then computer issues. Have had many versions of PSP for a few years but have been baffled (i.e. scared) to seriously explore it. As for preferred color background, I ended up with dark gray and light gray because the contrast makes it easier on old eyes to read.
Hoping to get started on scrapbooking 13 years worth of grandkids pics as well as switch to PSP from Microsoft program I’ve been using to create digital greeting cards.
