Here is mine – I took so long I got hungry and had to take a bite out of it!
I do not understand why it’s so big. My computer says its 600 x 600 and 142 kb.

Ah, thanks! I was in a panic! Thanks for the quick save! LOLOL!!!
( I looked for other “Classic” workspace preferences, but didn’t see anything.)
I did change my workspace color after seeing Susan’s and Andrew’s workspaces.
I *just* downloaded an image from Corel on all the shortcut keys….I already use a lot, plus the control Y for “do it again” you taught us, but I wondered if there might be other ones I could use. I haven’t gotten to the Shift + ones yet, LOL!
thanks again,
suzy
Emergency! Can I get my classic text box back? I can’t figure out adding text with no box! It’s writing over itself!
Here’s my pic. Might change it or add to it.
Oh, I have about 15 of the psp palettes and the same amount of .pspscripts. I have a feeling they are all me trying to make a palette from Swatches (and it not working). Ut I have the files to prove I tried!
How do we make our own palettes? I think I thought you were supposed to save every swatch? But then I couldn’t figure out how to make the palette from them.Jannette, Welcome to the group. You said you were new, but I didn’t realize how new you were! 🙂 I think text is important, too, along with a good headline or title!
Here is my workspace. I don’t like seeing every color of the rainbow, and generally have 6-7 favorite colors.
I am having trouble ALREADY!!! LOL! I want to use this file, but it won’t show up. Swatch_Digichick 1.PspScript
I also have ones with a different extension that are not showing up, either
Image67.PspPalette
I notice that the ones showing up are from PSP 2022 and are nowhere to be seen in my files – these are the new files I moved everything into!
Whats the difference between a swatch with say 6 or 7 colors and a palette?
Welcome to the group, Kasany! This is nice and he’s lucky to have such things to look at. You live is a beautiful area!
Dawn, those are lovely!
Susan, I’m going to Google Highkey and try to make more of my photos in that style because I really like it! Thanks for the info, and beautiful example!
Mary, that LO is divine, and your gulls are perfect! I tend to lean toward that style myself, so seeing the gulls shows me a little dollop of extra sumthin’-sumthin’ I could do without getting all crazy with gratuitous ribbons and buttons. I also like how you just put it all on top of a beach photo. Really, it’s stellar!
I’m impressed with so much I see here in the thread, but I’m afraid to go back further to comment because I might lose this post and have to retype it!
update from me…..
If you are on the fence to get the scrapbook Campus Diamond membership, you should do it! We had a really great Q&A session last night where we could ask Carole any questions we had in general or specifically about PSP. Questions could be asked beforehand or at the session, so really, how accommodating is that? The features or how to use them or even *why* you’d want to use them! Or how to do a certain thing, like blur to show motion or make something bigger. A lot I had never heard of, so I’m glad other people asked the questions! Layer styles? Never heard of them! Never even saw the icon!
I finally got my newsletter done. It’s not very good primarily because NO ONE did his or her job on writing articles and getting important information like dates or future society plans to me in a timely fashion, though I did get five articles 2 and 3 weeks late. To give you an idea of how bad it was, Scrapbook Campus’s <b>Ann</b> Seber did more than most our members and gave me enough for an article on Merlin, the bird app!!
When that happens, the lack of support, it does not motivate me to go the extra mile to make the newsletter look good. <b>Sue</b> Thomas, I didn’t use the photo with the people and the masks you helped me with. I got COVID right when I was changing the bg color to primrose. When I came back to life, I liked it ok, and had it in there, but the took the article out at the last minute in favor of a late-arriving article.
Here’s a link https://dafflibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Ledger-33-1-2022-Summer.pdf Everybody: Do NOT feel you need to comment on it or even look at it. It has no bells or whistles, and isn’t even that interesting, though I will say it is head and shoulders above any other Daffodil Society Newsletters in the US.
Now I’m doing Scrapbook Bootcamp BECAUSE I AM USING MY NEW PSP2022 instead of PSP X2! This is big news! Carole helped me find some scripts (on <u>MY</u> COMPUTER!!!) that I can’t live without and helped me get them bound; I think that’s always what was holding me back. I need the bootcamp for two reasons – one to reset all my file association configurations so I can double click in Windows Explorer and it opens up in PSP 2022 for .jog, .png, all the file extensions. There always seem to be one or two I forget! Also, because a few things are very, very different in this version. Cropping for one thing. I just have to get used to the weird icons – red lipstick icon being the eraser and red microphone being another. Tubes, I think. And the barfing paint can being flood fill. :).

I’m here, too. I’m over COVID, but I can’t get a negative test result, even after more than two weeks of feeling fine!
I love seeing what you do with these scripts, Brian, and this is just as wonderful and amazing as your other posts! The blue and god is very, very nice, I assume you picked the exact shade of blue and it’s very rich looking.
I should also say that I am seeing scripts I have never seen or heard of before in your posts. No wonder: did you know there are 800 items in the store?
Yes, what Rene said. 🙂
I know they’re blank by default, but I want some examples in each folder, even if I have to make them myself! Plus, I want to see what the file extension is so I know what I’m looking for if I ever see them available somewhere like Deviant Art.
I don’t like empty folders sitting around collecting dust. Corel should have given me a couple of default examples as part of my program. Factory settings, whatever they call them. I have a lot of PSP versions here, with a lot of free stuff each time I purchased. I don’t see how I could have any empty folders!
I wouldn’t mind more info on gradients, too.
also, I have blank spots in some of my PSP folders…. No files at all. Things like deformation maps, bump maps, displacement maps, environmental maps…..plus mixer pages (what’s this?), lines and bevels, plug-ins, and print templates.
I would like to make more palettes and preset shapes of my own. But I want it easy! Maybe even just buy them from the store.
It’s beautiful Marvin! And your model is gorgeous! :))
Carole, I have a question about the differences between Chevrons 3 – PSP Script and Paper Bricks script. Are the Chevrons made of paper bricks? I don’t really need chevrons, but I would like the paper bricks to look like those little Chevron tiles if possible Which script do I buy? :))
Suzy
Ive been using PSP X2. On it, I have a bound script, see photo. All it does is add 30 pixels to all 4 sides of anything, .png or jpg.
I have a bound script in PSP x2 I want to put into 2022. The script is NOT where it says it is, (when you hover, the directory and folder pop up) and in fact, I cannot find the script anywhere! Apparently when you bind it, it makes a copy somewhere within paintshop files somewhere, unknown. Can you help me find it? THEN I can look at the directions to bind it to 2022, LOL!
Hey, You offer this in the Master Classes — Customizing your PSP 2018 and I was wondering – would it be time to do a Customizing your PSP 2022? Or is the 2018 about the same? I’m still trying to bind my scripts, and by that I mean I’m trying to get serious about doing it, so I am not doing very well. :((
Just in time for World Chocolate Day! Very nice attention to detail!
How do you use the object remover? (I know how to do it, I just don’t understand when it is most useful?)
Under what circumstances does one reach for the “smart selection brush” as compared to the magic wand or auto selection?
Here is my question: There are a lot of really useful things published in your newsletter and blog — so, say if there is a thing about “groups and vectors” in a newsletter or a blog post, is it really a “Scrap Tutorial” that was highlighted on the blog (or newsletter?) If not, then it needs to be on this page, too. https://scrapbookcampus.com/diamond/
I’ve never been to one of these….do I have to dress up Ala Zoom, or can I just drop in, as-is?
Very interesting about the flags…I didn’t know all that! And the brushed metals is good, too. 🙂
I’ll be going to Michigan in two-weeks. If you’re still interested in a postmark from Dowling, Michigan, let me know.I have PSP 2022. It isn’t reading .abr files. (I only tried one new set, so I’m going to try some older sets before your webinar, so I may have an update.)
All of a sudden, Every time I crop anything, I get the cropped image and then the original pops right back up in my face. Then I have two, and I have to get rid of the original. this happened all at once, and happened on both x2 and 2022. I had been testing scripts to make sure they still work, and it has to do with those somehow.
thanks!
Hi, everybody, just getting over a case of COVID. Have been reading messages from my email, not the forum per se, but this one topic of New Pose is perplexing. The New Pose font file was 252kb instead of a normal size, which is around 30kb. I could see it being double, maybe 55-60kb because it’s a “hollow filled” style font. What else is packed into the zip file? Anything?
new topic: filed under things that make you go, hmmmmm?!
you guys probably all know this story, but since we were talking about fonts…..
Google has something like 1400 free professional fonts. These are especially good for reading the web, making them excellent for creating websites. Turns out, it also makes an excellent way for Google to follow your every move online. (Germany has brought a suit against Germany on this.) https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2022/01/31/website-operator-fined-for-using-google-fonts-the-cloudy-way/“Of course, that means that Google’s servers get a visit from your browser, and thus Google unavoidably gets your IP number (or an IP number provided by your ISP or VPN provider, which loosely amounts to the same thing).”
What I’m hearing is that they have great freebies, but that no one pays $19.00 a month for a subscription?
I was wondering if the subscription was worth it. You know, for non-professional hobbyists? (So maybe Cassel wouldn’t count, not sure).
Does anybody have a monthly $19.00 subscription to Creative Fabrica?edited to add, sorry Christina, we must have cross posted. Thank you. 🙂

Hi all – your work looks just great, and Susan is right — they are all so different!
I did one and I hate it. I’ll look now, and if it’s already sized, I’ll post it, but if it’s not I’m going to let it slide. Just know that #1, I know how to do this, and #2, I usually dislike the end result primarily because it seems like kiddy stuff and my kids are all grown up.
A shout out to @SherieDracup for the virus (ramsomware) warning on New Pose. This means the loverly New Pose is not yet mine! :(( I did join the Creative Fabrica site (after paying for Hitachi on sale last week, durn it!). Is everybody on here a member? That’s where I bought Sue’s Hitachi font last week! I notice the top 3 pages of any search are filled with treasure and the remaining 2000 pages of hits are mostly trash. Do they get a lot of new content in daily? Are there any fonts on there that you especially recommend? I went on to get New Pose, and got waylaid by some of the patterns. Then on to a cat painting that looked just like my daughter’s cat! Sorry didn’t mean to get so far off track — but f there is anything you think I should definitely have, please post or PM me!!!
And another shout out to Ann – if that photo is you as a baby with your dad, consider yourself very lucky to have the photo!
I had resized it for posting….here are three- yellow overlay,. white overlay, black overlay. None of them shout ,”Yay! a Summer Picnic” to me.
Brian, this is amazing!
I went back to the store to see the script, and I am so impressed with how you used it! Totally different from what was shown in the photo, and so creative!June 19, 2022 at 1:15 am in reply to: Need ideas for captions for a storyboard array of photos #78177There’s my post!!! I didn’t forget to hit send! (Okay maybe t wasn’t as magnificent as I thought it was, LOL!)
Bees and Butterflies page – dang it! I knew that template script was too easy! (There is no space between the photos, and I think you’re right — that space is necessary in this case. ) There are two more template scripts in the store, and I own both of them, but I cannot find them. Don’t ask – this is part of the moving into PSP 2022 that isn’t going well.
Ok, primrose yellow coming right up. Well, I have to reboot it appears, but I will post it in yellow. And change the tags to yellow? I’ll go back and read what you said. And making them smaller after I get all the names and locations typed in. They will all be the same length. I deleted 80 EIGHTY gradients this afternoon! I have no idea how they got on there in the first place, but they were the awful violent ones I was talking about. Now I can see that I actually have a few usable gradients, and a few really nice ones.
I have a guy helping me with the style so he newsletter is more easily read on a phone….. That’s why they are so big – the text is really big. But he’s said size of text doesn’t matter as long as the columns are narrow, er I think that’s what he’s saying. I am sending him a test publication to see which articles are easier to read. I’m going to excruciating detail now so the issues all look the same..this one and the next one and the next one…
Going to see other comments and then reboot, then do Primrose….I’ll probably be posting when you have your morning coffee, er I mean tea???
Thanks, Sue
June 18, 2022 at 10:06 pm in reply to: Need ideas for captions for a storyboard array of photos #78134Hi, Here are my templates using the Speedy Scrap script :)) Then I broke the rows apart to add more caption space.
Is this what you meant? Because I could make these storyboards al day long!
ere are 5 photos across — in case I ever need it, LOL!
I could have made these all day long! You pick whether you want round or rounded corner or square. The how many rows, how many columns, and Voila!
And then I found this in my stash – these are harder to use, because there is just one layer, but I liked the border. Never used it before and I’m not sure it won’t be visually confusing, but I thought I’d throw it out there.
I saw the gradient script – it looks too hard. We don’t get many of those colorful horizons here.
Oh, and I forgot — the blue tags on that photo is because I had a blue bg. and that blue is a color of many elements in the newsletter. (A style color)
This is what it looks like in the blue _but then I added a gradient just to see and forgot to delete it.
I was thinking the darkers colors made it pop, but its still a layered file and I can switch it back and forth. I don’t have the rest of the 2-page spread finished, so I’m not sure which will look better, though this blue is certainly more ‘gardeny’. But yes, I did have it as blue, with blue tags. (It goes out maybe July 1-3, so July 4th here)
Do you like the blue or the gray? Assuming I don’t use yellow – I didn’t realize that guy’s yellow sweatshirt would be so dominant!
Very nice! Well, except the crack of dawn part, and the 2-hours of kayaking part, and the insects part. LOL! (In other words I like the flowers and the type techniques.) I agree on the website, too.
Good work, though, and it’s very pretty!
June 18, 2022 at 4:19 pm in reply to: Need ideas for captions for a storyboard array of photos #78157I wrote a whole big post back on this and it hasn’t shown up – it was such a time consuming post, I wonder if I forgot to hit send when I got to the end? LOL! Let me wait another 1/2 day and I’ll rewrite it. It was rather magnificent and I doubt I can duplicate it. LOL! 🙂
