I give big kudos to all. I love seeing all the imaginative layouts.
And @ Cassel~~Thank you so much for all your work. It has been a blast. I have learned so much. I have had such trouble with masks, but will now use them and know what I am doing. It was so great to get immediate feedback.
Was I supposed to use a mask on Day 7?
I did mine without one. It was really cool to make the polkadots.
The pix is of my 2 pugs, Tiger the Terrible and CSI Grissom. Tiger went to Rainbow Bridge last May, and he will be forever missed.
Thanks, Cassel
I had to put the pix on the top of the Bokeh effect. Thanks for the good tip.
This is my try at the Bokeh effect.
Not sure I did it correctly, but did the best I could.
This is my attempt at Day 5. I used a frame I found. I hope I did it correctly.
The pix is one I took in the Galapagos Islands. You can get within 6 ft of the animals.
@Cassel
Thanks so much.
@Cassel
I lost the link to #4, and need to refer to it to do #5.
Would you post for me, please?
I took this pix of a young girl when I was in India. I thought she was something very special.
Yup, the paper was not below ALL the mask layers.
Thank you, Cassel.
I have a true animal sanctuary near us, with peacocks and flamingos and a ton of other animals that cannot be released back into the wild.
I’m an animal lover, so it’s perfect for me.
I made the paper from a part of the peacock.
Thanks again for your help.
@Cassel
I have been playing around, but cannot figure out how to have the background (paper layer that we made) show behind the mask. It must be a simple fix, but is beyond me right now.
Looks great!
I don’t think I’ll time myself…I couldn’t beat your time.
7-Zip is free and works just like the pay programs. It opens both .rar and zip file.
Ok, that helps.
Thanks once again for your time.
@Cassel
Unfortunately did not save in psp format.
I will practice some more.
I think I’ve almost got it. Not quite as confused as before.
Here’s my try for Day 2.
Everyone is doing so well.
Still having trouble with the mask, but fiddled around and it worked.
Thanks sooo much!!
Yes, but no. I did that by accident, not that I felt I knew what I was doing, lol. I really was confused at what order the layers are supposed to be in.
I tried to turn it black so it would be clear, but it didn’t turn out correctly.
Perhaps screen shots with arrows after the steps would help me? I’m more visual when following instructions.
Thanks for your quick response.
Everyone is doing such nice work. As I am new to scrapbooking, I love seeing others’ work and picking up ideas.
Beautiful work.
@Cassel
I think not being able to do the masks is “operator failure”.
I couldn’t get the background to change to black. Masks have always given me trouble, even after 10 years. Even without changing the grey to black didn’t help. I have no idea why and how I am messing up.
Ok, I have given this a try. I couldn’t get the mask to work on the smaller frames. *sigh* So improvised. Masks are my weak point.
I’m brand new to scrapping, altho have been psp’ing for 10 years.
In any event, a combo of my pugs, elephant in Botswana and a Blue Footed Boobie (yes, really) in the Galapagos Islands.
Thank you, Dawn
I would love to see some of your work, so I can get ideas from other people.
You did a great job. It’s not “busy” like a lot of layouts can be. Very classy.
I have only done the 2 so far.
I need to start Module 3 in the Beginner’s lessons.
I just listened once to the Module, so will listen again. I also print the instructions.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post.
That class sounds good.
I have just started to do this, so I have a zillion things I need to learn and practice.
Gotta start sometime, right?
I have just started the Basic Scrap course. This was my first try at Module 2.
My mouth almost hit the ground when I first saw the Taj Mahal. It is totally symmetrical. And there is a different look as the sun moves. I’ll have to keep that in mind when I do my next page.
Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it.
I hope I did this correctly.
My work on Module 2.
I would love some comments about the drop shadows on the paper.
I am not thrilled with them.
This was taken when I was in India last December.
The most beautiful sight in India. No wonder it’s a Wonder of the World. To see it in person was amazing and something I will never forget.
Thanks, Christina
Thanks so much for commenting.
hugs,
Leslie

My first EVER scrap page.
