J = Jocko (the magnetic chimpanzee)
H = Harlekin (can you imagine this mini-bear, 10 cm, costs around 100 Dollar!)
Sue, Ray, Dennis: what atmospheric pictures and successful works with the new class and the eraser tool!
I also tested the eraser tool too recently and was really surprised how good it can function but I need practicing too. The following is just a quick work with this tutorial I discovered last week: https://scrapbookcampus.com/tips-tricks/magic-fill-pspx7/
I went to a museum festival sunday and took a photo outside of a stone bench just to try this tutorial. This one was easy but it depends on the photo material. I hope the results this time will be uploaded in the right order and if not you guess easily :-).
E = Eric ( don’t know why this sloth is called Eric … found it among the Steiff plush toys)
C = Cinder the green dragon 🙂
Oh je parie qu’à Marseille il fait encore plus chaud. Je pensais que tu vivais au Canada. Te voilà toute proche ou presque!
Wow Sue thank you, I just thought about asking you if you used PSP pictures frames and changed the opacity because I forgot it in my former comment. Did not expect to have such a quick and long description and the link. I feel spoiled (hope its the right word). I already looked for the adjustment Iayers before after having read this above your photo. Oh la la, new challenge, the french girl needs to work it out :-)!
Super, merci Mireille, je ne suis pas encore abonnée au Lab mais tes explications sont très intéressantes et précieuses pour appliquer ces fonctions pour d’autres travaux.
It’s funny to write in both languages. I’m not yet a member of the Lab but Mireille’s good description too is an additional incentive to try it.
Yes Sue it is really a beautiful photo and pretty idea to use it as an ecard. I am used to take my little digicam with me, (easier to put in the bag as the panasonic) ready to take pics along my way. Flowers, animals, clouds and architectural details are my favourites. I am interested in the way you created the background and want to try it. Using the character map for the fancy text was certainly much work …
Bonjour Mireille, bien réussi, very funny umbrella. Which tutorial is it?
Thanks a lot Annie for the precisions about the string. Practicing is really the right word. I try to go on every day a little bit more after work and it is even relaxing.
The sreenshot of Mireille made me curious and look over again my little problem with the shape tool. By this way I discovered the mistake I did with the tool and my so loved gradients :-).
Thanks a lot Cristina for your kind comment and the informations used for your work. It is a real pretty way to welcome spring and put “Ludwigshöhe” in scene with those letters.
All the works here show how creative you are. Your different and successful ways to approach circles, strings, stitching and letters are most inspiring particularly for a newbie in scrapbooking. I never imagined doing this before but I am really happy to have discovered this forum, it is most encouraging to go on learning.
And this makes me speak/write english again, so don’t hesitate to tell me if I do a mistake. Additionally to this I would like to say other ideas, suggestions and tips for my works are always welcome. I say this because when I placed my first work and sandwich under “Feedback request” I was surprised to have no reaction. As Cassel always says “don’t be shy”, lol again!
Nice sunday for all of you. Here where I live in Germany is another hot day today, not spring, already summer feeling, 24° at half of the day!
Hi Carole, what a challenge … but I’m surprised to have found the first letter 🙂
A= Angus the Highland Cow
Great Annie, great photos too (even with a little camera you can realize fabulous pics) and I admire your strings, is it a special script?
Fantastic Dale and your color choice is very harmonious, it has a real natural effect! The “slats script” will be one of my next projects. Go on and have fun!
Thanks a lot Annie, you are right, that’s why I have chosen this colour. If you have a PC you’re always busy with it :-)!!
Thanks a lot Dawn, its always great fun to play with colours and as all of you can see it I love especially gradients. It is most fascinating what you get when you try the possibilities turning the wheel, changing angle, center and focal point and so on. Do some one know how you can apply gradients to shape tools? May be convert in ….
This is a funny and simple link, you can click on the color and you get more results.
https://www.materialpalette.com/colorsNice week-end to all of you!
Hi to all, my quick propositon before the computer-month is over :-). I used the collage template scrapbook 02, resized it 3600×3600, changed the original colors (green-brown), fonts is calisto MT. 2 pics are parts of the “interior life” of the PC, map/schedule? (which word is right?) of the mainboard, different cables (self-assembled piece by piece, took many photos).
Hello everyone,
I’m really impressed by all your creative works and the way you realize string and torn effects.
Here some informations concerning my project, of course it took me more than 10 minutes :-)!
Background color gradient sunburst, squirrel-photos taken by me on my balcony, jay found on the net, I got own photos but there are not really sharp. Ellipse tool for the circles, the yellow ones colored gradient-current gradient, the 2 with flowers pattern-nature-flower, 2 green circles with balls +bubbles (effects-artistic effects, gradient-earth2), stitching with cass-stitches 2 filled with pattern-nature-flower, the string is cassel’s script “variegated strings” colored with gradient selection too, for the text “visitors..” I used the fonts preset spring, changed the font color with gradient earth 2, the torn effect on the photo I used the eraser tool (hope it’s OK). I tried for the first time one of the cass-tornedge-samplers but was not happy at all with my result, I need really to exercise).U = UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)
R = Realtek
May i suggest another word for the letter Q because we had alreday “Quad-core “.
WOW, it’s really fantastic to go on like this …Q = QuarkXPress (desktop publishing software)
L = Laplink
K = Knoppix (OS based on Debian, Unix/Linux family)
J = Junk mail
I = Intranet
I tried it first with “eps” as PSP can open it, but of course you were totally right, only with “wmf” you can go on and export to shape.
So my next lesson will be what you mentioned before, why not creating shapes with PSP.
Never stop learning :-)!
Hi Carole, hi Bitte!
I just discovered this post yesterday, i don’t know if it is still interesting as information. I have the Inkscape-version 0.92 and it is possible to save the shape as wmf-file, open it in PSP and export it to a shape. But if you colorize for example your shape in Inkscape before, the result is another when opening the wmf in PSP. I do not know at the present time why this happens and i think because i do not have experience and knowledge enough in both. It looks like the images attached. Number 1 is originally a svg-file and Number 2 the wmf-file, but can’t be uploaded here, so i turned them in png.
I don’t know what is happening, the images inverted again and with the wrong numbering and false description. The colorized one is number 1 and the other number 2.
G = GPU (graphics processing unit-processor specialized for display functions, performs parallel operations)
D = Dongle
B = BlackBerry (canadian origin :-))
Z = ZUNE (portable media player developed by Microsoft, similar to the Ipod from Apple, but no more manufactured, if my information is right)
