It was not easy doing the dogs head reaction the day John came home and announced he had quit. It would have been ten times harder to draw my reaction!!

My first attempt at this challenge, It took me awhile as I made the brads, flowers and some different snowflakes with gold pins . Of course I chilled the pins to below freezing to make those snowflakes last.  You will also notice my flip flops are also frozen becaude I left them outdoors the day before s that was a shorts day.

Like they say if you do not like the weather here,  it will change in just a minute.

          My Life Time of Drinks.

Yes,  I was given Southern Comfort in my milk on doctors’ orders.  I had a real hard time digesting milk as a wee one.

I guess this is why I can drink it with no reactions which is great when at a party serving drinks.

I started with a grey scaled image done long ago. (01)

I painted the image, (02) but what was in my minds eye was not what i was seeing.

I started playing with user defined filters.

This took another 2 weeks to get just exactly the effects I wanted,

I am rather pleased with the end result  of Dixie Neon and Dixie Emboss.and I  am posting my filters for your information and use. Have fun with them 🙂

Here in Virginia Beach summer is still in full swing judging by the folks still social distancing on our beaches. It is mainly a lot of locals I believe but the hotels announced an extended opening thru October. Needles to say I had to use some older photos of fall and hurricane damage here at my place.

                          Howdy Ya’ll!

This cooler weather sure feels good to me. We have now celebrated our 49th anniversary in a lock down mode so not exactly the fun and games with folks we had planned. Looking forward to next year being a lot better for all of us.

I am still on lockdown having the 5 strikes against me but at least I can get my hair cut on the day the salon is closed. I am enjoying the care Sue gives me and John can go with me and get his locks trimmed as well.

What I uploaded has a bit of a tall tale.. The food boat was a virtual reality model I built for Cybertown back in 1999. It was part of an oriental world museum I built with lots of China’s and Japan’s artifacts which I also built just for fun.

It amazes me the stuff you can find on an old hard drive.

                          Enjoy

I have been working on my picture tubes most of last week and this one. I have quite a tube collection and I am getting very tired of doing this all  day long.

My question is which version of Corel Paint Shop Pro do I need to get that will just import all of my things that are from Jasic version  7  through the very first Corel version X released in 1990.

I spied the color challenge  and started immediately with a project long put off. It was a road trip of six weeks duration with no time table to adhere to for any of us.  Of course we had our AAA tour books high-lighted with things we all wanted to see. What a fun tip it was!!  But like a lot of things all the pictures we put in an album  and long forgot. I hope to achieve the whole trip now that Cassel has taught me about scrapping

It appears I missed a good class but Sundays are hard for me to attend.

Today is Flag Day here in the USA so thought I was dash something together to honor it.  So many traditional things are being pulled down or trashed around me here in Virginia.

I got it done so without further hesitation here is space bedroom part 2. The Explanation:

I was checking my facts about Sally Ride, one of  my heros when I stumbled across the fact that Canada also had a famous NSA Astronaut.

Roberta Bondar  (born December 4, 1945) is Canada’s first female astronaut and the first neurologist in space. After more than a decade as head of an international space medicine research team collaborating with NASA, Bondar became a consultant and speaker in the business, scientific, and medical communities.
Bondar has received many honors including Companion of the Order of Canada, the Order of Ontario, the NASA Space Medal, over 28 honorary degrees, induction into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame, the International Women’s Forum Hall of Fame and a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

I was one of those kids.

I fondly remember Buster Crabbe who almost got to be Tarzan, but instead became Flash Gordon and I was one of his Saturday Video Rangers.. which actually was a TV show right before Howdy Doodie Time.

It was because of Flash that I learned to like Ralston Purina cereal and got these wonderful space objects.  It was a long time before Capt Kirk arrived on the scene but I was already loving anything that involved space.  Here is a sorta representation of my bedroom back in the day as they say.
