Marlene, I watched a few videos of the Blue-Winged Kookaburra and it is a very impressive and lovely bird too. Its color is beautiful. It can’t really laugh like a Kookaburra, but it can get loud. 🙂 Thank you, was a great tip!
Dawn and Marlene, very nice choice and use of the Fancy Fonts technique. They really stand out on a page. Nice work!
Dawn, I was curious about the sound of this bird, so I went online to check it out and found many videos on YouTube. Lovely bird and interesting and unique sound. 🙂
I couldn’t come up with anything yet for this challenge… I will take a look at some photos at Pixabay and maybe I will be inspired to do something.
Dawn, you might have struggled but you came up with a really lovely page. Everything blends so well together. I love the elements, the color of the title and especially the journaling. Great memories and great work. Thanks for sharing.
I hope you get well soon!
Marlene and Dawn, thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my page. I appreciate very much.
I saw online sometime ago pages using this Focal Point Templates, don’t remember where maybe Pinterest, and I liked very much this kind of page where a large photo is the main subject. So, when they were on sale I had to get it. 🙂 And I love this Play Dough Alpha and have used it a few times in some challenges here. I also have the script. 😉
This is my contribution to this challenge. I used the Focal Point Template1 (4) from Scrapping with Liz as a base for my page.
For the word BACK I used cass-PlaydoughAlpha freebie and for the date/place stamp, I used cass-DateStamp5 script.
The background pattern is from KAagard-GreatOutdoors Kit.
The brackets came with the template and I flooded fill with white > Effects > Texture Effects > Sculpture > rusty texture that I got free online.
The text says: “The Kühkopf Nature Reserve is our favorite place to ride bicycles along paths and through the forest until the river banks of the Rhine River.” The font for the text and part of the title is Dancing Script.
micfin, wow your project is really beautiful! The whole composition matches so well… Great work! Thanks for sharing the details of how you did it. 🙂
Marlene, great page and the use of the word Back. It really translated the feeling of the disappointment you had to see how things have changed.
It is so true what you wrote that sometimes it is better to just remember how it was… Nice page!
Dawn, what a beautiful memory page! I like everything: the photos, the edge font, the crochet lace frame… Great page. Looking forward to seeing more of your memory pages.
Marlene, Dawn, thank you very much for commenting on my page.
Dawn, I agree that Cassel’s scripts come in handy… I love to learn how to make things myself but I also love the scripts. They are great!Marlene. very good examples of what we can do knowing the right tools. And I agree, it was a fantastic class.
micfin, amazing the difference between the two photos! I have to try this manual color adjustment.
Marlene, what a beautiful page! The background, elements. and lovely photo, I love everything. Very good work with the alternate characters. I have to try it one day.

This is my contribution to this challenge.
1 definition: Carpe Diem
2 slides: I also used PSP slide mount frame
3 cardboards elements: I made the mat with a cardboard texture. The arrow and heart were made with cass-PaintedCardboard script.
The background paper is from KAagard-Great Outdoors Kit
Dawn your page is lovely! Cute photo and a nice example of the Bokeh effect.
micfin, beautiful, colorful page! A great example of the Bokeh effect with different colors.
Great work. ladies!
Marlene, nice page and especially the definition “Scrubs” you’ve used; even more, for me, that was not familiar with this meaning.
Dawn, beautiful flower photos! I like very much the texture and colors of the slides. Great pages, ladies!
Dawn, thank you for your kind comment! I went a bit overboard with the Bokeh technique 😀 I was having fun…
I tried again to upload the Before Bokeh photo but still doesn’t do it.
Hi, Dawn! Thank you so much for your kind comment. I also like the rings elements (Cassel’s Basic Scrap Course). The corner punches really give a nice touch to any page. I remember that I saw a few of your projects using them and I love it. Then I remembered that I had the brushes but hadn’t used yet. 🙂 That is why is so good when we participate in the challenges, post our projects here…. we learn a lot from each other.
I am trying to upload the photo… I see the percentage that is being uploaded but it doesn’t show in the Upload Image preview and it doesn’t show here…probably a glitch…I will try later
Here is the Bokeh effect Before photo
These are the attempts I made trying to replicate some of the techniques Cassel showed in Photo Cheats Masterclass. By the way, great class as always.
I tried the Create focus, Replace sky, Bokeh effect and Create a Miniature Effect. It was the first time I used the brush variance and I liked it. I will probably try the confetti effect in another challenge.
All photos are from Pixabay.
Carl, very nice projects using different techniques.
As I don’t have any new photos connected to this theme, I repeated the same ones I used for the TOYS challenge in May.
I made two papers using cass-BuildingBlocks PspTube freebie. One of them I used for the background and arrows, and I used both to create the circles.
I used cass-RibbonFactory script to create the two ribbons and cass-CornerPunchesA brushes. I added KAagard-NovBYOC_Stitches freebies. The font is Dancing Script.
Anne, creating this kind of page is liking going back in time and reliving these happy moments. It begins with choosing the photos, the papers, elements… It is fun all the way. Nice work!
Hi, Stella,
Welcome to the Campus. Cassel creates many challenges where we can share our pages, exchange tips, ideas, and encourage each other. Hoping to see your projects soon.
Hi, Dawn! Thank you for your kind comments on my page. I wanted a different color for the background than the green one of the example. So, I used one that worked well with the blend mode. I’ve just joined The Lab and I am liking very much the lessons. Cassel has great tutorials
Your card is beautiful! The triangle background, the hibiscus flower, the leaves … everything works so well together. I am sure whoever gets this card will be very happy.
This is the page I made inspired on the Lab 07-Module 07. From the ideas given, I used the color wood texture for the background paper and created the negative chevron and lined overlay papers (cass-tutorials).
I added the clip (Blue Flower Art freebie) and Multiple color title. Instead of each word of a different color as suggested, I made each letter with another color using the technique shown on cass-Masterclass-NO KIT SCRAP 2. The font is Happy Camper, also mentioned in the lesson.
I included BuburuResources freebies elements; Date element from Sheila Reid-MAR 2016 Unwind Blog Train and KAagard-ByAir-BorderStitches-Black.
I had fun making this page based on my first lesson of The Lab.
This is my take inspired on The Lab 07-Module 07. <span style=”color: #333333; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal;”>From the ideas given, I made the colored Wood Texture B</span>ackground Paper, the Negative Chevron and the Lined Overlay Papers (Cassel’s tutorials).
I added the clip and the multi color title. The suggestion was multi color words, but I used a different color for each letter, using a technique taught on Masterclass “No Kit Scrap 2”.
The clip is a freebie from Blue Flower Art (On This Day); the elements are freebies from www.freebies.bubururesources.info; the date element is from Sheila Reid (Unwind). The stitching is KAagard-ByAir_BorderStitches_Black freebie.
I added cass-Beads-SeedBeads2 Picture Tube.
It was fun to follow my first lesson of The Lab… I am liking it very much.
Marlene, what a beautiful page! I like very much the way you arrange the photos on top of a ribbon and across the canvas. Great work.
Anita. lovely wreath you’ve made. The elements are very nice and great choice of colors.
Dawn, Marlene, and Sheila thanks for the encouragement and comments.
Dawn, although I had had the edge magic script for a while, only when I saw Anja Pelzer using it in a photo (what I thought was a great idea), I began to use. Hats off to her. 🙂 I love to see every work that is posted here… I learn and am inspired by them.
Marlene, what nice memories you created… No wonder it was well received. I particularly love Cyril’s page with his old photos and knowing that he is still playing golf.
