Sue, your pages are great. So many techniques, details… and not forgetting the pretty cat and your beautiful photos. I am sure you had lots of fun creating it. Lovely work!
Cassel, I still have to think something for this challenge… no ideas yet, but I really like your layout and the way you used the Word Art for the title. The webinar yesterday about this was great I will see what I can come up with all ideas you gave us.
Hi, Dawn! Your layout is so nice, and the whole composition matches so well together. Cassel has great scripts and tubes and they make our life so much easier 😉 … Nice job.
micfin, I think everybody had fun trying this technique. 🙂 Nice photo and colors you have chosen. Very nice layouts.
Hi, micfin, thank you for your comment. 🙂
I love you layout, the whole composition is great … skyline, the font, the cartoon… Nice job!
Thank you, Leslie and Dawn, for commenting on my layout. 🙂
Dawn, thank you for commenting on my layout! 🙂
It looks like that my post disappeared that Leslie commented on, so I will write again.
Hi, Leslie, you are doing good and would be nice to see more of your layouts. I also have lots of things to learn and practice and I think the Forum is a good place to do it.
This is my attempt to practice some tutorials from the LAB.
I used the Lined Paper (LAB 07/Module 9); Text Paper and Multicolored Dots (LAB 05/Module 9).I added Hand Stitching (cass-tutorial); KGArrow.ttf (LAB/Module 8) and Polaroid frame (cass-Polaroid Script).

Marlene, I also had many tries until I had photos that would work, and then trying different colors… But it was fun!
Sheila, your project came out so nice! The photo of this cute little lady is perfect for this technique, and the colors match very well.
This is a very cool technique…I was playing around and came up with these 2 projects. Both photos are from Pixabay.
Marlene, Dawn, very nice examples of this cool technique. I am going to give a try.
Dawn, I am very happy to see you posting your projects again. 🙂
Leslie, your page is so pretty! I love your colors, papers, the stamps… And of course, the photo of the Taj Mahal. It must have been an impressive feeling being in front it.
About the shadows, I noticed that some are on the top and others on the bottom…Repeating what Cassel says in the tutorials, we have to choose where the light source is coming from and be consistent with it. Everything that I know about shadows I have learned with cass-Basic Scrap Course 1, and I can only recommend it. It is full of information and easy to follow with videos and written tutorials.
But the expert here is Cassel and I am also learning something every day.
Sheila, Marlene, and Dawn thank you for your comments. I appreciate very much. 🙂 <3
Sheila, nature is really amazing, and we were so happy watching the whole process since germination till eating the jalapeño.
Marlene, your page is so nice and I do love your journaling!! What an interesting story and life experience. I am sure you can create many pages more just remembering what has happened since your arrival. Great job!
This is my contribution for this challenge and what I have used.

Mary, I am also so sorry for your loss. 🙁 I hope you can ease a little bit your pain here in the forum, sharing your projects.
Best wishes. <3
Leslie, your page is very nice and the pugs are adorable! I also like your choice of the frames and the clipart of the dog. Well done!
Hopefully, we are going to see more of your work here. 🙂
Watawieh. Marlene. 🙂 Your layout is very nice. The journaling was so interesting that I was curious to learn a little bit more about Norfolk and Pitcairn… so I read a few sites about it. Now I know a little bit more about this part of the world.
I like the idea of using the cross-stitch overlay and the plastic pockets… They came out very good. Nice work!
Dawn, thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my page 🙂 I really wish that your mom can go home soon.
My best wishes to you and your mom.
This is my contribution to this challenge.
Background: triangle pattern (LAB 07 module 08)
1 stitched element (cass-heart preset freebie + cass-StitchedEdge2 script); 2 stickers (Corel-Animal Clipart Minipack freebie + cass-How to create a sticker tutorial); 3 gel/plastic elements (cass-Glitter Gel freebie).
Fonts: Euphoria Script and Architects Daughter.
Marlene, thank you for commenting on my page. I do appreciate. 🙂
I really loved your page and journaling.
With this project, you created a lovely memory story, and you gave me ideas for others pages I can make scanning envelopes and letters my mother had sent me.
I like the alphabet paper background. The coincidence is that I was thinking of using something similar (LAB 05 module 09-Text Background Paper) on the project I am working on now (1-2-3 Challenge) but decided it would be more suitable for a different project. I made a triangle pattern instead.
Great work!
Hi Carrie, welcome to the Campus. You have some nice stuff in your blogs.
Hope to see your projects here, participating in the challenges 🙂
Dawn, I thank you so much for your lovely comment on my page. To tell you the truth I was concerned about not seeing you here posting your project as you have said before that you were not feeling well.
I am so sorry to hear about what has happened with your mom. Hope she is feeling a little better now and I do wish her a speedy recovery.
My best wishes for you and your mom! s3
I had no photos that I could use for this challenge, so I thought I would write a journaling saying how communications have changed my life personally in the last 27 years.
Alphas= cass- 2016 Calendar Challenge 07
Postcard / Stamp= cass- 2017 Travel Tale Challenge day 5/6 tutorials
Telephone Booth Photo= cass-TornEdge Script
Quatre Foil Pattern= cass-Lab 07-07 tutorial
Arrows= KGArrow.ttf (Lab 07-08)
Sharon, they look great! Nice colors. Well done!
Cassel, hehe…definitely communication! 😀
Marlene, Dawn, and micfin, thank you so much for your comments on my page. I do appreciate! <3
Marlene, the food was good, what here is called bürgerliches Essen… maybe “good plain food” would be a translation that comes close, nothing fancy, typical from this state, Rhineland-Palatinate.
Dawn, I also like very much seeing photos from Australia and other places that are posted here.
micfin, let’s all go there then! 😀
I was finally able to come up with something for this challenge.
The background is a solid color > texturizer plugin (canvas) > grunge overlay (45% opacity)
I added elements that I made based on 3 Cassel’s tutorials of THE LAB 07 Module 8:
Triangle pattern, Random pattern (hearts) and Painted Wood (Journaling). The hearts tapes were made with cass-AdhesiveTapeB Script.
The journaling font is Bariol Bold. For the title, I used the FoglihtenN007 font from Gluk that was mentioned in the “Using Fancy Fonts in your PSP” post. I used the special characters for the letters D-r–R-s
I also used cass-ScrewHead Picture Tube.micfin, another lovely project! Really great work!
micfin, both your projects are lovely, and what a great choice of fonts The ribbon is a perfect match to the beautiful photo. Nice work as always!
