Dear Dawn, thank you so much for commenting on my layout. <3 … Sometimes templates with multi photos come in handy, and I like this one because it is so different from the ones you generally see for multi photos.
I am missing you here but I know that here and there life interferes in our creativity… But I do hope that you get better soon so we can be inspired by your great work.
Best wishes to you 🙂
I managed to come up with a layout for this challenge. The papers are from Etc.by Danyale (Lilypad).
From Cassel: I made the ricrac ribbons using the ricrac free script. I added a texture (computer) to one of the papers using the technique from the “Touch It” Masterclass. I also used the LED Alphabet freebie and cass-NaturalRope-07 Tube.
Font: Quantum and Monotype Corsiva. TFL
I like very much to participate in the challenges as I see them as an opportunity for me to practice everything that I learn in the Campus, but lately, I have not been very creative, so that’s why I am missing many challenges.
For this layout, I used the template “Around the World” from Scrapping with Liz (Lilypad).
Elements: Compass (Corel Travel minipack freebie); Heart (Janet Scott-PixelScrapper-crochet heart-be mine kit); Font: Kato
TFL
Dennis, nice example of the Out of Bounds technique. I have to try it someday.
Sharon, nice photo.
Hi Everyone!
This is my second time participating in the Scrap Bootcamp…As Annie said, I also learn something new every time or reinforce what I have learned before… And it is fun!
Dear Annie, thank you so much for your kind comment. 🙂 … You created a lovely layout to honor Cubit’s memory, and your journaling is so touching… Only today I noticed that you used his name in the doily… what a great idea. Great work, my friend! <3
This is my final layout… As always, it was so much fun to participate in a challenge, and I always learn a lot! Thank you, Carole!
Dear Annie, thank you so much for your kind comment. <3 … I don’t think that your work tends to the serious side, and I have seen quite a few… I love your layout with Cubit… I even thought that he looks like a lord in this photo! …I love it! I am sure he left wonderful memories. <3
And I also don’t have any grandchildren as we don’t have children. 🙂
This is the layout I am working on (until day 4)… The template I used is from the Lab6-Module 03… Instead of wood, I made the tiles of acrylic (Creative Scrap>Texture>Acrylic)… I added some adhesive tapes (Cassel’s Adhesive Tape Script).
Hi Everyone,
You all are making amazing and creative layouts! It is very inspiring… I am working on my page and will try to upload it today.
Hi Dawn!
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I worked for several days on this layout, trying different elements, papers, etc… Very often I looked at the tutorials that are available on the Creative Scrap section and then decide which one I am going to add to my page… It is always fun. 🙂
Best wishes to you <3
Here is the layout I made to practice the tutorials from the Lab 9 Module 04: Quatrefoil2 Pattern, Triangular Edge and Yardstick. I also used the template that was part of this module.
From Cassel: freebie Laser cut doily-Round04 (Laser cut doilies round Script). I made the two flowers elements following a tutorial (Creative Scrap>Miscellaneous>Flower2). I used cass-date stamp #05 Script.
Freebies: Day Dreams ‘n Design May Blog Train – Background and Mat papers — Harper Finch Happy Days & Sweet Spring – papers (title and flowers) and buttons.
Now I will try to make something for the Word Challenge (Start) and for the Diamond Scrap Challenge.
Milan Ch, I haven’t worked in a similar project like yours. Maybe other members here can give their input on that. Would be nice to see your work here.
Sharon, this was really a great class. I have to practice it much more to make something interesting.
Teri, thank you for your kind comment on my layout. <3…. Like Annie, I think you are very creative and you have shown us that here and on FB. I too get inspired by seeing somebody else’s layout. It can be the colors, position of a photo, a pattern and so on. Your layout is lovely! Well done!
Dear Annie and Dawn, thank you so much for the lovely comments. You both are always very kind. <3 <3
Michele, lol lol 😀
Annie, this is beautiful! I love the bold elements and how you made the title. I agree with Dawn, you are very creative and it is a joy to see your layouts. Great work! <3
Hi Sharon, we don’t have yet a support group but once we have one, you will be more than welcome! 😀
Michele, thank you so much for your kind comment. <3 … By the way, this was the version #110 or so lol…Like you, I also have many, many fonts… Should we start a Support Group for font-a-holic? 😀 … But although there are some that I use more often, I always try to use different ones and that’s why I keep downloading them. 🙂
Last year I started the template for a photo collage, which I did following a tutorial from an old site, but I never finished it… Only recently I decided to continue working on it… The idea was just to do the photo collage but then there was this and this tutorial I wanted to practice and in the end, I also had a front cover for an album… I watched quite a few tutorials!
From Cassel: Watercolor Pattern (Lab9-M03); Translucent Effect (Creative Scrap>Tags and Journaling>Translucent Tabs/Translucent Envelope) and Spiral Binding (Creative Scrap>Fasteners).
Freebies from following designers: Harper Finch (hf-yesterday&today cardstock untitled10); Bella Gipsy (soulsisters_pattern5; soulsisters_ricrac) and Marisa Lerin (buttons dsf 2012).
Fonts: Kristale Script and Emily Regular
Michele, this is a lovely layout! The cherry tree is the star, and the color change of the dress came out great. I like the font too… I love fonts 🙂
Sharon, isn’t it fun to follow the tutorials and create these lovely pages. Well done!
I am registered too. Let’s have fun and learn at the same time.
Sharon, lovely layouts! The way I found for myself to continue learning was to participate in the challenges, where I can practice all the tutorials that Carole has to offer. Besides that, it is a way to get inspired by all the creative layouts that my scrapbook friends –as Annie always says 🙂 — post here.
Denis, very nice what you did with the selection tool. The images came out great.
Dawn, thank you so much for the lovely greeting card. <3 … I love everything about it: the colors, techniques…Beautiful card!
Dear Dawn, thank you so much for your kind comment on my layout. I really appreciate!
I indeed have enough photos to choose — mine and the ones that are sent me– but I only use them to scrap because of Carole’s challenges… The challenges are an incentive for me to do something with the pictures as I like to practice a technique or an idea.
Hugs and best wishes <3
Annie, isn’t this webinar great? I still have to practice creating the room, carpet… It is great to use the pick tool and make all these things… LOL about your shadow comment… Very nice work!
Sharon, you are not alone having to watch the tutorials again and again. You made great layouts. Well done!
Sharon, very nice layout!
Annie, thank you so much so your kind comment! <3 … About your flower, what a good idea to use the string. Very creative and came out great.
Michele, thank you! <3 …And yes, it was a great trip: mild temperatures, good food and so many places to visit. We drove about 1500 km, even we were surprised… The card you created is beautiful and I like everything about it… I love how the corner punches came out. Dawn had a great idea to use them this way. I have to try it sometime
I finally was able to come up with a layout to practice the tutorials Multi photo Template, Watercolor, and Swirls from the LAB9-Module 3, and the String Art from the String Theory Webinar. For the last one, I made something simple… I have to watch the video a few more times to create an elaborate element as Carole showed.
It was so much fun to create a watercolor pattern… the tutorial is very interesting and there were many things that were new to me.
From Marisa Lerin I used the “ps_marisa-lerin_6612_grid-15-overlay“
Dawn, I don’t think you are overusing the corner punches… The different ways you use them is an inspiration to me. I love them too but I tend to use them in just one way. I learn a lot from everyone here… You all are very creative! <3
Darlene, your layout is lovely! And a great way to keep the memory of this happy moment.
Annie, very nice layout. I like the background paper, and it looks like the “text overlay 2”. I also like the photo corners, the alpha… There are so many techniques in this layout. Great work, my friend!
Dear Dawn, your card is beautiful… You are always so creative using the Corner Punch… I love it! I remember one that was also in a big size and you added beads… It was lovely.
Forgot to mention, I love Card 12 and the cheerful image!
Hugs and best wishes to you too <3
Dawn, Annie, Darlene, Michele and Teri, all your layouts are lovely, creative and a joy to see. Great work, ladies!
I am trying to come up with layouts for the different challenges but I haven’t been very creative lately… I start something and then I get stuck… I will keep on trying lol
