Hello Annie, I am happy to see your smiling photo here again! 🙂
I understand that this is not an easy time for many people, with all the limitations and burdens that covid brings, but I do hope to see you here more often, showing your beautiful work. Stay safe and well, my friend. Hugs and <3!
Hi Shirley, maybe next time, I will try this challenge! As you said, it makes us think outside the box a bit more. 🙂
Sandra, nice layout. I love the idea of using the text overlay as a photo mat… I will remember that for the next challenge. 🙂
Dawn, thank you! <3
I started with a white wood pattern background, which in the end, I used it as the photos mats. But I did not like the text overlay on it, and that was what slowing me down. After many trials and errors, I finally found something that I liked: darker wood pattern background paper and low opacity text overlay.
Now, next challenge, cluster 🙂
Dawn, I am so happy to see your amazing work being posted here again. 🙂 This is a beautiful layout, and I love the effect of the photo with the slats script (another one for my wish list), and the cluster is lovely. Best wishes, my friend. <3
Minka, it doesn’t look the same as the template, but the layout is very nice! I really like it.
Lynda, I like the cluster with parts of photos, brads… very creative.
Hi Susie, welcome! They are adorable!
Wow, Bonnie, you can have a lovely album with all these layouts. Your friends will certainly love to see that.
I struggled with this challenge for days; whatever I was doing was not pleasing me. To have so many items in one layout is something that I am not used to, and that’s why it is good for me to participate in it.
But in the end, I came up with something…
Cassel: NaturalRope2 Tube, BowScript15, and followed her Pinned paper tutorial.
I used a regular shadow for the bow, but I am not sure if I should have done it differently. Bows and Shadows are something I need to improve.
Fonts: Bauhaus93 and Emily Regular
Now I want to try the Cluster Challenge, something I like to see in other projects but doesn’t come naturally to me.
Lovely layouts, Sue, Lynda, and Corrie. Each one is unique and very creative.
Great work, Minka, Shirley, Bonnie, and Sue!
This is a challenge I don’t participate because my partner would be very frustrated waiting for ages for my page. 🙂
Nicely done, Dennis! But I can understand your sister… lol
Hi Lynda, I hope my method for the lab tutorials works for you; but in the end, it is more important that you have fun doing something, with or without a method. 🙂 And what you create, although you don’t know what to do now, it is for sure an inspiration for others.
Michele, I agree with Bonnie; it is amazing how creative you are, having to come up with something new every day. As I mentioned before, I really like your choice for the illustrations, and you always come up with a great layout, like this one.
Libera, you achieved a very interesting effect with dramatic colors with this technique.
Lynda, nice new additions! I like the black and white Negative Effect very much, and especially the Garden Film Strip. I haven’t tried the tutorials, so I wonder if I, too, will have issues with the layered effect.
When I mentioned in my last comment papers and elements, I was referring to my process of creation:
First, I choose photos that will be compatible with the tutorials. In the last LAB, there was netting, so I decided to look for pictures at the beach. After that, I look for papers and elements in my stash that will fit the photos and layout; sometimes, just what I create with the tutorials is enough and doesn’t need extra elements. But it is not every day that I am inspired, so it takes time. 😀
Thanks for the tip, I like PixelScraper very much and have a few of their freebies. 🙂
Michele, thanks for your kind comment! 🙂
I forgot to mention, but Dawn reminded me of the font! I have not only downloaded the one you mentioned, VTKS Core but others of the same VTKS Family, like VTKS Choice – Bold and Cool – Propriedade… I thought I was getting better from this… 😀
Lynda, these Lab tutorials look so interesting. I like the “Negative Effect” and the different options you showcased. I also want to give it a try, but first I have to find photos that I think will fit the tutorials, and then… the papers, elements and so on. 🙂
Hello, dear Dawn 🙂 Thank you so much for your kind comment… It was really a nice beach, and very few people were there at that time of the year, which made it even better. 😉
Thanks, Lynda! About Carole’s bow scripts, I love to watch how the pieces are cut, turned, moved around… I always think that she had to envision this first and then translated all of that into commands/actions. It is really impressive!
Here is the layout I created to practice the tutorials from the Lab10-Module 6 (Alphabet beads – Honeycombs – Netting2).
Again I used the Lab10-Module 2 template but tweaked it to fit my needs.
Bow: Cassel’s script Bow6… I love to see those bows scripts running!
I added two elements from the “Seaside” AddOn by Palvinka.
Fonts: Evertone Script – Euphorigenic S
Betsy, beautiful picture of the moon, and you created a very nice layout with it.
Lynda, I love how you created the sneakers. They look great.
Bonnie, what a lovely message. Simple pleasures… sometimes they are the ones we remember the most.
Michele, great layout. Nice idea to use the yellowish color of the seam for the title. It really stands out.
Lynda, I love masks although I don’t use them much… keep forgetting. I use them more when the challenge asks for it. I remember when I joined the Campus, I had no idea how to create my own mask, always using someone else’s… I was so happy when I learned it from one of Carole’s tutorial.
I like very much the mask you created and the contrast of the peach color background with the picture. Nice job!
Hello Dawn 🙂
We are doing well, thanks! Cases are going down again here, and almost everything is open, but we still take precautions when going out… I think we will be doing this for a while.
I do hope your health continues to improve, and even if not posting yet, you show up here and there. 🙂
Best wishes <3
Karon, thank you so much for your kind comment!
I am glad you found the “What are you working on in…” thread, so more people will see your work. 🙂
Hi Karon,
I am glad you found the “What are you working on in…” thread, so more people will see your lovely work.
You did a wonderful job with the Lab tutorials and experiments!
Dear Dawn, I am very happy to see you here! 🙂 I hope everything is ok with you.
I miss seeing your beautiful cards/work and hope to see you more often here.
Best wishes <3
I finally managed to complete my only one layout for this challenge. Every time I participate is an opportunity to learn and do things differently from the previous time, and it is fun and inspiring to see what others are creating.
Thanks, Carole!
Nice layouts and template, Bonnie. Looking at the happy faces, we can see that this was a really special treat. 🙂
Each work posted is unique and very creative. Great job, everyone!
Art, I remember the challenge Tut-Tech “Painting on the Wall” from last year, when I was first introduced to a similar template. I love what you did, and the “old guy sitting on a bench” gave a special touch to the page. Great work!
Bonnie, the baby layouts are so cute. Very nice pages of the pickleball and garden.
Lynda, I am sure your sister-in-law will be very happy with this layout. I love black and white pictures. I like the layout of the film strip. It reminds me that I have Carole’s Film Strip Script, and I will try to use it sometime. Lately, I am slower scrapbooking than usual, doing other things… I haven’t finished the Travel Tale “one layout” yet. 🙂
Carole, yes, as I am only creating one double-page with all the elements as I did with the previous Trave Tale Challenges. I prefer to have one finished LO than a few unfinished ones … I have a few here!
Do you have any tips about the layout? I’d love to hear your input. 🙂
Hi Mara, 🙂
Welcome to the forum! Nice to have you here.
I love to see all the new projects posted. Lots of inspiration. Great work, everyone!
I am still not sure about the papers, so I played a bit with the blend mode. Now, only the pictures for the right side are missing, but this will go faster, as I don’t have to create anything else anymore.
For Day 7, I wanted to create something of wood but also including a photo, like a photo painted on wood. It didn’t come out as I thought, so I decided to make a flair button of it. For the writing, I inverted the colors, where it said black I did with white and vice-versa.
Karon, I am loving seeing your pages. Great work.
If you want, you can post all of them in What are you working on (in April 2020) post, https://scrapbookcampus.com/Community/topic/what-are-you-working-on-in-april-2020/
where more people will be happy to see and be inspired by your work.
