I was a few days away, and so many amazing layouts posted here. Great work, Sandra, Jan, Karon, Bonnie, Sue, and Michele!
It’s a joy to come here and see all this fantastic work. Great job, Everyone!
Sue, your photos and pages are outstanding! … I agree with you in giving credits to Carole; I have learned so much from her all these years, and I am sure I will learn a lot more in the future.
Karon, thank you so much for your kind comment on my layout <3 … I admire your work and creativity; you not only create something with the Lab Tutorials but also with each one of the Experiments and Fonts! Your work is a source of inspiration.
Ann Adams, what a touching story! You created a lovely layout to share it here.
I guess we all agree in our love for trees or nature for that matter. Libera, Sandra, and Art, you all created interesting and lovely pages. Good work!
Dear Sue, Dawn, and Libera thank you so much for your kind comments and words of encouragement. I appreciated it very much. <3
Sue, you were the one that introduced me to this template not long ago, and I love it. Since then, this is already the second or the third time I used it. I always tweak it a bit, enlarging the photos’ size by about 110%.
Both of your works are awesome! … And don’t forget the Goldfinch’s words: “Next time, just two shots!” 😉
Dear Dawn, this year, everything is different, and we enjoy every opportunity to be outside but away from a crowd. 🙂 Best wishes to you too.
Ann, lovely layouts, and Sonya Anne is adorable!
Corrie, Lynn, and Lynda, very nice examples of this technique! It gives an interesting effect, and I will also give it a try sometime.
Only today, I was able to finish the layout to practice the Lab10-Module 08 tutorials (Split Photo – Simple Blocking – Diamond Template). It took me a long time to create the background paper, finding colors… I created many papers, and nothing was pleasing me, but in the end, I came up with something to post here.
Template: Lab10-Module 02
Cassel: Flair (Creative Scrap>Miscelanneous>Flair Button) – Adhesive Tape Script
Pixel Scrapper: Overlays by Sheila Reid: ledger paper – micro butterflies – tiny flowers – transparent misted – quatrafoil
Fonts: Bayer – Keishue – Candy Round BTN
Karon, Michele, and Nemesis, you all created great and beautiful layouts! Well done!
Lynda, my deepest sympathies to you and your family. <3 Such a loss can never be replaced or forgotten. You created a touching layout to honor his memory.
Libera, thank you! You created a very nice layout and I love the colors you chose to match the Perle Noir. Great job.
Sandra, lovely layout, amazing lady!
Sue, lovely work with this technique. Those birds… they are so cute!
Michele, this is so nice! I love the Font, — just downloaded it 😉 — and the Colors. Colors, something that always calls my attention.
Karon, thank you for your kind comment! I really appreciate it. <3
Sandra, your layout is lovely, and it worked perfectly with the B&W picture.
Michele, beautiful layout. Besides the colors and font, I love the unique illustrations that you always manage to find. 🙂
Sue, thank you for your kind comment on my layout. <3
Your layout is beautiful, and so is the photo. I love how you add frames to the pictures, always very different from one another, and they really highlight the photos.
Hello Dawn 🙂 Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! They are always appreciated, my dear friend. Best wishes to you! <3
Here is the layout I created for this challenge.
To the background color (Perle Noir), I added 2 layers of overlays: ps_sheila-reid_43504_word-scramble-OVERLAY_cu AND ps_sheila-reid_58974_distressed-set-2-texture-05_cu.
I added the “Ice Cream template” freebie by Cassel (2019Aug – Blog post “Theme-Ice Cream.” I also created a “Word Sticker” (Lab9-M05).
Ribbon by dedesmith “dedesmith_dreamvacation_ribbon1”
FONTS: Hobo Std – Ravie – Showcard Gothic
Hi Everyone!
You all are sharing lovely, funny, and touching stories… Wonderful work!
Very nice card, Corrie. I like how you used the Vector Spiral Script with the sunflower.
Hello, Dawn. 🙂 Thank you so much for your comment. It is always appreciated, my friend. <3 … Best wishes to you!
Bonnie, you’ve been busy! The layouts are lovely. I am sure your friends love it when you show them what you do with the pictures.
Very nice layout, Ann! I liked it very much.
Dear Michele, thank you so much for your kind comment. 🙂 As always, it is very much appreciated. <3
Here is the layout I created to practice the tutorials from the Lab10-Module 7 (Negative Effect – Layered Shape – Clapperboard). It was fun, and every time I practice new tutorials and participate in the challenges, I learn a little bit more.
The negative effect (arrow) is very subtle because I thought the layout was already too busy with all the patterned papers.
I used the template from the Lab5-Module10, tweaking a bit to suit my needs.
Background paper “Painted Paper2” – Paint paper 05 by Melo Vrijhof (Pixel Scrapper).
Other papers by Kayl Turesson – Pixel Scrapper 2019May Spring Cleaning Blog Train.
Ribbons: FD_BeOfGoodCheer_RicRac_07 / ps_janet-scott_37941_quilted-with-love-geometric-ribbon
From Cassel: Admission Ticket (Creative Scrap>Tags and Journaling>Ticket) and Brad (Creative Scrap>Miscellaneous>Flair Button).
Fonts: Bariol Bold and Hobo Std
Sorry for you loss, Michele. 🙁 You really honor your friend with this lovely layout.
I was away from the Forum for a few days, and coming here, I see so much creativity!
Blending and Texturing; Beautiful Cake; Ice Cream – Pickleball – Friends; Cute Cats named Poppy and Penny; Dragonfly Ribbons; Home-canned Vegetables/Split Photos; A lovely Story about a Woodchuck (what I only knew before as groundhog), and last but not least, Candles!
Wow, fabulous work, Nemisis, Sheila, Bonnie, Corrie, Lynda, and Minka!
Dawn, thank you so much for your kind comment! I really appreciate it. <3
I had the idea of using the postage stamp look on the photos watching Carole’s last Masterclass “Using Scripts” when she showed the Postage Stamp Script. As I said before, the Campus and what everyone posts here is always a source of inspiration for me. 🙂
Michele, thank you so much for your kind comment. I really appreciate it!! <3
If you could only have seen my struggles! LOL … Yesterday, I was going to upload the LO with the light yellow background, although not happy, when I read the post. So, I gave it a last try, and it worked… It is not every day that the ideas come easily, but it is part of the game. 🙂
Shirley, I love your layout… Creativity runs in the family!
Karon, I love your creativity and work. Lovely work.
Sawnie, it is really amazing what you’ve created with the photo you had originally. Great job.
Trish, I am happy to see you here again. 🙂 I hope you feel better soon! Your work is lovely and very creative, and all the elements blend very harmoniously.
The month is over, and I finally finished a project for this challenge.
Finding colors was my main problem, and I tried different options for the background: Notebook Page, Kraft Paper, different textures, etc… I read yesterday a post from Monique (Bootcamp), where she mentioned Carole’s tip to play with HSL… I gave it a try, and I liked my first attempt. The original background color was yellow and this is what I got :0
Carole’s tutorials: Word Frame, Metallic Element, Yard Stick, and Pop Up Masterclass.
