Love, love all the new additions to this thread. EVERYONE is doing a spectacular job!
Lovely and creative layouts added lately. Everyone is doing a great job!
Oh, thank you, Linda, for your kind comment. <3 … I love what you did with the technique… Carole, give us wings so we can fly. : )
Thank you, Sue. : ) We did talk about the linoleum pattern, and I love the effect of it. As we talked about before, I am not a pattern paper person, but I love to see what others do with it. Some people mix different patterned papers and get great results… I agree with you that there is still so much more to learn here. Take care, my friend. <3
No, Carole, I didn’t colorize the butterfly. I created two linoleum patterns: blue and orange. The orange one was added to the blue layer as a smoke texture… I also played with the angle. I will add the tile so you can see what I mean.
I’ve learned how to move a group mask layer… I don’t remember you ever showing this before. Cool tip.
No matter how long I have worked with the program, I know there are zillions of techniques more, which I don’t know. That’s why I am here, to learn from you and others that share their knowledge. : )
I finally managed to finish layout Day 7.

Thanks, Carole, for the challenge; I not only had the opportunity to practice creating masks, but I also learned new things.
I haven’t been here for quite a while and see tons of wonderful and creative layouts. Everyone has done an excellent job. Thanks for the inspiring ideas.
Bonnie, Minka, Ann, and Annie, wonderful layouts!
Annie, thank, thank you! You always cheer us up with your comments. Hugs, dear friend. <3
Here is my Day 6.
I love the linoleum technique; it creates unique patterns depending on the starting color, as we can see here.
The “linoleum” butterfly was created with a brush.

Everyone is doing an amazing job! Great to see each and every page.
Annie, thank you! <3
And here is my Day 5.
In this photo, we were sitting in front of a very nice old tower, and usually, we would be able to go to the top and have a nice view of the city… But since last year, this is not allowed anymore because it is impossible to keep social distance going up… Also, it is being renovated, and now the tower is surrounded by scaffolding… So, using the mask was perfect for hiding it.
Mary Solaas said she likes to add the date on something… so I decided to do the same and added the date on the cup… I have a special pen for that ; )

Carole, I did use a corner punches brush. The set is called Ornamental Butterflies-2 by mohaafterdark.deviantart.com. They don’t have a good quality, but as I lowered the opacity a lot, it didn’t matter. The butterflies I used for Day 3 are from the same set. I really had to look for it as my brush folders are NOT very well organized. : )

Ann, Sue, Gerry, Alicia, Corrie, and Barbara, lovely and creative layouts. Nice job!
Sue, I like the tip you gave to Annie about lowering the hardness and opacity on the outer edges, and I am going to this from now on…Like you, I am not a pattern paper person and always find it hard to use them in my layouts; usually, I hide them at the bottom, but I do like the linoleum pattern… You are the master of Word Art! I love them all.
Annie said: … “after playing around with a thousand different brush tips and then stamping frantically around the image…” You sure described me working with my last mask! lol
Your Day 3 page is spectacular!
Sue, thank you so much for your kind and supportive comment, dear friend. <3 … I am also happy to participate again in the challenges. : )
I love this hessian fabric look, and I guess I have used this paper a dozen times… I look at different outdoors/adventure kits I have, and in the end, I almost always end up choosing this one. : D
Annie, thank you so much, my friend, for your kind and supportive comment. <3
Carole, to answer your question: yes I am! : )
Wow, beautiful, beautiful layouts have been posted here. Great work, Everyone!
I am getting behind, and only today I could finish my Day 3 layout. I was playing with the mask and couldn’t stop.
Last year, there were not many places my husband and I felt comfortable going, as we wanted to avoid crowds as much as possible. So for this challenge, I am only using photos from two places.
The butterflies are brushes with the kaleidoscope pattern.

Cassel: I used the Alpha-Maker sample again but added the plaid pattern. I liked this Alpha script so much that I will have to visit Cassel’s Store.

Everyone is doing such an amazing job! And this is only Day 1… I am also looking forward to seeing more. : )
Hi Michele, really colorful, and I am sure it was not easy to find the right angles to fit the image. Great job.
Hi Everyone!
I also have participated in previous Love Story Challenges… I like it because it is about masks, which is a way for me to improve and feel more comfortable working with them.
Ann, Karon, Corrie, Annie, and Val, it is a joy to come here and see the amazing work you all posted. Great job!
Annie, both birds’ pages are gorgeous. I love everything, the layouts, the colors, and getting to know a little bit of Australia’s bird species.
Minka, lovely page with a very touching story about how you got to learn how to play.
Ann, you had a great photo to start and created a very nice layout.
Great work, ladies!
Annie, what a fun and colorful layout! And on the side, we get to know more about the Australian fauna! Great work, my friend!
Wow, so much new lovely work posted here! There are too many for me to comment individually, but as always, the Campus is the perfect source for inspiration. Great work, Everyone, for showing your work and sharing tips!
