Here is my project again and to slove the issue of the shadows I have mirrored my photo so the shadows on the photo are also coming from the top left. With this photo it isn’t a problem to mirror, but not every photo is suited ! It looks better I think.
Annie, lovely page and thank you for your comments on mine. This silver dollar plant is a very familiar one for me as it grows here. At some point I have had them in our garden too. Over here it is called the “Judas Penning” which translate to Judas Penny, because it reminded the people of the silver pennies Judas got for betraying Jesus.
Ann S, you have been busy!! I see your work everywhere, the studygroup, another Bootcamp and all the challenges. Wow how do you do that, do you have time to eat and sleep?????
Well it’s time I post something here. It took me some time to admire all your work, you guys have been busy. But now I’m up and running again. With all the computer problems I didn’t buy FilterForge, there will certainly be another time I’ll do so but with a new PC + the update for PSP 2021 it was expensive enough! Although PSP was cheep, a nice offer.
This is my contribution for the studygroup. The plaid paper and the paper with the little flowers I did myself because I could not find something in my stash that matched the colors of the photo. It is interesting to redo the basic scrapcourse. When I took it for the first time I was such a rookie with no supplies at all and I now understand some things a lot better then before. It is worthwhile to do it again and this time with a little group.

This is my Module 3. I have used papers and elements in my stash that are complimenting my photo and not from a specific kit. I did the same with the fontcolors. The Daisyfont is Ministry of Moron.
Carole a question. The shadow in my photo seems to be coming more from the top/right side. But if I was making a scrapbook page in the old way with real papers and strings then I would put that photo on it regardless of the shadow in the photo. So I have done that here too. For me putting the shadows coming from the right side feels somehow unreal. Should I have done that?
Module 3A: a screenshot of my workspace on my new laptop with the photo I intend to use for this module.
Carole I’m still in the process of installing everything back and found the Laplacian Blend plugin missing. So I downloaded it again and just as the last time Chrome seems not doing that (I can use Edge) but my husband showed me how to do it on Chrome. When you click on the download button for Windows on the website of Alpha Plugins you don’t get the normal download message with the exe in the leftside bottom of your screen. But you get to see the path for it. You just have to copy that path and past it in the searchbar on the top of your screen. Then the installation starts. Because there were a lot of people having this issue I thought I better tell you, I suppose you know this little trick, but nevertheless!
Before my computer problems I had just started on making new greeting cards and now I’m finally able to finish this one. And I post it here because this font also has glyphs. It is called Wild Rose, a freebie from Creative Fabrica sometime ago.
The background is made with the Kaleidoscop tool and I applied a mask called nesting which I found on Pixelscrapper.
Monique, I have the same problem installing the plugins on my new computer, hope Carole can help!!!!
Hello ladies, great work! I have not been here for more then a week because my laptop crashed and sadly couldn’t be repaired. I have a new one and have spend the last week installing everything back, customizing, updating to PSP 2021 at the same time and so on. But now I’m up and running again and can go play with all my new programmes. I haven’t had the opportunity yet to explore them.
D = Dream, of better times ahead!!
Carole yes I have all my subfolders back!!! The only thing that is missing is Pic-To-Painting. I remember when upgrading to 2020 I also had this problem and I have forgotten how to solve it. I cann’t find the help instructions from Corel; they are not in my emails and not as a printout, stupid I know!!! But at that point I was such a rookie…..
I changed the shadows.
Hi, I’m back!!!! My new laptop is great, but it took a lot of time to install everything and customize it. I’m not completely done yet. Not everything is working as it should. Luckely I had just completed saving my supplies to a extra disk following the “save your resources” in the tips and tricks book. Now I’m in the process of pointing PSP where they are, but I’m not getting my subfolders at the moment and not all my scripts are showing up! Besides that I upgraded PSP and have all the extras.
Carole, after all the hard work I’m indeed suffering from withdrawel symptomes and decided to take the time and do my project 2. I have the Open as a Layer on a blue star icon. The photo which I used I haven’t uploaded seperately. This is our station square where there is a major reconstruction plan carried out for the whole of this year.
V = Vacation
Hi there, I will be a little late this week with my responsess because my laptop broke down!!! I’m in the process of installing everything on a new one. I’ll be back.
This is my take on project 1. For the backgrounds I used papers that I made just trying stuff out. The ones I liked I saved and on the yellow one I adjusted the color a bit with brightness and contrast because it was to bright for this lay out. The title is made from an alpha from Carole some time ago. The brads, arrow and frames are in my stash and come from Pixelscrappers.
This is the 2nd time I do this basic scrapcourse and it makes a lot of difference to the first time. Then I had only done the bootcamp and had almost no supplies, just what Carole made available. Of course I had photos and wanted to do more with them. But now I see that there are things that I missed or have forgotten ! So already worth while!
M = Meditate
For Module 1B I will use 2 photos I made just the other day on a walk in a little wood nearby. To the left are the originals and to the right the ones that I adjusted.
For the photo above I used: Adjust – Brightness and Contrast – Levels to give it a little more color. And for the snowdrop I used the Depth of Field.
I hope you can see the difference in this resized page. On my actual LO maybe I’ll crop the snowdrop a little.
Laurie, I use a laptop too and you should have in the top toolbar somewhere on the right side a tab with prt sc (print screen). You must press this tab + the Windowstab. Then you find your screenprint in your folder where you have your pictures listed as screenprints. Hope this helps.
D = Drink, a nice glas of maybe wine, just a glas of course!
Carole, should we post here or in the Pics & Comments section as I did ?
I have an addition to making a screenshot. I’m working on a laptop and when making a screenshot I must use the Print Screen tab as well as the Windows tab to do so. Maybe a tip if some one has a problem doing this.
Hi Bertha, welcome to the Campus. I”m Dutch too and there are more Dutchies here. So you can always ask, everybody is willing to help out!
And here is the screenshot of my workspace.

Lovely paperclips ladies. Minka you made me laugh. In the past I have done something similar but with pins, we found some of them month later!
Sorry I forgot to mention the font is Snow Bold which was a free one from Creative Fabrica some time ago. The 2 bottom paperclips are from Pixelscrappers and the Sunday one is from Carole as is the blue matt. The background I made using the Kaleidoscope. The little watercolor snowflakes are picturetubes.
Here is my Paperclip Challenge. We have had a cold spell with a lot of snow for Dutch circumstances. It has been many years ago that we had so much snow. The whole country came to a stand still for a couple of days, no newspapers, no deliveries, no trains, no bus services, the garbage was not collected! I know for many of you this sounds ridicules!!! So I made this impression of our winter with paperclips added.
U = Unexpected letters (bills!)
I haven’t been here for a while and it is treat to look at all the different pages that are made and read about birds etcetera! I was busy on the Love Story Challenge and have posted my work there and on Facebook. After a challenge I always have to clean up the (computer-)mesh I make with bits and pieces everywhere. It is just as scrapbooking with paper without the actual mesh on the floor! But I love it.
For this page I used the photo of Sue Thomas which we could download a while ago. It took me some time to deside what to do with it. I wanted to find a place for the owl to sit on and on my walks I was on the lookout for a suitable tree. The Tarnished Trumpet colors fit nicely I think. I made a polkadot background, but gave the dots a blur. Font is Brush King, 2 simple frames, Cassel’s cornerpunches and the floppy bow and 2 mice for the owl to feed on. I used blend modes one the tree photo because I took it on a fine sunny day with a intense blue sky, not something you associate with an owl.
Sorry I thought we were on E again, wrong page! But I have an L
