T = Tuscany (Toscane) a very beautiful part of Italy
I took me a while to come up with a layout, it was a very busy week with al kind of things to do! I have this photo that my daughter send to me lately with one of the grands and their dog meeting their mouse. Don’t ask me why, but the song “We’re going to be friends” by the band The White Stripes popped up in my head. It is of children who go back to school in the Fall and make friends. I used the WordSlats script on the photo, made a scallopped mat and used a paperclip I had made before. The background is a paper I had in my stash and I made a pattern with a white stripe for my text.
Q = Quebec – I have never been to Canada but I heared some lovely stories about the province/town.
I have registered too and just like Cristina I like the name workshop! It is great that you offer extras for the members and I’m glad I’m one. I will be happy with all the choices but my favourite is: additional and exclusive quick-pages, because they are a great inspiration. So thank you!

Bonnie and Ann your layouts are very different but I love them both!
On a walk a couple of weeks ago I noticed something yellow at the border of a small parking lot and went to investigate. It was a Gorse (Gaspeldoorn) and due to the extremely mild winter we have, it was already in bloom! This plant has very sharp spiky leaves and needs poor and dry soil. Without the bright yellow flowers it is nondescript.
I used the Honeymoon template and made a background with to metallic papers from Inky Deals with different blendmodes, I tried until I got something that more or less resembles a parking surface. The font is Star Bright.
G = Glorious that’s what these weeks should be!
A couple of days ago we had the first storm of 2022 in the Netherlands. The next day this photo of a mill in a coastal town was in the newspaper. Since 2019 storms get a name over here, at least as they generate a code oranje or red. The Netherlands, Great Britain and Ireland together make up a list of names each year. This year one of those names is Corrie, my name, but the name is in honnor of the first Dutch woman meteorologist in 1964. It was funny to see and hear my name all over the news, so I decided to do a quick layout about it. I made a frame with the worn frame tut from the new Lab for this month. The raindrops and umbrellas where in my stash, the title font is Stencil. The corner in red on the photo is the name of the newspaper.
Because this messageboard thing wasn’t very clear Carole has now included in her description of the challenge that you can exchange email addresses through the message board.
C = Cuba, the daughter of a friend went there on her honeymoon

Rene at some point in this challenge I’ll make a coverpage too in the same style as my other pages.
Pirkko thank you so much!
Well my visitors went home so I could finish my part of this photoswitch with the photos Ann provided. The photos are of the Hudson River in winter and an evening photo of New York. I combined both with a mask and the ran the Watercolor script which I recently won. The background is a linoleum one that I did earlier.
My letter C is for the Centre of my village. The shopping centre was build in 1965 and was the first indoor shopping centre of the Netherlands. It was situated parallel to the motorway that divided the village. In 1999 the diversion of the motorway gave the opportunity to re-develop the centre. A big underground parking was build on what had been the motorway together with a green entrance-allee. A big enlargement of the shopping area was realised with a combination of offices, shops, apartments and restaurants.
In 2005, at the roundabout, a work of art called “Het Uilenbos” or “The Owl-forrest” by a wellknown Dutch artist Marte Rölling was put. It consists of 7 pillars of weathering steel on which 21 goldplated elements and 6 owls are attached.
Rene the album you did is very nice and cohesive; I like it very much.
Bonnie your cats make me smile!
Mary Charlie Brown is a well known figure and I didn’t know he (Charles Schulz) was from California. While scrapbooking you learn a lot of other trivia.
Sue that would be great and I am sure it will happen, if not now than on another round. In the mean time I hope to do Ann’s photos proud.
Cristina having had major eyeproblems myself, I feel for Annie and wish her all the patience needed and the trust it will be okay. Thank you for the update, it’s great that you are in contact with her and much better than all of us bothering her.
This will be a first for me, if I’m not mistaken it is a while ago since this challenge came up, so I have never participated before. When I just started here I was such a rookie and still working on the basic scrap course that I didn’t dare….
Y = Yes, in yes we can handle this pandemic if we do it together. I admit a bit far fetched but we seem to be stuck. Hopefully somebody else can be creative with the letter Z to finish of the second round.
X = Xenophobe With this pandemic we seem to be a little bit xenophobe because we tend to stay in our own circle/bubble of family and friends.
Mary thank you so much!
It wasn’t difficult to choose a word; of course it’s flowers! The watercolorscript is great with my flowers, I ran it a couple of times with different settings and this one I liked best. The background is made with 2 papers with different opacity and I played with the blend modes until I got something I liked. The fonts used are: Peaceful Nature for the capitals and Century Schoolbook. The border is a font too: Floral Dividers which go with the theme.
Lynda very interesting this aquaponics idea and a lovely layout!
I’m working through the mastersclasses; Carole your new index is very helpful deciding which one to follow. I’m looking at some older masterclasses that deal with the more basic tools, like the brush varience palette. I used the brush varience palette but now I see that was only the beginning. So I played a bit with it and made a simple layout with the results.
W = Winter season; in winter there are more covid infections then in summer.
T = Together, because that’s the only way out of this pandemic
My take on the sketch challenge. Over the last couple of weeks my Amaryllis flowered very beautiful. It had 3 stems and each stem had 4 flowers with 2 stems flowering at the same time; the last stem is in flower at the moment. I used the watercolor freebie mask from last weekend on my photo. The sketch was my starting point but I didn’t follow it completely. Made the papers, 2 other photos with details and an extracted bulb. The font is Rhapsody script.
Cristina thank you for giving us a message from Annie, many of us were wondering how she was doing. If and when you contact here again give her my best wishes for a speedy recovery, I miss her and her comments!
Minka I too love your layout and sometimes I’m a bit yealous of all that snow. Here we can have some snow, but nothing compaired to where you are from. This winter we haven’t had snow yet, instead it is misty, foggy, raining and everything is grey and dull. I’m longing for Spring.
