Forgot the shadows oops
Fear is not a fear when its been overcome, yes the spider is sitting on my hand; I also had that snake around my neck.
Hi Cassel,
All seems ok now, thank you. I do have another little problem, I have forgotten how to put a border around a photo using the “Selection Tool”; can you point me to the video that goes through this process please. I’m getting very forgetful, my wedding is only 3 weeks away, still haven’t decorated the lounge, and awaiting a CT scan to inform me how large the cancer has become over the past year. Don’t seem to have time to fit anything in. My intended is moving in and we are clearing her bungalow. The piles of stuff hasn’t gone above head height but it’s getting close.
Regards Colin
Thanks Karon, think I’ll have a go at the October Cake themed project next just looking for the photos to go with it. Have just the right photo’s but it’s in a video will have to take some stills
Hi,
This is my first Lab project titled BOOKS, just 05-09 but I have to start somewhere!
Hi Cassel,
Can you add me to the map please, Featherstone, South Staffordshire, England. It’s the village next to junction 1 of the M54 motorway.
Regards Colin
I know I’ve only just begun scrapbooking by doing the Bootcamp so I thought I’d give this challenge a go
Hello all,
Looks like I’m the first to put Project 5 in the forum, do hate being the first.
I found the photo and the frame online. I didn’t use a bevel I tried but the inside bevel ended up on the outer edge of the frame, I gave up on that. I’ve used bevels before and they have worked ok. I managed to get a promoted layer again, it seems to occur when I ctrl “C” a selection; but it all worked out in the end.
A thank you to Ann Seeber that colour chart will come in handy. I didn’t realise that I had used the artist colour wheel as shown by the diamond shape in the middle of the ring.
This is it the big reveal hope I didn’t make a pigs ear of it and again I followed the design of the tutorial.
Not the first after all, relief

Hi all,
Here’s my offering for project 4, looking at some of the others I don’t stray much from the video content, perhaps I need more confidence in any design abilities I may have. Connie Collier, that’s a very striking image, very nice.
The background is a PSP pattern which I just flood filled the layer. the striped element I created by using the rectangle tool with the fill colour changed each time, the outline width was set to zero. I did the 4 stripes and made a selection of them and just copy & paste. The photos are of my youngest daughter from 2004, she’s a big girl now and has flown the nest
Hi Carol,
Thank you for your comments, I always find them helpful and instructive. It is more than possible that I double clicked the selection under the photos. An increasing problem with age; the centre photo was cropped to fit as it was taken in landscape so what was left is just about a third of the original size. I used the corner nodes to fit the photo to the guides, the cropping and resizing may have distorted the image. the original is below.

Hi all,
Another project completed, the third; had one little hiccup when I selected the glitter to go under the photos I got two layers one a normal raster the other was a promoted selection. Don’t know how but I just deleted the unwanted layer. The butterfly was my own creation; I took an image, selected a gold glitter pattern, (same way as when we did the flood fill around the photos), then went around the outside of the image with the airbrush tool; after that I erased the original image.

Hi all, Boot Camp Project 2. Bit more challenging I used the wooden alphabet to do the main heading. I loaded each letter and pasted into the project, each on it’s own layer. I set two guidelines to give me the same height for each letter. once I got them positioned I selected all the layers and merged them together before adding the drop shadow; for the rest I followed the video. Yes I did remember to save in PSP, jpeg and jpeg resized to 600 x 600.

Hi all, Start with a note to Carol I didn’t add anything else to the Sandwich project the comment was just that. but I made and a silly error I only saved the project as a jpeg file, oops.
Now on to the day 3 project I followed the video and dived into my photos and found the birth of my youngest daughter she shares the same birthday one of her siblings. This time I save the project as a PSP file, a jpeg and a jpeg at 600 pixels; Also, I didn’t put the drop shadows on separate layers.

Hi all, day 2 and I’m keeping up; it’s a very nice sandwich but it’s missing the mustard and the pickles are a bit on the soft side. I’ve taken the tab documents off and it’s strange working without tabs.

Hi, I’m using PSP 2021 ultimate set to complete mode; the colour of the work space is dark gray with medium gray background. I keep the materials, layers navigation and learning centre open at all times plus organiser and tool options. The tool bars that are open are the standard, scrips, status and tools. I have a collection of photos from 2000 to present so I have a lot to choose from. Photo is of spiders web.
Hi, This is my first time at scrapbooking although I’v been using PSP for a good few years. Feel like I’v stepped into the deep end by going for the boot camp but I’ll give it a go
