I ordered prints of my 5 layouts. I plan to include them in my large scrapbooks with all my paper pages. They came out great. I KNEW 12×12 was big (I have done paper for years) but I guess I never realized that my pictures would be so big when they were printed! I usually put 5 pics or so on a page (when doing paper), so to have pages with only 1 picture… it is bigger than 5×7. My little brain hadn’t put that together. I plan to add some paper ephemera to each page (tickets, etc). I think I like this combination scraping. And I will definitely try more layouts with multiple pictures.

Shannon – I had the same problem, too, with my mat journaling not showing on the 600 pixel size page. I ended up converting the vector to a raster layer and then all was fine. – Casey
Day 7. I love seeing how everyone did something completely different for each lesson, but still followed the basic steps. I have learned so much. Thank you for this free tutorial.
Day 6 homework. I am slowly getting faster and don’t have to pause the video as often to catch up.
Used free kit from MagsGraphics called grateful heart. Needed to find masculine colors and elements.
Thank you!
Question – What companies do people recommend to have these printed in 12×12? I want to insert them alongside my paper scrapbooking. My printer here at home doesn’t take paper that large. So I will have to upload them somewhere. (Are we even allowed to recommend printing places on this forum?) Thanks for any advice. – Casey
Day 5. I finally learned how to put a mat behind my picture! Time to go make changes to Day 3 project now.
I also just realized that I am using the same family group for all my pages. I guess we are camera happy when we are together.
Here is day 4. I spent some time getting some papers and embellishments from free sites. I tried to leave them a Thank You note!
Just got around to looking at everyone else’s wonderful pages. And their comments about how they created them.
I really have a lot to learn! When this bootcamp is done, I will probably find some PSP tutorials on youtube and learn the software better.
Finally did Day 3. (Life got busy). Here is what I did.
I struggled moving the text to right justify. Kept moving it off the page and I coudn’t move it over. I will play more with it.
Edited to add: I want to “mat” my picture. Put a contrasting color around it to make it stand out more. I think that would be creating a rectangle of color and layering it behind the pic. Hopefully we will learn how to create rectangles this week! 🙂
Just finished cleaning the driveway of 13 inches of snow. So NOW ready to play around with this! I ended up downloading the trial version so that my screen would look the same. I am still a PSP newbie. As a result, I set up all my colors and palettes to look just like the ones in the videos so that I don’t confuse myself!! And now I see that day 2 has arrived. Will get there soon.
My name is Casey. I have done paper scrapbooking for many years. I am not sure that I want to switch to digital, so this seemed like a good way to try it out. I use PSP to edit my photos before I print them out for paper scrapbooking. So know very simple things like color correction and cropping and cleaning up images. Nothing about layers! I will probably need lots of time and patience to figure it out.
