Greetings,
Here is my Day 1 silhouette. I’m behind but will still enjoy learning the skills and being inspired by everyone’s ideas.
My husband and I took a trip to France several years ago. It was a great history lesson and museum march. It is amazing how we both were enjoying that aspect of it.

These projects are lovely to view!! Mine will be just practicing the skill Cassel showed us. I got behind. I downloaded a free image from the Internet to use as a background to off set my text. I tend to enjoy bright colors. I realize the edges of the image don’t align but I still wanted to practice the text on a path. For some reason, I think it’s fun to put text on paths.
Day 3 project here. It was gray and cloudy and our governor just said we are on “stay at home” orders until May 31!! It was hard to get motivated to do anything today. But I’m very fortunate to be able to stay safe at home. Hope everyone is doing well.
Instead of exchanging any gifts at Christmas, we go skiing with our son and his wife. Those trips are priceless memories!
I’m still enjoying the playing and learning about text.
I have no scrapbooking experience so I love looking at what others are doing. When I lay out papers and elements, to me they look bad. When others do it, I think they are delightful.
I always think that everyone’s work reveals their personalities. I wish I could meet everyone of you!! You are all so artistic or doing something fascinating.
I decided to practice what I learned on Day 1 and incorporate it into Day 2.
PSP is such a powerful program. It’s so much fun!!
Hi Bonnie,
I tried your suggestion and changed the font but that wasn’t it either. I spent hours on it, too, and discovered that everything fit the way it should if I turned off Bold. I used my original font with bold on and off and everything worked when I turned off bold.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Thank you for your suggestions. Did you convert to raster before or after you duplicated the layer?
I love seeing the creativity in everyone’s projects!!
I had an issue with mine that I hope someone can help me with. I thought I was following Cassell’s instructions. I created my text, applied a bevel, duplicated the outline layer, then on the new layer, filled it with a color and made the out line transparent. The fill color was always offset a little and left transparent gaps inside the text. You can see it on the G and O. Any ideas what I need to do differently.
I’m going to post only my text projects. I have a different project I need to finish. But obviously, I’m not playing golf!
Here is project #5. My family and I took a trip to the Revolutionary War sights last fall and really had a nice time. It’s a good thing we all enjoy reading sign. We also enjoyed cannolis from the North End Italian bakeries. and relaxing in the Bell and Hand Bar where the colonists strategized the revolution. These have all been fun projects to do.
Sharon, your page is beautiful!
Here is my Project 4 image. Cassell had some really useful shortcuts on this lesson. I enjoy golf so I found some free backgrounds and images from Google but tried to use her techniques. I admire the designs and layouts everyone is using for their pages!!
Thank you, everyone for your encouragement. I’m finding this challenging but fun.
I had to learn some skills to complete this project. The Discovery Center of PSP and youtube were great helps.
I followed the video but I must have a different version of PSP because I couldn’t get the text selection feature to work. I’ll continue to pursue that. I loved learning how to work with the grids, playing with shadows, using the different features of the selection tools, and how to make transparent backgrounds.
I have never done any scapbooking and am thoroughly enjoying everyone’s designs!!
Hi everyone,
Here is my Day 3 project. I’m having fun learning a lot of new things and relearning some old. I’m not sure I did the right project for Day 2 so I am uploading Day 3. Someone please let me know if I am not posting the way I should.
I am not creative so I really enjoy looking at other projects!
HI everyone,
This is my first bootcamp. I’m new to Paint Shop but have worked with other photo editors. I’m looking forward to getting acquainted with PSP.
Here is my sandwich. I’m looking forward to viewing everyone’s work. It’s always inspiring to see what others create.
