Michele – You’re right — that was a great use for that script! What a nice result! Love the color combinations – the pics just pop!
Here’s my Day 3. The photo is one I took of a Javalina that was in our campsite in the Davis Mountains State Park (in Texas). The background and the stripe are ones I created from some other pictures of mine.
Sue – Great job with your Day 3 pic! And what a cutie!
Great work, all! Well done!
Royanne, the stars with the white shadow/glow just sets the picture off!
Gail – Nice looking sandwich, in my opinion (it’s got the plate covered, so it’s GOT to be a good one!). Having fun and learning is what it’s all about!
Dawn – Your butterfly-themed card 4 is gorgeous! Very nice work!
Michele – That’s a great use of the Old Book Alpha! It fits perfectly with the rest of your image!
Cristina – You’ll get caught up, just keep having fun and enjoy the ride!
Thanks, Annie! Your placemat looks awesome!
Thanks, Cristina!
Nice job, everyone! Great imaginations and embellishments!
Hello, everyone!
Day 1 – My workspace color is dark gray, my background color is medium gray. The palettes I use consistently are layers, materials and tool options.
Day 2 – Here’s lunch. I added a dessert plate up top.
Dawn – That’s a great card you made! Love the results, and thanks for the info on what you did/used!
Royanne – Sounds like you and your family have lots of good memories wrapped up in sewing! Very nice work on your pic!!
Marlene – Your string theory pic looks great!
Michele – Well done on your latest gaming group pic!
Annie – Really cute ABCDE Sewing pic complete with examples!
Dawn – Love your result! And your hand painted wren is beautiful. You’ve done well to showcase it.

Y = Yarn

Nice work, Michele!
Annie – Another nice work! Like the reference to the song in The Sound of Music, too! Perfect for your composition!
Royanne – Great story! It made me smile, as I think about those “uh-oh” moments in my sewing. Your shower curtain looks great, and what a super layout you’ve made to showcase it. Nice work!
Really nice work, Annie!
Amazing costumes, Cassel! Bet your kids loved them!
Annie – Sweet memory captured nicely! Well done!
Very pretty, Dawn! Nice work!
Michele – I agree with you. Would like to see that challenge!
Royanne and Shannon – Great job showcasing your family photos!
Day 7 – I used one of my fuchsia colored roses for this final exercise of the challenge. I opted for a varied polka dot background that I created using the technique Carole described in her tutorial. I didn’t do the wire text, but instead, decided to use the font Christmas Wish Calligraphy and the sculpture effect with significant drop shadows to ensure the text wasn’t lost in the background. For the outside frame, I flood filled with the color of the rose, then used Graphics Plus – Cross Shadow.
Day 6. The font I used is Canela Bark Bold Personal Use (free font, can’t recall where I got it, though). Bokeh and I are not good friends (LOL), but it was good learning how to do this.
Annie – Your parrot bokeh looks great — good idea! Aus – I know exactly how you feel! I’ve redone mine several times, too. However, you shouldn’t worry, because yours looks just fine. The mask you chose works well with your picture.
Redradar, your Bokeh picture looks great! Nice work!
Beautiful bird pics, Annie and Sue! Nice jobs showcasing them!
Linda
Day 5. Last year, we had a pair of cardinals nesting in our yard and were fortunate enough to be able to watch the young males and females as they grew. The youngsters have rather strange looks compared to their adult counterparts.
Thank you, Annie, for your nice comments! Your posts look great and I especially liked the books. Sue, I particularly liked your antelope picture. It’s nice to see the personal touches everyone has on their images!
Day 4: The subject I chose for today’s is a beautiful but invasive flower, the American Lotus. Creating my own mask using the watercolor brushes that were part of the download allowed me to tailor the mask perfectly for this photo. I used a textured background, then added noise to it. I used Graphics Plus – Cross Shadow plugin on the frame.
