Carole,
Here is the post that I used for the FB sparkle challenge. I used the effect AbstractCurves to make the rings, your script for the jewels. I made the curled ribbon using AVbros.
I am still working on flowers. After watching the tutorial on “Folding Paper,” I decided to try and make a folded petal. I used the warp tool “snow” to eliminate some of the straight edges and the pen tool to round of some of the straight lines on the petal.
I put the Cass-gradient creator in my trusted folder as per instructions, and it shows in the scripts dropdown as being in the trusted folder. However, when I try to run it, I get the message that it needs to be in the trusted folder to run. Since it is in the trusted folder, I don’t know why it won’t run.
The red flower is from Diamond Tutorial 1. I then became addicted to making flowers.
The orange and yellow flowers are from the same tutorial using a flower petal that I had made and saved in preset shapes. For the yellow flower I gave it some texture before I watched the tutorials on vectors.
The two spiky flowers were made after watching the tutorial on the warp brush.
The purple flower was made using Cass-circle spiral script after a texture was applied after watching the 2nd Vector tutorial. I should have added a shadow to the middle but stupid me only saved the merged file. The center was created using the glitter brush that I had made after watching one of the Christmas lessons that was on YouTube(before joining). Now I would like to learn how to make a petal curl.
Next year will be our 55th wedding anniversary. The stone is emerald created with Filter Forge. I scanned the picture from our wedding album (June 8, 1968). The lace is my own which I scanned some time ago. The hearts are from Chandahlia and the fonts are from deeezy.com.: Broadway Engraved and Gomuno Bubble. I used layer styles for both fonts.
I always use Avery templates for my cards: half fold (8.5 by 11) and note cards single fold for the 4.5 by 5.5 cards. The card paper is scored so all I need is a guide to the centers. They were downloaded as PSD files which I saved in a pspimage format. Since I don’t have any pictures of recent grads, I downloaded the gnomes, balloons and papers from Chandahlia.com. The inside bow is a tube recolored. The script font is FrancineHMKbold which the Hallmark Card program loaded into my fonts and also Castellar which I believe came with the computer. I added additional sides to my card to make it fit my template. All the schools that I attended are blue and gold.
I wanted to use one of my pictures of my son and grandson(who is now 15), but I also wanted to learn what Carole was going to instuct us on using the stork. The background is a gradient, the font is Baby Olivia with a gold stroke. The ribbon was created from a Janet Kemp paper from Digital Scrapbook. I added scallops to the selection and then created a pattern that I used for my frame. My cards are printed on half fold card paper, size 8.5 by 11 that is scored for folding . I have a card template that I converted to PSP that has a line denoting where the fold will be. It works very well with my printer.
BTW, I am so happy to be a new Diamond member!
Background papers are from Creative Fabrica, the gnome element is from chandahlia.com, the font is Fiolex girls. The corner hearts are from Cassel.
The font is Chocolate Heart from dealjumbo and the background papers are from Creative Fabrica. Flowers are from digital scrapbook.
Cupcakes are from Chantahlia.com. Square and ribbon backgrounds are from background papers that I have downloaded(I wish I had kept a note of where). Font is Flamingo Shadow. I can’t resist bevel and shadow. All the bevels were made using layer styles. The card background is a gradient. I also made the candles and flame.

Most of the elements on the card are my own. I made the pointsetta and ornaments last year for various Christmas cards.
The gold paper a part of some foil gradient papers that I downloaded and changed the color to gold. The balls spelling
“Merry” were actually made in PS several years ago, but I find the I am using them quite a bit for Christmas cards. The ribbon was also made several years ago.I will definitely participate. I am currently working on a wedding card.
I will definitely participate since I make a lot of my own cards!
I changed my “Concentration” project to include the frame that I made with bowling pins. I used the vector tube script using the pen tool to draw the path lines. I used a layer style to bevel with the bevel set to 20 and opacity to 25 and then added drop shadow.
Carole,
As you know, I am not good with shadows, so any critiques on the frame shadow would be helpful.
Carole,
Thank you for checking out tablets for my grandson. I thought the stamped bubble wrap looked wrong when I added the shadow and even reduced it. I did go back and remove all the shadow, and it looks a lot better.
Concentration is another grandson, Logan, who turned 21 yesterday. I purchased a bowling kit from “My Memories” to use for this project. The bowling ball was originally black, but I changed the color to match my project. The frame and background are from Marisa Lerin. The papers are from designbundles.com. All of the other elements are from the “My Memories” kit. The font that I used is Broadway Engraved, blue stroke of 10 and yellow font.
I know that I am really bad at shadows, so I have been saving the shadow settings e.g. paper, thick things, buttons, etc.

My 7 year old grandson, Thomas, loves to draw digitally, so I purchased “Procreate” for my iPad. There is a special folder where I download his pictures and print them for him. (He actually knows more than I do on manipulation.) For this project I used various papers from the kits and papers that I have downloaded (I can never remember which is which.) The spray paint graphic is from “The Good Life Kit”. The easel is from deeezy.com and the pencils from a sv learning elements kit. The font is JellyBelly-a free font from deeezey.com. The fourth picture is Thomas’ original art. The Procreate logo was a free download.
I have done “Busy Bees” in a prior bootcamp, so I wanted to change it up.

To carry on my daughter theme, we love hats, I used three different pictures of us in hats. I used a combination of mini kits from Pixelscrapper-the background papers, the flowers and one of the other elements. The swirl was created using a brush with a glitter fill. The gold dots were from a free download from DealJumbo which has a lot of free items and fonts. The font is called Protocol FF that was also downloaded from DealJumbo. The stripes were created from a PSP pattern, originally blue, but changed in Hue/Saturation. I put a shadow on my title so that it could be more easily read. Also, instead of placing my photos on top of the glitter paper, I put them behind and cut out where they were situated. I then used bevel on the glitter frame that I had made. The journal letters were a little hard to read on the paper that was chosen, so I added an outer glow using the layer styles. BTW, the drop tool works with layer styles bevel, making it much easier to change colors.
Carole, I have started saving the drop shadow settings for the various items and hope I am getting better.
I thought that I submitted this yesterday, but now can’t find it. Once again I used the cpjess-minikit golden hour with some additional downloads. The font is Broadway Bold, and the photo is a self taken at the beach in Hilton Head.
Carole, I tried very hard to follow your instructions on shadows for everything except the title which I had to reduce to 5.
I downloaded a mini kit from Curiousity Pantry called Golden Hour, some sea shells and some confetti from Pixelscrapper. The font is Annabel 1 and I applied a PSP layer style.
Carole,
I have been experimenting with the PSP layer styles. The hardest part is with the bevel colors which are not user friendly, and you have to guess approximately what color you want to use. Maybe you know a better way to generate the color that you want.

What a good idea to add a napkin! I played around with my AV Bros page curl to make what sort of looks like a napkin.
I added a pattern to the cup, dish and background. The letters and doily under the coffee cup are from a Marisa Lerin kit. I have been experimenting with layer styles and also tried to use cut out to give some depth in the coffee cup and dish. Any suggestions for the cut out are very welcome.
I used a layer style for my name which I saved call dsgold.
Thank you, Susan
In addition to the Hilton Head Beach, the horizon shows Tybee Island, although it is very small. It was taken with an iPhone, but I used Smart Photo Fix to bring out the colors.
Hi,
I’m Donna from North Olmsted, OH. I love the Bootcamps because I always learn something new. For instance, my palette preferences were changed after reading Carole’s preferences. My workspace preference is black with tabbed documents unchecked. We just returned from Hilton Head, S.C. so I will be using the pictures that I took there.
Carole,
I can’t find the link on your site to upgrade to PSP2023.
I am working on birthday cards for my grandsons. I used a “Happy Birthday” paper from Marisa Lerin and the license plate script from Cassel. The men in my family are all bowlers, so I made the bowling pins candles from scratch. Thomas will be 7 and Phillip 15. I am still working on the inside of the card. The post is of the back and front. It takes me forever since I can never make up my mind.
Thank you, Carole, for this Scrap Bootcamp. I am so glad I finally signed up for a bootcamp since I don’t scrapbook. However, so many of the tips that I learned with be so helpful with my card making. I never have used kits before, but now I can see how useful they are. Lining up objects is extremely helpful, and the use of shadowing is much less of a mystery to me now. I also loved the edges tip and will try to make a rounded brush for scallops. I love to use my own graphics, so I will be experimenting with creating my own embellishments and backgrounds.
I used my pictures from our visit to a Butterfly house when my grandson was just a toddler. He loved the butterflies, and he could practically touch them. He is now 15. The lone butterfly was an extraction that I did and made into a tube.

Busy bee was perfect for me since I have several pictures of bees on my flowers. The biggest problem was finding the appropriate images to use. I found a lot of useful images at DesignBundle.net. I learned a lot doing this project.
Thanks for the information, Carole. I did notice that not all of the pages had the option for PSD files. I only downloaded the ones that PSD for their versatility. My first attempt simply added a frame. They were not lined up, then I realized I had missed the opportunity to learn something new and revised my project. Here is my first attempt, no pictures.
