When I was a kid…long ago…the big Christmas dream for most kids was a new bike.
YMW, Annie…I found it on the web as I searched for my X word. I thought of Xmas immediately but didn’t want to use it. After reading that, as you know, I used it.
Z = zzzz…got to get to sleep so Santa will come.
X = Xmas
I have never like this word but this is what I found online today:
X represents the Greek letter chi, the initial letter in the word Χριστός (Chrīstos). And what does Χριστός mean? “(Jesus) Christ.” X has been an acceptable representation of the word Christ for hundreds of years.
Oh, Annie, I am so sorry to hear of your Mum’s passing. Like April, I have found fond memories of shared times to be comforting. Hugs and prayers for you and your family.

In 2011 the National Senior Games were held in Houston, Texas. My team won the silver medal in basketball. These 3 pages and the 2 above are some of my PHD (projects half done) pages.

Once a year Sudley UMC has a turkey/oyster dinner, their only fundraiser. This year was the 97th. The church is located next to the Manassas Battlefields and was used as a hospital during the American Civil War. Friends and I go to the dinner almost every year. We always leave stuffed…delicious food!
