Sheila, thank you for showing your page.. I like to see photos of old Castles and the way you have used circles and used the pins to attach.. very creative. Your whole layout is very effective in displaying your photos. Well done!
Hello Josee …I have not noticed your name before, so, if you are new to the Forum.. WELCOME!…. and I do apologize for not having your name typed correctly but my keyboard does not do French typing. Your page is really creative and I am sure your aunt will love it. I have not used Cassel’s puzzle scripts yet however your page layout has inspired me to give it a try.The puzzle photo you have done is really nice.
Hello Cristina and Marlene, thank you both for your nice comments on my buzz around card page.
Cristina I agree with you about the Campus and the Forum. it took me quite a while to participate in the forum because I had never done anything like this before. However over time I started to feel comfortable in doing so. I also feel it to be a friendly environment and agree it would be great to see more people join us. However even with just a few of us we can still share our ideas etc.. and hopefully inspire someone else to join in.
Best wishes to you both,
Dawn
This morning I have been playing around with an idea I had last evening… the page below is the finished result. As I often send a card greeting via email I thought this would be a fun way of saying Happy Birthday to a friend. I enjoy using PSP to make up cards as well as full size scrapbook pages. This one below I have kept full size so I can reduce the size to also make my printed cards.
Hello Cristina and Marlene, thank you both for the encouragement you give through the comments you make about the pages I have posted. It is great don’t you think, that the Forum can be used in this way. I enjoy seeing other members projects as we all have so many different ideas and techniques that can inspire us all.
Cristina, it made me happy to see your pages this morning, you have done very creative work. I have not yet tried the technique Cassel did in the No Kit Scrap2 lesson but you have shown how effective it can be. Sometimes when I try something new it can take quite a while to get it just how I like it to be. It is worth the effort though, as we learn new things each step we take. Well Done Cristina! and thank you for showing us.
Marlene, we have never got to do travelling so the photos our family have given me give us joy as we see all the places they have been. I am looking forward to more photos from them as they are on another trip.
Cristina, I am glad you seem to like the photos of Australia. It is nice to see photos of other countries. Hope to see your creations soon!
Here is another page I have done this morning, again focus is on Western Australia. I made the background paper and used the selection border method (I think that is what you call it) for the page edges.
bye for now,
Dawn
thought I would post another page for the Word Challenge – Around. I used a couple of elements from one of the Lab templates. I have been having a go at making some masks for my projects and the one on the photo I created this morning.
Marlene, a great page! My husband came into the room while I was looking at your post and he loved it to. This new Word Challenge does indeed give opportunity to showcase some of the many beautiful places in our country.
Thank you Cristina for your kind words. I have been using the weave effect on a few projects lately as I have found it to be a useful. As I mentioned above I am thrilled to have been given some photos to work with and I intend to make some more pages with them. The Word Challenge–Around will give me a chance perhaps of doing another page to post with some other photos of another part of Australia. Look forward to seeing more of your projects! Best wishes to you.
Bye for now
Dawn
I have been working on a page with some photos given to me by my sister-in-law and her husband who do quite a bit of travelling around our country of Australia. As I didn’t have any photos, I am quite excited as they have given me quite a few photos already and there will be more to come my way so I can use them in my projects. Cassel’s new Word Challenge.. Around… seemed to fit my page. I started out with a Template from the Lab and modified it to suit my needs. Thank you Cassel once again for the Challenges you put our way…. it is great !
Sheila, I agree with Cristina, you page is lovely. I especially like your flowers and your cookies. You are very creative with your papers. I would never have thought to use Filter Forge on papers. I have Filter Forge so maybe I will give it a try. I have Cassel’s Cookie Tutorial but haven’t as yet tried it. Thank you for showing us your creation… and hopefully we will see more!
Cristina, your page is really lovely and your layout on the page very creative .. I love the little frames you put on the photo’s. The stitching effect on the ribbon looks great.. I must try that. Well done Cristina! Look forward to seeing more of you projects.
Royanne thank you for your kind words about my layout. I stayed with the colours that were in my paper and the bear I used. Cassel’s corner punches get used a lot in my projects I love them.
Marlene thank you also for your kind words. I don’t have an abundance of photos, so for me, I enjoy the challenge of using what I have to create my projects.
Sometimes I hesitate posting because of the fact I don’t have a lot of normal photos, however I appreciate the encouragement I get through the comments I receive when I do.
Marlene loved your card, the out of bound effect looks great, this technique I will have to try. Below is my first effort for the 1-2-3-Challenge for May. My topic is an Evening of Dance. The 2 pictures are from a kit I purchased, however, the main girl had a bun in her hair so I decided to create a covering for it to add some interest. I made the little flower for the covering and did the wispy net look with Particle Shop plugin. I placed a ribbon at her waist to make the 3 ribbon required for challenge and I made the ticket from scratch using Cassel’s tutorial. I have a couple more ideas for this challenge so I might post them when done.
Cristina, I am glad you were able to get the Texturizer plugin, I did not know it was still available as I understand it is a very old one. I find it a good and simple one to use and go to it often for effects on my projects, however I am trying to use the one in PSP also for some other effects. Thanks for your kind comments on my layout. I agree with you about posting our work here in the Forum, I to find it inspiring.
What a great job you did of creating a Panorama view of Lake Argyle with those 2 photo’s Marlene! Thank you for showing it.
As I didn’t have photos of toys that I had as a child, I didn’t think I would be able to participate in this Month’s Theme Challenge Toys. However today I found a Teddy Bear in the Toy Tube Set that came with PSP. So I decided to change it up a bit with texture and a little simple shading and have a go at putting up a post. I started out with a Template from the Lab and changed it to suit my needs. Cassel’s Corner Punches and String Tubes have come in very handy in all my projects. I am in my 60’s now but the memories of my Dad tucking me into bed as a child while I hugged my Teddy Bear will stay with me forever.
Bye for now,
Dawn.
Cristina and Royanne, you both did terrific layouts… well done! very creative.
What a lovely layout and story Marlene. I don’t recall seeing a Bobo Doll when I was growing up. However what a treasure for you to still have the doll and the warmth of those memories.
Thank you Marlene, Sheila and Cristina for your lovely comments, I appreciate your encouragement. Cassel’s Master Classes on Perspective and Shadows are a great help also. The Forum is a great place to encourage one another in our activities and projects using PSP. Look forward to seeing more of your creations also!
I forgot to mention the wall effect was created with Cassel’s Brick Wall script that i have just purchased. It is a great script.
Bye for now,
Dawn.
I have been spending time learning how to use the Perspective Tools so I can make card templates for my projects. I have made 3 templates so far. This one below is a 5×7 stand alone card so I can display my card projects a bit better and to show how they would look when printed. As next Sunday is Mother’s Day here in Australia this will be the card I will give my Mum who is now 98 years old. The Rose and Lace Fan on the card was made using a script I purchased. The Ribbon was made using Cassel’s script. The other elements I have made using a paper I created and textured and used a Rose Brush I made. I am sure there is still more I can do to improve but I am enjoying the process.
Thank you Sheila for your comments but I must let you know I did not draw the robin I was never any good at that so I did a tracing with the authors permission from a book I purchased on beautiful Song Birds. However the painting of the bird is all my effort. Sheila your post really caught my eye, the colour looks great. Marlene I hadn’t thought of the robin as a Christmas card, but it is a good idea thank you.
I am really enjoying seeing all the beautiful work that is being posted and to use Cassel’s words… being Inspired.
Wanda,Marlene and Cristina, lovely photos you have done with this technique. Below is a pic of a Robin I painted few years ago when I was learning to paint in oils. I am no longer able to paint with oils so I do my painting with colour pencil techniques for some of my card activities. Here is my post for this technique Challenge Colour Focus.
Thank you Cristina for your comments on the page I did. I started out with Cassel’s Lab6-12 Template modified it to suit what I wanted. The texture in the papers I did was with an old plugin called Texturizer it has a burlap, sandstone, canvas effects in it . I also did up a rose brush which I have added to the pink paper.
Cristina, nice page, loved looking at the photos, it is nice to see pictures of other parts of the world. The photo scripts you used look great. I have not got them yet but I will put them on my want to get list. Look forward to seeing more of your page creations.
Here is my last pic for this Word ..Spring challenge for month of April. I tried to be a bit creative with this one and use the word as an action. Cristina and Marlene your pages are very nice. I also want to say thank you to Cassel for starting these new challenges.. I enjoy them very much.
thank you Cassel for the new challenges you have put up… I have enjoyed doing them. Here is my pic of a card I have just done to fit in with this Word Challenge.. Spring
Sheila I agree with your comment that there is some great pages being produced. It is a pleasure to view them all. Here is my pic of the 1-2-3April Challenge. I have in mind to create a 2 page layout with this pic on one side and another page with photos of my Mother and me to print out at some time in the future. The button on the flower could have been a bit bigger but never mind… this is it.
Cristina, scrapbooking is very new to me also. I mainly do cards of various sizes, however since the Calendar Challenge I have really started to get more interested in doing full size scrapbook pages first then reduce to the size I require for my cards. With Cassel’s tutorials and scripts I am still learning and I am sure you will continue to grow in knowledge also. Look forward to seeing more of your creations.
Marlene your 2 posts above are great….. I enjoy seeing your layouts.
