I too have enjoyed all the posts, beautiful work and wonderful memories shared.  There is always a slight sense of let down when something like this is finished … but, I am now being swept up in a new challenge … learning scripting!  Last pages dear friends, Day 7 and the back cover.  Thanks for takin a peek.  😉

Thanks dear Ann! I just had to put up a new profile pic because the other seemed all glasses and I just got a new pair which I prefer … still worrying about these things even at the age of 69! ;D

LOL! Minka it happens to me all the time but I think the secret is to choose them in the reverse order … I think, LOL! Beautiful and humourous page my friend. ;D

I found this beautiful photo of a mangrove sunrise so I decided to use it for a page and I didn’t want to overpower it with accents.  I did a fair amount of work on the background using overlays with blurs, blend modes, opacities and this is the final result.  Sometimes I can put together a page with loads of embellishments etcetera and it will only take an hour or two whereas this one seemingly so simple took quite a few hours … go figure!  Thank for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

I did use a blend mode Carole … burn with reduced opacity. Much nicer on the full size and resizing does diminish the effect. 😉

Gosh it has been fun perusing all the beautiful work … same templates and so many different results and I love them all.  You really are a creative bunch.

This is my day 6.  The blurb offers enough info without me repeating it here.  I did want to keep to a consistent background colour for the magazine but with this photo the sage green was a far better blend.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

Again so much beautiful work to take in … enjoyment +++, thank you.

Today’s page is about a ‘different’ kind of touring experience.  Possibly a lot may not enjoy as the temperatures can soar to 120F plus and that is why the residents live in caves.  Yes, we do have cave dwellers here in Australia!  Mining for opals began here in 1916 and Coober Pedy is known as the opal capital of the world.  The name “Coober Pedy” comes from an Aboriginal term kupa-piti, which means “whitefellas’ hole” … and that it is, lol!  And thanks for the tip Sue, I stretched the text quite a bit for the right effect.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

Here are my pages for days 4 A&B.  Carole I have to confess to cheating a bit by resizing these pages to 600 px on the shortest side.  It was impossible to read if I did it on the longest side.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

A delightful magazine page dear Sue. I just wanted to let you know that exactly the same thing happens to me with the text tool on occasions. I don’t bother to close down the program as I know that it will right itself in a short period of time. I was using 2021 and now use 2022 … same thing, go figure! ;D

Dear Sue you are so very right. I thought it was a bit hard to see but with a little verticle tweeking it should stand out nicely. I will give it a go when I find time. Thanks dear friend, very much appreciated. <3

Thanks to everyone who has given my work delightful comments … always appreciated my friends.  This magazine I am creating ‘Touring Australia’ incorporates the most popular holiday destinations in each state of Australia (7) and, as you can imagine, by no means covers all that is in the offering.  I am going from the east coast, south, west coast and finishing with the north.  As Carole has indicated there will be 8 pages I am planning a summary for the 8th page … but, that may change as things do.  This gorgeous photo of a sunset crowning the Sydney Opera House was a must so I hope you enjoy perusing.  All fonts used are the same as the previous pages.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

Day 2.  My home state Queensland with the Great Barrier Reef just a skipping stone from our shore.  I stayed with the same fonts and background overlay just changing up the colour to suit the photo.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

Well I decided to revise my cover page and make it a magazine size … 2550 pixels wide x 3300 pixels in height.  Following in the footsteps of Corrie, Sue, and Gerry and added a little extra in the sky with the font Vivaldi … tip came from Sue.  The overlay on the mauve background paper is aboriginal art.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.

P.S. Again such beautiful work by all and helpful tips coming from everywhere, what a Campus!

Well I decided to stick with the 3600×3600 format … not that you see a lot of ‘square’ magazines but why not be different.  I have sourced some beautiful photos of Australian holiday destinations so I thought I would go with touring Australia.  I liked the idea of a bar code so thanks to Cristina, Sue and Corrie for putting that idea into my head.  Fonts used are Magazine 2 and Times New Roman.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

I love the colours in this colour palette.  They are not colours I usually play with but I am up for the challenge.  Here in Australia it is the southern states that get hit with the frosty weather and especially Tasmania.  This photo of a wombat waddling along in the Tasmania snow was too cute so I just had to do something with it.  The background paper is my own following Cassel’s tut for blocking.  The flower elements are out of a beautiful kit from GTD – Inked.  The font used for the title is Kaligraphia Galana Tres.  The torn paper is from Pixel Scrapper recoloured to suit the theme.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

Very good Ann! I love your page and can see there are some I have read and some that I have yet to disover. You are soooo right … you can never have enough books and there is not enough time to indulge! Similar taste in books my friend, that is for sure. Thanks dear Ann, much appreciated my friend. ;D

Reading is something I love to do especially at night after I have gone to bed.  This page is a bit of a teaser and beneath the multiple overlays are 3 of my favourite books.  See if you can find them … Art started this with his can you guess where I live page.  The alpha I used for the title is from Far Far Hill.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D

Definitely the only way to go dear Sue … unfortunately I didn’t put enough depth into the texture. I used a lower range gray colour but I will know better next time. Something with a little more cream or blue would probably be best. ;D
