My first for this challenge. I don’t know why but I have never really tried to play around with much wordart but I am becoming attracted to it … probably just another thing for me to obsess about, lol! And, as I did’t jot down the fonts that I used I am now clueless … sorry! Thanks for takin a peek my friends.
Another lovely piece from you Sue and it sure is easy to appreciate the transient beauty of nature, thank you. <3
Great work Ann … and, you have put a big smile in my day, thanks Hon. <3
Beautiful Sue, I am starting to get a hang of this wordart thing thanks to your inspiration. <3
Love it Sue … and that is you in a nutshell! Well done dear friend. I hope Corrie sees this because she is starting to make her way with wordart. ;D
Thanks very much Sue, your comments are sure appreciated. I have a tendency to fiddle with templates as well and, as you say, they can be a good starting point. Bonnie has provided the link to Lady22 … thanks Bonnie, you are a star Hon.
Corrie, excellent work on this nested frames page. I love how you have woven the flower petals in and out of the frame, very clever dear fried! ;D
I love it Sue, truly delightful. Beautiful background and, as usual, delightful wordart. Well done dear friend and thank you so much for your lovely comments on my work … always appreciated. ;D
Another layout template by Lady22. Fonts used are yourookmarbelous and scriptys. Thanks for takin a look my friends. ;D
Thanks very much Susan, definitely appreciated Hon. Below is a link to one of Cassel’s tutorials regards templates on this site. I hope it can be of help to you my friend. ;D
Thanks so much dear Corrie … sometimes simple is best but I have to confess I think it has more to do with my mood! 😉
This one was very simple to do using a layout template by Lady22. I loved the photo which was the result of a Google search for funny birds. Fonts were Scriptys and KGHappy. Thanks for takin a peek my friends. 😉
Dear Corrie you have created another lovely page my friend and your wordart is really coming ahead in leaps and bounds. Well done hon … a joy to view. 😉
Fab page Michele … delightful colors and terrific use of the nested frames script … well done Hon. ;D
Marie-Claire, nicely done … and, Poncho is a really beautiful dog … I can believe he is your best friend. 🙂
Lynda, your pretty woman page is lovely and thanks very much for the link to the tutorial … I shall be perusing. ;D
Dear Corrie, nice work on the freebie challenge and I love the photo … very peaceful and calm. ;D
Terrific use of the freebie kit Ann and the photo of the waves on Long Islands is mesmerizing. 😀
Lovely work Sue. Cheeks looks adorable … gotta love ground squirrels. Lovely brads from the brad factory and your label is sublime. Well done dear friend.
Thanks for your kind comments on my Pelicans page, always appreciated Hon.
And … your Apple A Day page is also delightful … I think the ‘cheeks’ in your territory do very well indeed! ;DThis page is not overstated in any way which allows the Mountain Laurel to hit the viewer at full force. What beautiful flora Bonnie and I am very thrilled that something good has come out of 2021! Thanks for the info my friend, enjoyed perusing. ;D
Dear Corrie, well done my friend. It looks beautiful and you must be so proud … what an achievement. A party conversation piece for sure. Big Hugs to you! ;D
Minka … lovely pages you have created for snakes and travel. You inspired me with your snake page so I decided to do one on the green tree snake. Thank you my friend. ;D
Corrie … beautiful page on the humble dandelion … I love them … and your word art is very clever. I will have to get more into it. You and Sue are a great inspiration for me to get creating them. ;D
Sue … I think sparrows are plucky little birds and your one legged little fella is so endearing. A lovely page my friend. ;D
Bonnie … I really like your ‘all around the pickleball court’ page. Cool idea to put clouds into the cloud shapes, and the out of bounds technique has a good effect, well done. ;D
Lynda … nice showcasing of New Orleans and the cloud background paper is really cool. 😉
Ann … your Mandala Babies are toooo cute my friend. The background paper is excellent and the elephant, giraffe and bear stamps on the mandala are a good effect … very nice. ;DThanks dear Sue. You know this second one took no where near as long as the first because I had been working on them as if they were the same project. So I only needed to do a colour change on the background paper and the frames, and select different photos to insert. I guess the most tedious tasks for both projects were the journaling strips! Always appreciate your comments dear friend, thank you. 🙂
Wonderful work everyone. Same template and such different results … love it.
This is what I have created for the sketch challenge. I stole Minka’s idea and did it on snakes … thanks Minka. We aren’t much into snakes here in Australia because there is a 37 year old list that says 21 of the 25 most toxic snakes in the world are all from Australia so we totally respect and shy away from them. I do think the tree snake is lovely and the way it changes colour from juvenile through to maturity is wonderful. So, my sketch layout is a tribute to the beautiful green and yellow tree python. Thanks for takin a peek my friends. ;D
Sue, beautiful and beautiful my friend. You have showcased them very well … love them. ;D
Lynda well done my friend and it is a wonderful tribute to your garden! 😉
Corrie and Sue, thank you very much dear friends for your lovely compliments, much appreciated. 😉
LOL! You just crack me up Ann … love it. That pin is a pain especially when tapering it to a point with the pick tool. Like Sue, I created a template which I am able to fall back on whenever I need.
I hope this shows up now … fingers crossed!
Okay … this is my take on the scavenger hunt challenge. At the same time I am creating a page for the sketch challenge so I used the same template. Took a long time to create this one…… I created the diamond pattern and then used it in the title. The journaling strips tell the story of the Australian Christmas tree. I put the metal rings into/onto the twill tape. The straight pin is holding the twill tape to the page. Thanks for takin a peek my friends. ;D
P.S. I resized this for posting to 1600 x 800 so that the journaling strips would be easy to read but it is not showing that size here. I will split and post again later for those who would like the information.
