I think this is very clever Corrie. I love your background paper and the cityscape overlay suits perfectly. What blend mode did you use to achieve that effect my friend? An inspirational page dear Corrie, well done. 😉
You are very welcome dear Sue and thank you my friend! ;D
This is what I created from Lab 11 Module 6 … it was really fun to do. I had a bit of a trial getting the double scalloped edge to work out but the use of guides eventually did the trick. Thanks for takin a peek my friend. ;D
Both are so sweet Sue. Beautiful little critters and delightful photos my friend, well done. 😉
Sue, Bonnie, Anita, Lynda, and Corrie, thanks very much to all of you. This campus has become a world of knowledge and I am enjoying every bit of it. I am learning all about fauna, flora, history etcetera and all of you have contributed. Beautiful photography by Lynda and Sue. Lynda, the info you provided on mushrooms was fascinating and I love the quote. Your result for L11M6 is delightful … I was playing around with it yesterday so will have to showcase my effort. I see you helped Corrie with regards to info on her handed down pot. This is what is so amazing about this campus, we are all here to learn about digital scrapbooking and the rest is a huge bonus. Bonnie I see that you are branching from your beloved pickelball … I love the info you provided on the red shoulder hawk and the cicadas, thank you.
Karon, so very sorry to hear about the loss of your DIL. Sad to say but endurance is the only way to get through it all. You will be a rock for your son and I send love and best wishes your way … and thank you for your delightful compliments, always appreciated Hon.Q = Qatar (a country in the western part of Asia)
M = Malaysia
Thanks dear Corrie, always appreciated my friend. It is made easy for me as Australia is the smallest continent and a relatively new discovery for all intents and purposes. It will be harder for those like yourself who lives in the Netherlands and your continent is Europe! Fifty-two countries (including the Vatican City) squished into one continent … hell’s bells, I wouldn’t know where to start! We may in the not too distant future have 8 continents on the earth, below is an excerpt from Wikipedia …
The case for Zealandia being a continent in its own right was argued by Nick Mortimer and Hamish Campbell in their 2017 book, entitled Zealandia: Our continent revealed, citing geological and ecological evidence to support the proposal.
In 2017, a team of eleven geologists from New Zealand, New Caledonia, and Australia concluded that Zealandia fulfills all the requirements to be considered a submerged continent, rather than a microcontinent or continental fragment. This verdict was widely covered by news media.Who knows Corrie, we may even see that acknowledgement in our lifetime! Can ya tell I love GEOGRAPHY, lol! Looking forward to seeing your contribution to this theme Corrie as I love your work dear friend. ;D
Another for the challenge. 10 facts about Australia that you may not know. It is a strange little continent … being the smallest of the 7 continents and we Aussies are very proud of her. The font used for the text is Scriptys. Thanks for takin a peek my friends. ;D
LOL! It is lovely Anne and I am wondering if there is actually anyone who has seen the WHOLE world … I like your ambition my friend. ;D
Thanks dear Cristina and Sue … as always your comments are fondly regarded. Hugs to you both. ;D
Sue, I do that often. I love to use a pattern in my title but I usually end up changing it to a plain colour … as you say, they tend to stand out better. I do love the patterned Roses text though … maybe you will be able to use it in a future project! 🙂
Ok … revision done! I changed the CNN font to Comic Sans and all white … much easier on the eyes. Our little island state of Tasmania the font is black as is that of Western Australia … for obvious reasons. Thanks for takin a peek. ;D
Thanks very much Sue, means a lot to me getting positive comments from yourself. The page is a little disappointing in that some of the words on the arrows are illegible … even for me and I know the flowers, lol! In hindsight I should have used a different font … ah well, always room for improvement dear friend. 🙂
Dear Cristina, you really are a sweetheart. Your comments are always gladly accepted … I know they come from your heart and from your fondness for your fellow artists. Thank you sweetness. 🙂
A lovely wordart page Sue … of course, 🙂 A beautiful rose and a lovely phrase. Best of all, I love the way you have used the sunrise photo to fill the word mornings. You Go Girl! 😉
Anne this is a super saying and you have showcased it well. Nice work my friend. 😉
A fun phrase from Curious George and you have showcased it perfectly Lynda. And, your Keep Love in your Heart page is beautiful … very nice touch using opacity to enhance the text, well done my friend. <3
Love it to bits Ann … gave me another smiley day, really enjoying your wit! Apart from the smiles it is a great piece of work and I love how you added all the square punches, pulls the piece together perfectly. ;D
An absolute delight Sue and yet again your photography excels. What a beautiful little bird. You really are an inspiration to us all with your wordart creativity. I love it my dear friend, well done. <3
G = Geometric frame
Well here is a little bit of information about the floral emblems for the nation of Australia and for her states. If anything is unclear just holler and I will be glad to provide any information. Fonts used are CNN, Claudia and Segoe Script. The photos of the flowers for Victoria and Tasmania are a little unclear so I will provide some photos of them in a separate post. Thanks for taking a peek my friends. ;D
Seeing as there are only 7 continents in the world or 6 if you count europe and asia as one land mass I am guessing that we have to come up with innovative ideas relating to continents.
E = Europe
Lovely work Corrie … so many different fonts and the phrase is delightful. I really like the Nature Pro font, it lends a special touch. Well done Hon. <3
Dear Sue, I am so pleased that you like them, coming from you it is high praise indeed. Thank you dear friend. <3
ROTFL!
ROTFL!! Bonnie you are a crack up! Between Ann and yourself I have had plenty to smile about today. <3
Another wordart I played around with today. Danglers are becoming very popular in digital art and as I am a lover of zany and whimsical things I decided to put this together. Winter is upon us here in Aussie land so I felt it was appropriate. Font used is Curlz. Thanks for takin a peek my friends. ;D
Thanks dear Sue, so happy you had a peek my friend. To me the page looks very amaturish but hopefully I will improve as we go along … guess we all have to start somewhere, lol! An old hand at PSPing but wordart has me beat … go figure, ROTFL! You are always welcome to my praise Sue, I regard your work highly and your photography is exquisite. <3
I got the idea for this one from Pinterest. Fonts used Arial and Glamlips. Thanks for takin a peek my friend. ;D
