Here’s my take on the Friendship project: Bootcamp Day7 – The background is a black and white photo of the dandelion seedhead. I created the pattern for the striped paper with a selection from all 3 photos. (I also went ahead and made a plaid, which I also have posted for your downloading pleasure 😉 ) The bees on the flowers are stamps so they don’t have much depth.

Here is Day 5, the Adventure project. I did an homage to our farming area, the Black Dirt of Pine Island, NY, where 1/3 of the total of onions for the nation are grown. The literally “black” soil is amazingly fertile, left by a passing glacier as bogs which have been channeled and drained for farming. There are many different vegetables grown and even sod grass but the onions are world class.
The fonts for the title are Farm House Full and Farm House Shadow. I found the onions and the crate on Google image search. The photos show how the weather can change in an instant out on our “flatlands.”
Cindy: That looks very nice! I like the way you used a curved photo; it really stands out. You did a fine job filling in the font for the title with all your glitter papers. Way to go!!

Michele: That’s awesome. I love the look of movement you’ve created. Displaying the photo in slats is very effective. Great job!

Annie: Honestly, your wildlife from Down Under might as well be from some alien planet! 😉 Those coot feet are outrageous! Nicely showcased with footprints and I love your title.. GET A GRIP.. 😀
Here’s my Project #1. I have a new bird at my feeders. Introducing Mr. Red-Head.
Christina, that looks so simple and nice. I must be suffering from low vision ’cause I can’t find the bow you mentioned. Other than that everything works very well together. Well done!
My sandwich and table. Strange, no matter how many times I take this class I always enjoy this exercise. 🙂
Cassel, thank you. I’m laughing because I already had to deal with the “50 layers” option! 😉 So does this create a background paper? Perhaps with a mask for the photo? I’m unsure since I’ve never had a camera that would create this effect on a photo, though I see them all the time.

I have a question. This week Corel is offering free bokeh picture tubes (green and yellow) but I’m unsure how to handle bokeh. I think it’s a background effect for photos but what do I do with these Picture Tubes? I also seem to have a white one already installed, so now I have white, soft green and vibrant yellow. Suggestions appreciated! Thanks.
Oops, forgot to post my Freebie work here. Used the kit and a photo from my Facebook group. I added “greenery” which isn’t green and a PSP frame called Ice.
I also created a new Art Media background for my Wood Duck design, using the palette knife, twirl and blur utilizing colors from the duck.

I have some Mid-Hudson Valley, NY, landscapes to work with; not sure what to do with them yet. Here’s an example of our farming district; Pine Island with world-class onions.

Yes, Cindy, we need LOTS of repetition! LOL
That looks so nice, Cindy! That beautiful frame does that nice photo justice!
Acquired a rather nice photo of my granddaughter, the bride and her groom-to-be who are heading for a wedding on June 11. I made a mask for the photo, acquired the background and word art and ampersand from Marisa at Pixelscrappers and the lovebirds are from February’s Valentine kits. The font on their names is Aviation Cocktail Aged.
Minka & Christina: Thank you!

Been playing with a mask, and a photo that I enlarged to 12×12 and applied various effects and then twirled. The original photo is in the mask in the center. It came from Facebook/The Hudson Valley in Pictures and the photog is Melina Cronin.
Christina: I have 2021 Ultimate but can’t find Instant Effects. Where do I look?
Christina: Wow, what an interesting layout! All those lab elements work very well. I looked for the “impasto instant effect” but couldn’t find it. Is it part of PSP?
Having a little fun with a fun photo. Made a plaid from the photo and I tried out square-like corner punches and brushes that look like turtle toes. I made a pattern of the shiniest turtle shell and used it on the photo frame and on the brush pattern on the green paper. The bottom has some sort of “splat” 😉
I’m here too. Not sure how many designs I will do but I like the camaraderie in these forums.
Not sure about the color combo but I’ve been dying to use this photo, so here goes. The photo is from the Hudson Valley in Pictures by Susan Ward. I used the curved photo script on it. The journaling is from Wikipedia.
Lynda, very nice. If I had to choose, I like the purple one the best, probably because the colors work with the flower.
Playing with Art Media, using the palette knife with 3 colors and adding a Gaussian blur. Now I need to find a photo that works with these colors.
Lynda: So sorry for your loss. 🙁 Your layout is lots of fun. A memorable time, I’m sure. I lost two grandchildren myself, so I feel for you. ((hug))
I found this photo by Roger Pare and story by Judy Lampe Shelledy on The Hudson Valley in Pictures on Facebook. I created the background from a photo by Jennifer O’Shea last winter that had a lot of sky and I enlarged it so I could get a 3600px paper from it. I did a mask for the eaglet but it ended up obsured with the round frame that I created using the selection tool and then applying the chisel and buttonize. The pale bottom paper I used Cassel’s burned edges script and the label was in my stash of elements along with the sun and the trees. The title font is Curlz.

I love both your pages, Lynda! Of course I remember the Chevy commercial and your Sea to Shining Sea layout is marvelous, too! What a great way to display vacation and/or travel photos. Great photos, by the way. Your layouts really take advantage of the extra space in a 7200 width. Nice job on the mask for your truck! I also admired the concrete background on Sea to Sea. Great job!
