I used a freebie template from Corel to showcase some amateur wedding photos from my granddaughter’s wedding that occurred on Friday night.
Edit: Added mats and a frame..

Wow, everyone’s work is so inspiring. Annie, that beach belongs here; aren’t you hitting winter now? 😉 All I’ve been fiddling with is a North American map showing where I’ve touched down over the years but it’s not finished yet. Meanwhile…
I’m scurrying around with a wedding coming up tomorrow, Fri June 11 at 6pm (thank goodness that will be over!) My daughter, Laurey, is the Mother of the Bride. She has dubbed it The Wedding of the Century! My oldest, Debbie, just flew in from California with her son Will, daughter-in-law, Lucy and baby Magic who turned ONE last Friday! Baby Logan’s parents are in the wedding party. I’ll be traveling via limo with my youngest, Beth, and her crew tomorrow (but baby Sonya stays home), to the wedding venue up in the woods of North/East Pennsylvania at a resort called Silver Birches. We’ll have the ceremony outdoors and the reception is indoors. The zookeeper bride’s Puggle-dog, Riley, will be the ring-bearer among other assorted hi-jinx!
Pictures to follow. Meanwhile, here’s the Amazon shot of my dress.. 😀
I had fun playing with the script again. Getting the hang of it now. The fonts are Kleymissky, Century Schoolbook, Foglihten and Prida. The background is a red and gold streaked paper from Pixelscrappers latest freebie and I added all the square punches. I’m feeling a little witty… 😉
Playing with the Word Art challenge. I used cass-overlapped script for the first time. I used a PSP frame on the green layer which just shows as corner tapes. This saying just makes me chuckle

If the goofy fonts are hard to read, it says: “The human body is 90% water. We’re basically cucumbers with anxiety.” 😉

Michele: Stunning layout! Love your surfer! Where do you get your art? Your Fab Divas are so eye-catching! I have to ask, what size canvas do you start with? I’m looking to deviate from our standard square 3600×3600 scrap page. It doesn’t print well. My desktop doesn’t do 12×12. 🙂
Sue: 😀 Yes, that pin was in my stash from that tut but somehow it didn’t work right. Wasn’t sharp enough to penetrate the wood – I guess I really could have used a nail! 😉

Susan: Very nice! I admire layouts that are simple and effective. Way to go!
Annie and Sue: Thank you for your kind words. My biggest problem with the scavenger hunt was the @!#$%& pin! 😉

I finally actually did a Scavenger Hunt. I tried in March and it didn’t work out in time. Here’s my May version. Diamond paper background. Twill ribbon border in wood duck pattern using cass-mitered-corner-frame script; also cass-bow17 script. I now have all my frames inside PSP and this one is labeled cass-frame01. The straight pin is holding a journaling strip and metal rings are scattered.

Hi Susanne: Yes, you can change your post and uploaded image if you go back to the original and see if it shows the word “EDIT” on the top right. Click there and you can change/edit your text. You can also click the (X) at the top right of the image and it will be deleted. Then you can upload an edited version if you wish. Good luck!
Lynda: Here’s a link with some info on the Pine Siskin. They were very active this year; their migration was called an irruption because the breed seems to explode all over the map. The photos I used are not mine but show a siskin defending a food source and probably a nearby nest. They are small and don’t ordinarily take on cardinals.
Following the sketch, this is what I came up with _ Mandala Babies! I got the mandala from NicePNG and I’ve shown Magic’s giraffe totem, Sonja’s elephant and Logan’s bear within it. I got an element showing 3 clouds which I cut apart and made each into a mask for the photos using Cass-Raster-to-Mask script. The font is Birdy. Magic and Sonja will be one in June and Logan will be 4 months at that point. We are all getting together for my granddaughter, Jackie’s, wedding June 11.
Lynda: Sue is in Saskatchewan, Canada

Edit: I reduced the opacity of the mandala and changed the animal totems.

Lynda: Here’s the Pine Siskin and a range map. He or she was probably defending a nest in that series of photos.
Lynda: That is the little Pine Siskin who is quite a bit smaller than a Cardinal. They are easily mistaken for sparrows. Here’s a clear photo as I know they are a little hard to see on my layout.
I started playing with Cassel’s nested frames; dividing them with promoted layers (thanks, Lynda!). Things got out of hand from there! LOL I twirled the frames around and then applied Cassel’s raster-to-mask script to each and then ended up adding a bunch of bird photos I had of a clash between a female cardinal and a pine siskin. Here’s the layout I came up with…
Mary: I have that script also. It should be stored in C:Documents/Corel PaintShop Pro/2021(or whatever version you have)/Restricted Scripts. I tried it out and it just seems to put a green haze over a layout or a photo. It was one of the Corel freebies of the week awhile back.
Mary, that’s so nice to be able to create unique cards for each person’s realm of interest. You wouldn’t be able to buy such a collection. They are all totally cute and adorable. Have a great trip!
Lynda: Those seaside views through the frames are awesome. You are giving me ideas!
My, those Polaroid frames look great. They really dress up a photo. Love your rocks!
The final design for the May Bootcamp. Cassel’s is titled Concentration but mine is The House Wren. I was delighted when the Audubon Society released all of JJ Audubon’s illustration plates to the public for general use. I didn’t download all but I got the ones I am familiar with.
Annie: Do those Myna birds talk? Someone had one here that did.
Bootcamp: Just in time for Cassel’s Busy Bees class my daughter in Mendocino, California, participated in their annual Bee Bold Mendocino festival. She’s in the bottom photo on the far left with her drumming group. She made the mistake of posting all this on Facebook so of course I helped myself to their images. 😉 I created the striped paper from a selection from the small purple Bee Bold Alliance logo on the right. The title fonts are Aviation Cocktail Aged and Broadway.
When I was a teenager I had a few garter snakes in aquarium tanks in the basement of our two-family and my boyfriend/fiancé/soon-to-be husband was much impressed that his girl was a snake lover. He was big on wildlife and such, himself. My first job was at a newspaper and I was asked to write a column for the Outdoors so my debut was “Snake Lovers Anonymous!” I was surprised how many people responded. I think it was a secret society! 😀
Cindy: That duckling is so cute. Your colors work well with the blue sky and puffy cloud background. Nicely done, my friend.
Joe: Of the 3, I like the Florida Flora. All 3 are very well done and pleasing but that one is my favorite.
Christina: Your food designs are awesome! Of course they make me head to the kitchen, especially that Berry Pavlova.
Something else for this month; the frames challenge. I used a local photo and applied Cassel’s nesting frames freebie. I filled the frames with one of her green gradients she gave out around St. Patrick’s Day.
Karon: Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate feedback!
