Day 5 A day sailing in Ipswich on the harbour with a family we grew up with as kids.
We got a call out of the blue to join our friends on a day out. We all met up at our friends house and were invited on a boat trip as they had recently purchased a boat. It was a great sunny day, and I love boating. I did not expect to be asked to steer the boat out of the harbour from the mooring!! I have never done that before and was a bit worried about crashing their new boat! My family, including my sisters, mum and my hubby were all on the boat with our friends…..and there was one unexpected twist! One of our close friends also brought a friend with him and that person used to go to school with my hubby!! He used to sit next to him in class and had not seen him since school!
We had a great day on the boat, my sisters and I took turns in steering the boat. One of my sisters was very nervous at taking the helm so had a bit of help!I had a problem doing the Set of stamps when using the eraser tool it was not creating even holes in the stamps, I tried several times and it was just not working….so I asked Carole,. she requested a print screen with a black layer underneath……and as soon as I added the colour all the holes were ok!!! For some unknown reason the “grey” colour of the holes were miss-shapped and not correct….(added print screen below (image 3)) I was pulling my hair out trying all the settings to fix it but nothing worked!!
Great job Cindy. Beautiful postcards and stamps, love them all
Lorne Greene Bonanza & Battlestar Galactica
Great job everyone, and Gerry love your stamps, sorry for you loss <hugs>
Thank you Carole, I have a large selection of photos from trips I have been to over the years, and prior to taking photos, I used to collect postcards from all the places I visited, from age 13, as I did not have a camera back then. They also bring back memories of places I visited. I am a day or two behind on the challenges.
This one took a little time to do, selecting all the best photos to fit. I tried the leather tag, and for some reason the cutout was not working for me, I will try it again another time.
Day 4;
We visited Leeds Castle UK, which is not in Leeds, it’s in Kent!
We went in 2018 with my mum (she was 86 and there is a lot of walking to get to the castle, so we used the train), and then in 2019 with my daughter and her boyfriend. On the 2nd occasion we found the Bird Sanctuary, Flower Gardens, and a large lake, (there is also a Maze and children’s playground, but no spaceships!).
In 2018 we explored all the richly decorated rooms, in the castle and had a meal in a mobile cafe on site. In 2019, we explored the grounds as well as inside of the castle. We found a restaurant in the grounds with a great view over the Castle and the moat as seen in the Panoramic photo on the right page. They also had a little gift shop on the way out, with some beautify trinkets, ornaments, books etc. We had bought tickets which would allow us a free visit again this year, but with the Lockdown I don’t know if we will be able to go again this year.Day 3
7 Days in Jersey with my mother.
We flew from London City Airport to Jersey and arrived late evening, we were driven straight to our hotel. We spent the week exploring the island going to different places each day! The beaches were stunning, the people were friendly. We had a great time, and some lovely memories. I love how this template came out a bit like a postcard.Awesome templates everyone.
Day 2
A few years ago I went on a 7 day holiday with my mother, daughter and her boyfriend. We went to a small island off the south coast of England not far from Portsmouth. We travelled from London to Portsmouth by train, then Ferry across the Solent to the Isle of Wight, then another train to the south of the island where were were staying on a camp site for the week. During that time we visited lots of places of interest around the island and the most memorable was a place that Queen Victoria and her family stayed and called home. We looked in and around her grand house, with so many rooms and bedrooms still furnished and decorated as she had left it.Thank you Minka & Carole for your compliments. 🙂 Love the bear ART, I love Nature, and Animals too. Great job Gerry and I love reading the back stories to these trips. I have photos of other trips I have done over the years which will be digging out over the week.
awesome Minka
For this challenge I have created a memory of a holiday I spent with my mother 30 years ago. We went on a coach trip from London and across the channel to Austria, for 14 days. We travelled through Belgium, Holland, Germany, Black Forest, Austria, down the Danube, to Ulm, and France, We visited a lot of interesting places on long the way, including Hellbrunn – Schloss, Wasserspiele und Gartenanlage, where the garden had many water displays, and the owner of the castle used to love playing tricks on his guests with water shooting up from their seats in the garden. In Austria, we went to a Straus Concert played by the Straus Orchestra. Great memories I still carry with me.
Thank you Annie, 🙂 and I hope you find your mojo too.
Great job Julie , another useful tool, (depending on the version you use), is the perspective tool to make the buildings level.
I agree Michele. Thank you both 🙂
Great work ladies, love the Papers Linda. My mojo seems to have disappeared with the exception of making my kits that I sell in a few stores. These are my most recent kits.
I have been looking for my mojo this past week or so, and can’t find it….so if you come across it please let me know!I was working on something different, to previous creations, I was trying to emulate a certain style. This did not turn out the same as the style I was looking to create but was pleased with the outcome.
For me it was definitely the sizes of kits. When I first started purchasing kits (or using Free kits), they were mostly full sized kits. At a later date there was an added option to buy full size or tagger sized kits, at that time I thought the full sized would be better. However, the more kits I collected (free or purchased), it very quickly started to fill up my disk drive. Looking back I wish I knew why they had the two sizes. I did not know back then that it depends on whether you want to print for a physical scrap books or just to make tags with the kit. For me I should have gone with the tagger sized as I used them for tags.
Even now I see Designers with kits that have some very large files as well as some smaller files in them, when they are sold as tagger size kits. Some designers are not resizing files. It’s not only the space on your own drives, but when they are added to a store it can also eat up the hosting space, which makes it more expensive for hosting costs requiring a lot more space online. Now I design my own kits which are tagger sized, and I reduce all my files to make the kits a manageable size. You’re welcome, and happy to help 🙂
32 Bit plugins usually end in .8bf. There are some that are .exe like Eyecandy, and Alien Skin, when you install them you will see an old and often blue computer screen. These should be installed in the Program Files <x86> folder (32bit) Majority of the old plugins are 32 bit. There are more older plugins around than the new ones.
This site links to many of the original sites, where they may provide information on the plugins and also will link to the some of the linked sites may have the new 64Bit versions (This site also includes some freeware plugins for download (mostly 32bit). https://grafnet.com.pl/
Some of the old plugins can be “patched” using a program called Filter Meister, (FM PAtcher) so that they would work on new PCs, however, it can be a tedious process when you have many filters to do, and some of them do not like to be “patched”. I have seen some of these filters have the words “patched” & 64Bit in their filenames.
https://www.filtermeister.com/This site has some useful information on plugins and the installation of plugins inc DLLs.
https://thepluginsite.com/resources/freeff.htmThere is another program called Filters Unlimited (versions 1 & 2) where some of the old filters are imported into the program database, and will work on newer PCs.

Day 3
OK Day 2,
I did not have something else to go with the flowers that would make up a story, so I added something different for this page of my publication.
Iim a bit late joining I have been busy this week. I will try and catch up
There are some lovely designs here.
Here is mine for day one.
I played with one of the templates from Cassell; It was my mothers birthday this weekend. I used one of the family photos taken on the day. (My daughter was not able to attend as she had a wedding to go to that day). The photo was not taken by me.
I changed the original colours and patterns of the template to match the colours in the photo.
Thank you Marlene, this has also given me some other ideas for the next challenge. I love yours too, love the beautiful Opals. I have a friend in Australia and she travels around a lot for her job, she is a chef and works on sheep ranches feeding all the employees. I love hearing the unusual names of places in Australia far more interesting than our place names. So unusual living underground too.
CHallenge Day 6
Had a busy day today, but wanted to get this finished, It was one of those projects, that you keep changing till your happy with it, so it took me a while to complete and happy with the finished result.
