Oh, This is so exciting!! I love sharing, but usually don’t know who to share with. 🙂  I have so many things I’ve created using the tutorials and classes here. I can’t wait to get a few on here.

Thank you, Sheila for the really cute tags. That script looks awesome! I’m sure I can use those, so thanks again!! 🙂

So, here are all the files I created and used to make a Mittens .png for the Calendar Challenge here. This is the picture of it, and it is included in the zip for download here as well.  Also, everything I’ve made is using Paint Shop Pro X9. I do have an old version of Jasc version 8 on my computer, and X7 too. I don’t know how these files would work in them though… I didn’t try them in those versions.

The clothes pin was created using Cassel’s tutorial here:

        Clothespin

The knit texture was created by me, using a scan of a sweater I have and creating a seamless texture in PSP after playing with the “pattern” effect. The other knit texture was just used as a fill for the top of the mitten, but in the end I found a fuzzy look was best. However, the second knit texture was created using a tutorial for a tube, then to create a tile. The tutorial is here:
        https://www.doodlesbyladyfox.com/KnitTube/Knit%20Tube.htm

The Band of the mitten was made using a brush I created from a snowflake vector. I have included the brush and the preset for the variance settings.

The “clothes line” is made from a natural rope tube available in Cassel’s store, here:
        https://creationcassel.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15&products_id=444#.WFD1dmwtZ9A

Finally, the entire mitten is saved as a pspimage (Paint Shop Pro X9) in the original layers used to create the final .png file.

I hope someone will be able to use all the files somehow, in their scrapbook creations.

Here’s a pic of the png and the download ZIP IS HERE.

          Hello everyone.

My name is Paige and I’m from Utah, USA. I have been using PSP since around the year 2000, when it was still Jasc. I only used it to play with and print name tags and award certificates for a project where I was employed way back then. In about 2004 I became interested in Poser and DAZ. I’m not much of an artist and certainly cannot draw or paint, so the digital world was fascinating to me. I quickly became hooked on texturing the 3D models and trying to find the most realistic ways to create the skins for “human” models. I also loved texturing the clothes in the most realistic way I could. It was always very difficult to find tutorials or help using PSP for those things, but I endured. 🙂 I wanted to switch to the BIGGER program, but I’ve just always loved PSP and was more familiar with its abilities and functions (or so I thought). A few years later I lost interest in all of it. My kids were in high school and needed me for all kinds of things and I didn’t have much time to give to it anymore. I’ve been gone from the digital arts for about 9 years

Fast forward to 2015. I missed a few upgrades of PSP, but have caught up with X7, X8, and just recently purchased X9. I fell soooo behind in all the software for Poser and DAZ. I’ve become fond of the scrapbook world, although I’ve never been a scrapbooker. I found Cassell’s store and got SO excited with all those scripts. I’ve bought quite a few. 🙂  That’s how I found the Scrapbook Campus. After watching a couple of the intro tutorials, I was hooked. I got my membership recently and am so excited about all the information here. I thought I was pretty well versed in PSP, but boy was I wrong. I’ve followed along with the tutorials and am amazed how much I really didn’t think about in using PSP. I’m still wanting to get back into the 3D texturing, but the scrapbook thing is also very interesting. Catching up on everything is slow, but coming along. So, here I am. 🙂

I’ve attached the first and only scrapbook page I’ve ever done (so far), which was a couple weeks ago. I used a couple of Cassell’s scripts to make some of it, but am now working on how to do the same things myself, without a script. It has been so much fun! Can’t wait to get deeper into all the PSP things and learning as much as I can. The Scrapbook Campus is awesome!
