I followed all the tutorials in the bootcamp and really appreciated your clear demonstrations, Carole — thanks so much! It has been a busy couple of weeks as we brought home a new puppy in early March, and we have had some family visits. So, I am just uploading one page for which I played around with different elements and shadows.
I will post my latest project which was a combination from lessons 2 and 4. I reviewed lesson 3 several times and still don’t understand how I get the pattern I created from the photo to be saved as a patterned paper. I kept trying different commands, but when I opened up patterns in the materials palette the one I created does not show up. I can see the individual version but not a repeated pattern anywhere within the materials palette so I obviously am missing a step.
Anyway, the following picture demonstrates what I played around with instead. The dog Lucky is no longer among us.
I live in Canmore Alberta.
Regards!
For this project I found a frame to use around the pictures of my four grandkids from soon after they were each born, adding a subtle inner bevel to the frames. I used papers to create squares and played around with their alignment and some drop shadows with a few hearts and a bow. This was a lot of fun. Thanks for this excellent bootcamp.
Well I got stuck when trying to put a drop shadow on the blue rounded rectangle because somehow a selection box kept being highlighted around it. I eventually got out of that and was then able to drop shadow the pictures. I worked with some papers from Marissa Lerin. I wanted to try the pinking sheer effect and decided that I didn’t want to clutter this with other elements.
Hi again. I forgot to do the drop shadows on my panda project but I remembered today when working with two deer pictures. I used the Christmas kit paper as background but the strips of blue I made from a picture I had of a sunset since I wanted to match the tone of the bluish snow in the pictures.
I didn’t frame the pictures this time other than using the heart shape from M Lerin’s welcome kit.
I need to review the tutorial where you made the frames look like they had been cut with pinking sheers.
Like someone else when I went to upload the image the first time, I was unable to see the text. I took a long time trying to correct the problem, but obviously don’t understand what worked in the end.
Thanks again for a fun course!
I had fun playing around with this after watching the Day 8 tutorial–using the grid and text tools….Thanks.
My second scrapbook page attempt is entitled Alden meets Punkinhead. I used marisa lerin’s October plaid paper and ap hearts.
Hi My name is Alice and I live in the town of Canmore Alberta. Thanks Cassel in advance for this bootcamp as I am hopeful I will be far more capable working with PSP in two weeks! With respect to preferences, I am going with a medium gray workspace and light gray background. Cheers.
