This website decoration features Dirt Texture.  This was just fun and I wanted the archaeology feel.  So I took some images of my logo in different metallic forms (using various Cassel scripts) placed them over a black rounded rectangle layer.  I made two such rectangles.

On one rectangle I erased parts of the rectangle to reveal parts of the coins or artefacts.  The rectangle, or what was left of it, was then put through the Dirt Texture  as was the still complete rectangle at the bottom layer (this was should my erasing create gaps between the top dirt layer and the artefacts.

The clip-art archaeologist’s trowel isn’t too bad but I couldn’t find a way to make the brush look right.

The objects used Bronze It, Copper It, Gemstone, Custom Coin, Hammered Metal and Old Chains #1 Tubes.  They were mostly all twisted and distorted a little.
