Lab 6-3
- Multiple Scallops
- Scalloped Shape
- Translucent Envelope
The background is the photo itself. On one layout I added a ” outer space” layer on top of the background and reduced the opacity and used the eraser tool to erase any “space” from the surface of the moon. (looking forward to the next masterclass to see ways of blending that I would have liked to have done instead). the second layout is black, the photo itself. I made selections and flood filled them to make the frames around the moon. And thank goodness for tutorials, I found two on putting text on a path. I learned how to get the word “coupon” to be going in the reverse direction. Thank you Carole for those tut’s.
Moon photo and all elements are mine (except the space layer; NASA Hubble photo’s). Fonts from Creative Fabrica: Anola Space, Heart’s Owner, Spaceline and Wonderia.

October 30, 2022 at 3:09 pm #85282OMG Carole, I noticed I missed something and did an edit on my post and guess what, it’s gone again. Computers hate me.
This might have to do with I switched from Edge to Chrome. Edge has been evil and does so much in the background and slowed my system down. It is completely gone from my computer now.

October 30, 2022 at 3:09 pm #85284Three of my grandchildren dressed as the Mario Bros. video game characters for a Halloween party last night. I plunked them into the Corel bats freebie. And here’s Logan in the other freebie.

October 30, 2022 at 3:20 pm #85294Susan, it is back.
October 30, 2022 at 3:50 pm #85303The 100th and last Annual Bazaar of Sudley United Methodist Church. From the time we first learned of this dinner we have attended. Sorry to see it end…unless someone is willing to step and take the reins. It is a huge job and those doing it are burned out. Template by Christine Aufty, confetti time, 5 photo layout at Pixel Scrapper.
October 30, 2022 at 4:27 pm #85310thank you Carole. I think one of the layouts I put in wrong, cut and pasted only and didn’t use the little insert icon (I wont forget that again). I remembered on the second one to follow the correct instructions.
October 30, 2022 at 8:31 pm #85323Starting to work on ecards. I tend to favour 5×7 size. This is one of 3 I’ve done today. I can slot different photos into the empty paces provided. I’ve yet to write a personal message in the space below. Simple subtle framing. I use the same techniques in my more elaborate frames. Cutout, inner bevel, drop shadow, and buttonize.
October 31, 2022 at 11:18 am #85334October 31, 2022 at 11:50 am #85335Susan: I still couldn’t see your posts here in the forum so I went to the Gallery and rolled on the floor laughing at your “restaurant on the moon ad!” It is hilarious! The headline RESTAURANT OPENS ON THE MOON, NO ATMOSPHERE, is brilliant. I liked it so much I copied it and shared it with my daughter (hoping you won’t mind), so we could laugh together.
October 31, 2022 at 12:44 pm #85336Corry my husband is fortunately cured of the virus, He no longer lives at home, because of dementia (not Alzheimer’s but Louis Body’s) he is staying in a care home. For that reason, he did not infect me. From last Saturday I was able to visit him again. Today I brought him a very extra vitamin-rich smoothie for lunch because he is strongly weakened by the virus. I also cut his hair and trimmed his beard.
October 31, 2022 at 6:08 pm #85340Jannette that is a very unfortunate situation with your husband, I hope he is in a home that takes good care of the people that live there. I haven’t had a good experience with carehomes when my mother had to go to one. Good to hear has made it through. In the mean time I got corona from my husband and only a couple of weeks after the hip surgery it is not that good. My husband is ok now, he wasn’t very sick, but it is hitting me harder. But it happened, so I have to sit it out, back to the paracetamol to get some relief from all the aching muscles and of course no fysiotherapie sessions this week.
October 31, 2022 at 10:12 pm #85342Of course Ann, I don’t mind. It actually came from this Auto Lube shop that puts up a funny quote on their sign board. Some of them are so funny. I drove by and had to keep saying it over and over until I got home to write it down.
Another funny one this week for Halloween: I tried to tease a Vampire yesterday…..he didnt bite! ?
And my all time favorite: I was looking through the blinds at my neighbour….he’s so creepy.
I wished I had taken pictures of them, there is a new one every month and a different ones for special occasions.
Corrie and Jannette, I hope your loved ones (and you Corrie), are getting better. Being sick and trying to rehab is not a good combination.

November 1, 2022 at 5:12 am #85351Susan, we have jokers like that around here, also! Observe…
November 1, 2022 at 5:41 am #85352Susan thank you; rehab will simply take more time, but first I have to sit out this bloody virus!
November 1, 2022 at 1:29 pm #85375Janette,
I don’t know you mean when you said “Can we make this in all PSP numbers?” Can you clarify?
Lynda
November 1, 2022 at 5:14 pm #85382Linda:
That beautiful image you made Linda, I meant every year’s number of PSP. Maybe you made it in PSP 2023, I work mostly in PSP 2020 but I have 2021 as well. Hopefully this is clear enough. ? If not let me know.
Corrie:
I wish you full recovery soon of the coronavirus. I hope your husband is taking good care of you. And indeed paracetamol is working the best. And good sleep too; During sleep people recover the most I’m told.
love you both, Lynda and Corrie.
November 1, 2022 at 5:30 pm #85383Jannette, think you meant to say ‘previous versions of PSP’
I’m unable to find the link to catchy phrase. I just thought of one
November 1, 2022 at 5:41 pm #85384Aha, thank you, Sue. Yes, that is what we could say as well.
November 1, 2022 at 8:48 pm #85404October was a very busy month with a big deadline for me on the last day. That has passed, and I’m exhaling with relief.
When I saw (and grabbed) Marie-Claire’s lovely Autumn Memories template, I just wanted to get on it, but it had to wait. I was able to work with it (much to my surprise) and came up with this. Wee ghosties are Carole’s picture tubes. Photo is one I took at the dog park where I often walk. I love autumn so much and just want to try and capture the amazing colours all around.
Thanks for sharing M-C.
November 2, 2022 at 1:15 am #85457Ann, this is hilarious. My husband was building me a better computer and he had it offline while doing it. When it was finished he turned it on and let Microsoft do all the updates. MS Office (therefore MSWord) stopped working! Turns out they put a patch in for something and a whole lot of people couldn’t use MS Office. I’ll have to hear the story tomorrow, but he did text me to tell me he was a computer God!
I love this kind of humour. thanks for the laugh.
November 2, 2022 at 10:52 am #85464We also run into some words of “wisdom” from our local wings place. This is one of many coasters that they provide to the clientele.
November 2, 2022 at 11:26 am #85468LOL, Lynda.
November 2, 2022 at 1:23 pm #85470Julie, You’re welcome!
Beautiful photo, what a beautiful season autumn is.November 2, 2022 at 1:26 pm #85471Corrie, I’m so sorry that you now also have the corona virus. I hope it’s all over soon for you. Get well soon
