Colin,
Speaking of ghosts… when my husband was young and crazy he had a motorcycle accident and had an out of body experience. He says he was floating over his body and felt like all the troubles of the world just faded away. Kind of a nice idea.
October 12, 2022 at 11:21 am #84384Ann,
Your October calendar is quite beautiful. Nice job!

October 12, 2022 at 1:02 pm #84392Lynda: Thanks! I had the benefit of a beautiful big cat to work with. They are amazing. My granddaughter has the privilege of working with them at her zoo, where I saw their Caracal KITTENS! 🙂

my moving page
Phew… lots of cardboard boxes … I should have written more precisely what they contained. Not everything is in place yet. The view from the window is beautiful. There are old oak trees growing in the yard. The mask from digitalscrapbooking.comOctober 13, 2022 at 10:09 am #84458I made something for my cat’s “Gotcha Day”
October 13, 2022 at 10:17 am #84460Congratulations Pirkko! Your new adventure in your new home awaits. Don’t you just love looking out at those oak trees. When I’m finished my workout in the morning and I’m stretching, the window I look out (while lying on the floor) looks upon 3 huge trees, they are comfort; they are my cheerleaders, always there telling me to keep growing.
Ann, what a great idea to celebrate “gotcha day” with your cat girl. I will have to do that next year for my cat girls. Eve’s little black toe pads on a white paw are so cute. And your granddaughter…I’ve said it before, BEST JOB EVER! what could be cuter than Caracal kittens, or any kittens of any kind?

October 13, 2022 at 10:44 am #84466Susan, we refer to them as Toe-Beans! 😉
October 13, 2022 at 10:46 am #84468Pirkko, Congratulations on your new home and a stunning layout to celebrate. Your work is always eye-catching! That’s why I also lay claim to my grandfather’s Finn genes! 😉

October 13, 2022 at 8:10 pm #84483Ann, “Toe-Beans”…that’s hilarious. And I concur about Pirkko’s layouts, they are are always so well designed and inspirational.
Lynda, that story gave me goosebumps.

October 14, 2022 at 6:23 am #84494I never heard of “Gotcha Day,” Ann. I love the idea!
October 14, 2022 at 9:32 pm #84516Hi all, October is my birthday month so I thought I would put up a page of my own. I have followed a recipe for this one frames, ribbon, stitching, buttons, 2 photos, splashes. lace. I kept in tones to match the sepia photos. Random elements from my stash.
October 14, 2022 at 9:35 pm #84517I love how you’ve captured the beauty AND the dread of moving, Pirkko!
October 14, 2022 at 10:01 pm #84518Happy Birthday Shirley and many more… beautiful child.

October 15, 2022 at 12:09 pm #84558I was watching a U-Tube on masks by Carole and wanted to know if I could figure out how to make a template with masks without using the clip to it script. This was on of the tutorials. I did use the polaroid script to make one frame but everything else is from scratch. Since all the pictures were taken from the same photo, I really didn’t know what to use as titles for all of the picture frames. It was fun
October 15, 2022 at 4:42 pm #84571Shirley, Happy Birthday to you and a lovely page to celebrate it, you are looking great!
Lynda I loved to see a picture of the beautiful Mount Rainier area. I have seen the mountain but in another season when I visited my daughter and her family. I have a picture of it out of the plane window when leaving Seattle airport.
October 15, 2022 at 10:12 pm #84604Pirkko – I agree with everyone – lovely page and good luck with the unpacking – we always have boxes left over! lol!
Lynda – always enjoy what you post – great how you used one photo to make 6 different pictures.
Although I’m not mentioning any more layouts, great job everyone – I enjoy seeing what each person does – many different perspectives on how to display photos.
I think I have finally decided how I want to do this photobook for my daughter’s and my trip to Chattanooga; you know, Carole usually teaches us to have some sort of theme running through the book. I think mine will be the muted fall leaves background and the asphalt road with the blue car and the highway signs. Soooo, I again redid the first LO of the plan of the trip. I also completed the 2nd page which is “On the Way”. For that LO: title font is AR HERMANN, inner bevelled and shadowed and pulled out with the perspective; the papers, scatters, and elements are mine – the cluster was developed from Creative Fabrica’s sunflower, fall leaves from the picture tube; the green leaves, ribbon and scatter were from several PS kits. The button was created with Carole’s Brad Factory script from a paper I created from the transportation picture tube (love those tubes).October 16, 2022 at 10:55 am #84634I added a masked photo of the yellow flower I took, added it to the main photo. Created a frame around it, added a quote.
October 16, 2022 at 11:11 am #84636Thanks Mary and Corrie
Mary, love your travel planning and to do it with your daughter is a definite plus.

I played with Lab 8-9. I tried to make variations of the diamond shape – it turned out like this. I used the Eye Candy 7 glass effect, the PSP’s own Pattern effect and Levels’ Blend Mode. What do you like 🙂
October 17, 2022 at 9:00 pm #84722I was lucky to win a set of templates from MissFish at The Fish Bowl…masked memories. These photos are from September, 2019…it was a fun day…one we will remember for sure.
October 17, 2022 at 9:02 pm #84728This is my second project with the templates I won. My neighbor, 8 years old, plays American Football and I went to his game last Saturday.
October 17, 2022 at 11:29 pm #84737Sue, holy wow, beautiful.
Pirkko, I love that layout, what a great effect.
Happy Birthday Shirley, love that page.
Bonnie, winning anything is always so exciting. I like what you did with the masks.
October 18, 2022 at 3:31 am #84742Pirkko, and Susan, thank you very much.
October 18, 2022 at 9:50 am #84744Thank you, Susan!
October 18, 2022 at 4:20 pm #84752Sue very nice, you haven’t lost your touch during your stay away from the campus. Are you back in Canada now? I hope the saying goodby wasn’t all too difficult, although I know how that feels. Hopefully there will never be another travelban for visiting family. But I’m delighted to see a lot of your layouts to come.
October 18, 2022 at 4:41 pm #84755Because I was so busy in my kitchen, garden and guests I hadn’t been here for a few days, what beautiful work you have put together. What a variety of subjects and elaborations. A real pleasure to watch. And I never heard of gotcha day either. I did some research on it on google but it seems that not everyone is happy with it. So many people, and so many opinions. Sorry no image of me this time. ?
October 18, 2022 at 6:00 pm #84756Hi Jannette: I looked up Gotcha Day on Google and here’s what it gave me:
What is a Gotcha Day for cats?
A “Gotcha Day” is the anniversary of your pet’s adoption day. So whether you’re celebrating one week, one month, or annually, your pet’s “Gotcha Day” is a great opportunity to acknowledge and thank our pets for the love and joy they bring into our lives every day. That’s exactly what I intended with my little celebration for my cat, Eve.
October 18, 2022 at 6:40 pm #84757Corrie, thank you, for the lovely comment on my page. I’m still in the UK, with my son, daughter in law, and my two wonderful granddaughters. I fly back a week tomorrow. I know it’s going to be hard saying bye to them, but I will have such memories to cherish, until I see them all again.
