Thank you Susan. I can guarantee, you will have lots of fun with those Lace Edges. The lace used in the above page, isn’t one of Carole’s, but a brush I acquired a long time ago. In my opinion, Carole’s are of a higher quality, than the other brushes I have.
November 28, 2022 at 1:02 pm #87516I took advantage of Carole’s Black Friday sale. This is her Subway Art script. Only fooling around here but this script has so many options. All lines are on their own layer so editing can be done. Thanks Carole.
November 28, 2022 at 4:35 pm #87520Sue – love that lace wreath. Great job!
Back to the labs. Lab 10 Mod 8. Did not do the last requirement which is playing with diamonds (diamonds are a girl’s best friend?) but I will do a separate layout with it as it has possibilities. This is playing with pieces of paper (I remember playing with paper dolls) and piecing a photo. I chose the Memphis Botanic Gardens again. All elements, papers are from my stash. The title font is Bluebell and the journaling is Arial.November 28, 2022 at 5:21 pm #87523Daughter Debbie sent another shot of the Pacific at sundown, so I put it in Cass’s Holiday Window Frame. The background paper is ps_janet-kemp_95882_christmas-day-wood-paper. I used a snowflake brush on the border. The gnome and gift are from my large Christmas stash. The font is Banana Pancakes. I fiddled with the shadows that would be coming from the setting sun in the window.
November 28, 2022 at 8:11 pm #87529Just as well I made the most of the nice weather over the weekend. Today it has been a total white out. Playing around with snow Xmas ornaments. Used the snow globe template I made. Added some text, rather than an element. Using effects, geometric effects.
First chance I’ve had to scroll through to view the wonderful pages. So many wonderful pages submitted. Aren’t we all just very creative.
November 28, 2022 at 8:37 pm #87531This one is for next Xmas. Snow globe with a date stand. I used the mesh warp tool on the 20, to enable the globe to sit comfortably on the stand. Dimensions 2 script used on the date. This one is still a work in progress, in readiness for next year. As I still have to refine the stand, to make it look realistic.
November 29, 2022 at 2:49 pm #87546Wasn’t real happy with Lab 10 Mod 8 as it really isn’t my style, so I redid it.
November 30, 2022 at 3:52 pm #87640Well – I did do the diamond template that was a requirement of Lab 10 Mod 8 and while I wasn’t real happy with it, I did accomplish it and am somewhat happy with it. I used my background paper I developed in another lab with fall leaves on it and decided that for my tastes it would fill each diamond; the background is a PSP gradient; the chain is a Cass picture tube; the word art is from Creative Fabrica. All in all, it’s been a learning curve and I am glad I did it.
November 30, 2022 at 10:47 pm #87666As Carole says, you have to get out of your comfort zone sometimes.
December 1, 2022 at 11:15 am #87683Mary, I made the diamond template a while ago, but I couldn’t quite figure out how to use it, because I kept thinking of a picture, it never crossed my mind to fill it with a paper and use it like you did. Very nicely done! and thank you for the idea ?
December 1, 2022 at 12:17 pm #87691Thank you, Marie-Claire. YEAH – it is hard to know what to do with it. I have several other ideas in my head about how to use it – changing it up somewhat? I’m not sure, but it bugs me when I can’t figure out how to use something Carole gives us. I gues it is all about what she says: “Sometimes you need to get out of your comfort zone.” Stay tuned for the next chapter! LOL

December 3, 2022 at 9:52 am #87781Thanks Kasany and Ann. Ann, you should check out treehuggers.com , I think you would like it.
December 3, 2022 at 10:19 am #87782Thanks, Lynda. I tried that treehuggers.com address but there’s nothing there. Do you have a link for it?
By the way, I think we should probably be posting these in the December forum. What are you working on (in Dec 2022)

December 3, 2022 at 11:52 am #87791Lynda, I like your Chicago Christmas Card. Reminds me of the times my cousin and I took a train ride into the “city” from Algonquin.
