Sue, beautiful and beautiful my friend. You have showcased them very well … love them. ;D
May 26, 2021 at 7:08 am #58561Annie, thank you ever so much for your kind words, as always they are very much appreciated my friend.
May 26, 2021 at 3:11 pm #58568Hurrah, my book arrived today, I didn’t have to wait until friday and so here are 2 pictures of it. I’m very happy how I turned out; the flatbinding is perfect and I did not have to alter the pages I had made at all. I will have a conversation piece on my table; we are allowed to have more visitors at home now and I can show to them what scrapbooking is all about without having to turn the PC on. I’m sure you will recognise the White page from the last challenge.
May 26, 2021 at 6:49 pm #58575Very nice Corrie. I’m sure your visitors will get a thrill from your book.
May 26, 2021 at 7:50 pm #58578Dear Corrie, well done my friend. It looks beautiful and you must be so proud … what an achievement. A party conversation piece for sure. Big Hugs to you! ;D
May 27, 2021 at 2:08 am #58596I finally got on the bandwagon and used Carole’s nested frames freebie for my gaming group’s daily pic today. The script is going on my wish list in the store.
May 27, 2021 at 4:02 am #58597Michele: Stunning layout! Love your surfer! Where do you get your art? Your Fab Divas are so eye-catching! I have to ask, what size canvas do you start with? I’m looking to deviate from our standard square 3600×3600 scrap page. It doesn’t print well. My desktop doesn’t do 12×12. 🙂
May 27, 2021 at 5:32 am #58598Thanks so very much, Ann. I use a bunch of different sources. If I don’t have an immediate idea, I do a lot of googling. Sometimes I get inspired by things I see on my searches; sometimes I look through my supplies and something hits me. The surfer girl came from pngtree and I found it by googling surfer clipart. I was looking for something that would enable me to use the nested frames and I thought she was perfect. I looked on PixelScrapper for the background paper. It distracted from the girl a bit so I put it over a white layer and lowered the opacity of the surfboards lighten them up a bit.
If I’m starting from scratch, I usually begin with a standard scrap page. More often than not it doesn’t end up staying that size. For instance, this project started full size with the background, but I cropped it to be more in line with the frames. As far as printing goes, I am clueless as I don’t print my projects. I’m sure there are other campus members who can help you with that.
May 27, 2021 at 8:45 am #58599Ann, when I began digital scrapbooking I created 10X8 pages. At that time Costco would print and 8X10 for $1.50. I used Costco to print many pages. When I came upon Pixel Scrapper I began to think about 12X12 and now that’s the size I use. I don’t use my home printer to print pages…however, Costco has raised their prices and their quality has diminished.
May 27, 2021 at 1:08 pm #58600Lynda and Annie thank you so much! It was fun to make this book and really not that different from my usual photobooks with only photos. I then have more text in it because the photos need some explanation and sometimes some embellishments as well. I think in maybe a years time there will be another scrapbook! Annie hugs to you too!
May 27, 2021 at 9:30 pm #58609Fab page Michele … delightful colors and terrific use of the nested frames script … well done Hon. ;D
May 28, 2021 at 5:29 am #58613This one was very simple to do using a layout template by Lady22. I loved the photo which was the result of a Google search for funny birds. Fonts were Scriptys and KGHappy. Thanks for takin a peek my friends. 😉
May 28, 2021 at 1:40 pm #58617Annie, maybe simply but very lovely and very nice to see a couple of birds that I see almost every day. But I haven’t been able to make good photos of them.
May 28, 2021 at 5:20 pm #58639Very beautiful Annie. I will look into templates. I confess I dont know what templates are and which part is the template. Such a newbie.
May 28, 2021 at 9:01 pm #58645Thanks so much dear Corrie … sometimes simple is best but I have to confess I think it has more to do with my mood! 😉
May 28, 2021 at 9:05 pm #58646Thanks very much Susan, definitely appreciated Hon. Below is a link to one of Cassel’s tutorials regards templates on this site. I hope it can be of help to you my friend. ;D
May 28, 2021 at 9:42 pm #58647Again, so many fabulous pages posted. It has been another busy month in the forum. Well done all of you!
Annie, the Blue Tit and the Robin, are two of my favourite UK birds. They have such spunky characters for such small birds. You created a sweet simple page to show case them.
May 28, 2021 at 9:45 pm #58648Michele, you always create such lively pages. I love how you used the nested frames in the surfing page.
May 28, 2021 at 9:48 pm #58650Lynda posted a link to a splatter portrait tutorial, using watercolours in masks. A slightly different approach to using masks. I watched the tut, and created this page. The Skipper butterflies are some of the smallest, they are teeny tiny creatures.
May 28, 2021 at 10:56 pm #58653Another layout template by Lady22. Fonts used are yourookmarbelous and scriptys. Thanks for takin a look my friends. ;D
May 29, 2021 at 12:06 am #58654I love it Sue, truly delightful. Beautiful background and, as usual, delightful wordart. Well done dear friend and thank you so much for your lovely comments on my work … always appreciated. ;D
May 29, 2021 at 12:24 am #58655Annie These are very cool. I will give this a try. thank you for the tutorial info.
Sue Wow! that is beautiful.
May 29, 2021 at 8:04 am #58657Thank you Annie for your kind comment, your words are always kind and encouraging my friend. I should have used a more colourful photo, so much of the splatter is black/ grey.
Your latest page is gorgeous, what tiny mammals they are and unique to your continent. It’s a fabulous template. I tried to find Lady22, would you be good enough to send me a link please. I don’t use templates very often, when I do I tend to change them. They can be a good starting point.May 29, 2021 at 8:09 am #58658Susan, thank you for your kind comment
May 29, 2021 at 8:43 am #58659Everyone created lovely, creative, and inspiring layouts… If all of this wasn’t enough, full of informations, about nature, places, techniques… Great work!

There is a preview of each template and a download link.
May 29, 2021 at 10:55 am #58662That’s great thank you Bonnie. I’ve noticed that many of you use her templates, but I’ve never thought to take a look at her templates until now. I will certainly be using them for inspiration when it comes to layouts. They are very much my cup of tea.
May 29, 2021 at 4:58 pm #58668I see so many lovely creations, it’s a joy to scroll through them and get new ideas. I will certainly look into Lady 22 templates, thanks for the link! I fear I don’t have time enough!!! But I have made something from the nested frames, I had to search my photos for a suitable one, still with a flower one it too.
May 29, 2021 at 5:54 pm #58669I’ve had a quick look at Lady22 templates. They are lovely. I’ve already commented on your lovely nested frame page on Facebook.
