For Mothers Day- in memory of our Mom
Using Lab 11-5 Couldn’t decide whether to go with the original colors or change to purple because of my Mom’s favorite purple iris

Lynda, very nice. If I had to choose, I like the purple one the best, probably because the colors work with the flower.

Lynda, lovely and just like Ann the purple is my favourite too because of the colors.

Annie great work with your bags! Hope you will find a way to use a corner punch once in a while. I love them and use them frequently.

Not sure about the color combo but I’ve been dying to use this photo, so here goes. The photo is from the Hudson Valley in Pictures by Susan Ward. I used the curved photo script on it. The journaling is from Wikipedia.

🙂 I am smiling dear Cristina because I had thought that I would do another of that particular grab bag. While I love the colour green … not really the right background colour for a cafe/coffee theme. I will give it another go and then you can decide! Always very much appreciated my friend. ;D

Lynda, this is truly a beautiful tribute to your mum and I love it. Wow, she was an attractive lady so I can see where you get your looks from. The masking you did on the iris are beautiful and the frames are delightful. Warm colours are always my favourite but I guess in this case the purple is the way to go … whichever, both are beautiful! ;D

Clever lady Ann. Your background is perfectly suited to this gorgeous photo of the wood duck. My gosh … those ducklings are so young when they take to the water and forage for themselves! Nature is a beautiful thing. Lovely my friend, enjoyed perusing. 😀

Haha, Annie, and I thought the green worked perfectly with the illustrations… By the way, I love the illustration and the font… Now, I am curious to see the other project. : )

Lynda, I prefer the original colors, although as Ann pointed out, the purple fits better with the flower photos.

Ann, I like the color combo very much, and the whole project looks great. I am a big fan of the curved photo script.

Having a little fun with a fun photo. Made a plaid from the photo and I tried out square-like corner punches and brushes that look like turtle toes. I made a pattern of the shiniest turtle shell and used it on the photo frame and on the brush pattern on the green paper. The bottom has some sort of “splat” 😉

My cousin in PA sent me a photograph of a button puzzle. Gave me an idea. I created a bunch of buttons with Carole’s button machine script and some from some button scripts that I made. Put them on one layer, then added two more layers and I rotated those layers for full coverage. Then I ran Carole’s JigsawPuzzle script, added a wood background. This is much brighter than what my cousin sent but it was fun to make, it’s somewhat quirky.

This gave me a chuckle. Great job using the turtle shell for color and photo frame. Very nice!

I’m playing and learning how to use the goodies I bought with the birthday sale and also those I got for my own birthday. I used wordslats, ribbon factory, soft bow, eyelet, quick scallops, decorative stitching and edge punches. The background is made with the colors of my photo and the kaleidoskop. The word LENTE means spring, Now I have to try the others I have. T0 be continued…..

Annie thank you. Praise coming from you means a lot to me and I confess it was a bit of a struggle to bring all these scripts together in 1 LO. I’m liking to be able to make my own supplies and not make do with what I have downloaded, although having said that I do like collecting stuff for future use when I come across something nice…..

I hear what you are saying Corrie. I have collected thousands and thousands of scrap kits, tubes etcetera over the years and the pity of it is that probably 95% of them will never get used. At least I have contributed to artists and supported the community in that way … that’s what I console myself with anyway, ;D

Ann, very nice plaid and layout. I love the corner punches.

Lynda, very interesting layout with buttons and the puzzle script; I like it… Congrats on creating your button script! …I have thought of purchasing the PSP Script Course before, just to be learning something new, but I am always postponing… I will probably do this sometime this year.

Corrie, for sure, it was not easy to use so many goodies in one layout, but it came out great.  Cassel’s script, tubes, etc., are a time saver for us; they are worth every penny.

I am still trying to catch up with the Lab tutorials. Here is the layout I created to practice the tutorials from the Lab10 Module 11 (Googly Eyes — Monster Alpha — Seeds Beads).

I didn’t have any Halloween photos, so I adapted them to a Rock & Roll birthday party, with graffitis on the wall. Also, the photos were not of the best quality, so I added “Impasto Instant Effect.”

I started with “Scrapping with Liz” Focal Point template3-9 and tweaked it to fulfill my needs.

Been playing with a mask, and a photo that I enlarged to 12×12 and applied various effects and then twirled. The original photo is in the mask in the center. It came from Facebook/The Hudson Valley in Pictures and the photog is Melina Cronin.

It’s only the 8th, but I am already in pack down mode to make my yearly trek back to Maine.  Closing down two places is a bit daunting by myself as both have to be left hurricane ready.  This year I smartened up and hired some help to come in and do all the heavy lifting toward the end of the month, but I still have to do the cleaning out of refrigerators, freezers, porches, etc.  that kind of thing.  Can’t even leave solar lights outside as they would be a quick missile through any window.  As the years go by, I THINK I am getting it down to a rhythm — but I’ve also learned of many new resources this year that will gladly accept any surplus food items, clothing or even small appliances and furniture.  Seems with such a long term effect of Covid-19, there is need for a lot of things.  I am so happy to put them there!  They told me that one of their most requested food items was kid type cereal.  I guess I can make sure there are a few of those in there. 🙂  Even the post office has a huge drop box for any unopened foodstuff!  Still, there is work to be done and my playtime has been seriously cut.  All for a good reason though.  Maine, family and home await. 🙂  This project is kind of busy, but to tell you the truth after the very STILL past year and a half –  I CANNOT WAIT to be busy again.  I am used to a busy life and surroundings.  I am a go with the flow gal … and that often means there wasn’t anything penciled in … just fly by night and get in the car and GO! As people are moving around more it seems so uplifting for the spirit!
