Hearin ya Michele … Smith was my favourite probably because of his quirkiness. Tennant was cool and I enjoyed Capaldi but for some reason whenever Dr Who is mentioned the first picture that comes into my head is Tom Baker! <3
February 23, 2021 at 8:42 pm #53851Thanks Karon … looking forward to it. <3
February 23, 2021 at 8:44 pm #53852I hope Laurey likes it Ann, it is unique in the turtle world. So glad you liked it my friend. ;D
February 23, 2021 at 9:04 pm #53853More trivia for Karon and Michele … David Tennant’s wife (Georgia Moffett) is the real life daughter of Peter Davison who played the 5th Doctor. Peter Davison (Peter Malcolm Gordon Moffett) also starred in the BBC’s delightful tv series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ in which he played the role of Tristan, brother of the Practice owner, Siegfried. All gets a little convoluted really, lol!
February 23, 2021 at 9:20 pm #53854Bonnie in pink, Bonnie in blue … and, she does look intent! Love this one Bonnie, and it put a smile in my day. Go Bonnie Go! 😉
February 23, 2021 at 11:12 pm #53855Bonnie: Never get tired of seeing your pickleball pics. Love what you did with it this time showcasing a number of pictures and a title too.
February 23, 2021 at 11:12 pm #53856Annie: I had forgotten about Georgia being the 5th doctor’s real daughter. Nice reminder.
February 24, 2021 at 4:45 pm #53878I started the day with the best intentions. I was going to work on the TUT/TECH Challenge and I ended up with this instead. I will do the Challenge but not today.
On this I used Carole’s polaroid script for the photos, some thumbtacks that I found on Free Photoshop PSD, I made the frame according to Carole’s instructions put it all together and I have a bulletin board. The font is called Predators and I got it at https://www.creativefabrica.com/product/predators/ Right now it’s free. The photos were taken at a local market.

February 24, 2021 at 6:14 pm #53881Lynda: I like your design; especially the little tractor in the center which gives it a special touch! One typo, I’m afraid, the word “vinegar” is misspelled. All in all, a very pleasing piece of work! [ok, now I’m hungry!] 😉
February 24, 2021 at 7:23 pm #53882Love the produce available at that market Lynda and you have it beautifully displayed on the bulletin board, well done! <3
February 24, 2021 at 7:49 pm #53886Thanks Ann,
I corrected the typo…

February 24, 2021 at 8:24 pm #53887Thanks Annie,
It really is a nice market.

February 25, 2021 at 5:27 am #53890Annie, I’m watching the current version of All Creatures Great and Small on PBS and I’m loving it. I didn’t see the original so I missed Davison. I play some hidden object games and every now and then I run across a scene that has references to Doctor Who. In one game they had a bow tie and a fez. In the latest game I’m playing they had a cyberman. I love when I see these.
Lynda, your layout is so realistic and your pics are wonderful. Were any of the customers or staff giving you strange looks while you were taking them? lol I remember doing the frame and I enjoyed that lesson very much.
February 25, 2021 at 8:53 am #53891Annie, you are knowledgeable on some of the best of British programs. I loved the original series of all creatures great and small. Michele you must be watching the new series on PBS Detroit Channel. As am I. As for Dr Who. It’s one of my all time favorite programs, from when I was a child. The series was and still is filmed in Barry, the sea side town in South Wales. Not 15 miles from where I lived as a child. We would go and watch them filming the darleks. Great memories.
Lots of wonderful diverse, creative pages being posted. Great work everyone, always a pleasure to scroll through the pages.- This reply was modified 3 years, 10 months ago by Sue Thomas.
February 25, 2021 at 10:05 am #53893Annie,
Funny you should say that about the staff or customers. The customers nothing. Probably thought I was taking pictures for the market. I asked management if I could take the photos and then I gave all of the pictures to them in case they wanted to use them for anything. Don’t know if they did.

February 25, 2021 at 11:07 am #53894Sue, I am so jealous. Even though I’ve seen my share of famous people, I would probably die if I saw DW being filmed!
February 25, 2021 at 2:13 pm #53896Had my first visit with great-grandbaby Logan yesterday and the debate was who does he look like. Everyone says his dad, Maverick, whereas I keep saying it’s more like Winston Churchill. ✌ 😉
I decided to do a little design to compare Logan with his dad. I tried to adjust the head shots to be the same size and SCREWED them into the wood. 😉 The font inside the arrows is Aviation Cocktail. I slipped in some shadowy bears. They became significant when one showed up at the gender reveal party! So Maverick is now Bear Daddy!February 25, 2021 at 3:33 pm #53901I finally finished the paper clip challenge. The frame and paperclips are from pixel scrappers and the photos are mine.
February 25, 2021 at 7:57 pm #53920I posted this in the Color Challenge but decided to post it here also. I like to put a good bit of emphasis on the photos and I think these are too small.
February 25, 2021 at 7:58 pm #53922This template was created to yield many photos and fewer/larger photos. I like this one better…
February 25, 2021 at 8:01 pm #53924Warning: Pickleball pages ahead!
I really like this effect with photos within text. This page is not a template.
February 25, 2021 at 8:01 pm #53926I have more pickleball phrases so more pages to come. This one is my last for today.
February 25, 2021 at 8:06 pm #53927Minka, never give up the music, it is great therapy and it has such beautiful memories for you. I had not long started learning the ukulele when my husband passed 5 yrs ago, he was my biggest fan and so encouraging. He would be so proud now to know that I have been out singing with a friend, and not a vocal ever came out my mouth until I was well into my 70’s.
Annie My cousin lives at Bribie Island and she has a kingfisher come to her for breakfast each morning.
February 25, 2021 at 8:25 pm #53929Lynda: What an awesome corkboard layout. And absolutely perfect for the pictures of your local market.
February 25, 2021 at 8:25 pm #53930Sue: Lucky you to have been able to watch the filming of Dr. Who. 🙂
February 25, 2021 at 8:25 pm #53931Ann: Great layout of daddy and son. Hard to tell at this point who he really looks like, but still a very handsome young man. Cool idea to add the shadowy bears and enjoyed reading why you added them.
February 25, 2021 at 8:26 pm #53932Anne: Beautiful photos and and nice layout. You did a wonderful job using the paperclips.
February 25, 2021 at 8:26 pm #53933Bonnie: Both of your layouts are outstanding; but I really like how you opted to use the entire letter for the pictures for the nature pics. Using the large letters to hold the pictures are perfect for your pickleball photos. The colors on both are so dynamic and make the photos shine.
February 25, 2021 at 9:38 pm #53936Everyone is having a ball in February. All the projects displayed are wonderful and show so much imagination (and expertise, I might add)!
I am finally finishing Lab 5, module 10 with experiments 1, 2, & 3: use polka dots, ribbon stitch tube & 3 fonts. The background I created in Love Challenge (polka dots), the Title font is Pristina, the description is Batang Che, the titles beside the graphics are Cursive Serif; the papers behind the graphics are: Cassel blue music sheet & Gina Jones Pretty Bird paper; the daisy element is from Pixel Scrapper Marissa Larin. The graphics: Composing & Arranging are from Readers Digest Christmas Song Book; Playing and Recording are free clip art from Clipart-Library.com; Listening is a picture of my record player. I again used staff, and music notes & symbols picture tubes from Cassel.
February 25, 2021 at 11:21 pm #53938How sweet Shirl … those kingfishers are not silly, they know where to get a handout!
