Oh I do love your black vultures Ann. What an ugly/handsome bird, quite amazing. As I get older I see more beauty than ugly … just goes to prove there can be beauty found in almost anything. Enjoyed perusing Ann and your plaid is lovely and matches perfectly … well done. ;D
February 9, 2021 at 6:23 pm #52763Minka: wonderful overlays and love how you used them.
February 9, 2021 at 6:24 pm #52764Annie: “Love” is a stunning layout. The light pastel background is perfect for the b/w photo.
February 9, 2021 at 6:25 pm #52766Ann: Nice take on the Love Story challenge and great job on the plaid background. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I am sure another vulture would find him most attractive.
February 9, 2021 at 6:29 pm #52768Thanks very much Karon … I really do enjoy playing with masks and there are so many different ways. I especially like using templates and converting them to masks … most likely because I have trillions of templates, LOL! 😉

February 10, 2021 at 2:13 pm #52836Just wanted to share that I just got an email from Marisa Lerin from Pixel Scrappers that they are trying out offering individual kits for sale without a subscription! This is good news for me. Hooray! 🙂
February 10, 2021 at 9:55 pm #52871Thank you Annie. Your comments always make my day. 🙂
February 11, 2021 at 8:52 am #52894I started work on this when the local Music Festival had been cancelled and the farm organising it still built 2 ‘Bears’ out of straw bails. 9but painted tears on the faces). They usually build a full band of Bale Bears each about 16foot high that can be seen when driving past.
I used some of the picture tubes supplied with PSP , Barbecue, Instruments, Musical Notes & Musicalshaft. An overlay from Corel Video Studio and a Callout from preset Shapes added the news flash and comment.
I have tried to make a Gradient changebfrom the Grass to the Paper with the musical shaft but am not happy with the result, and have now spotted a spelling mistake after converting the text to a raster.
February 11, 2021 at 9:31 am #52896Picked up some fun Valentine’s Coloring Pages from the Corel Freebies. It is a bit psychedelic! I don’t believe how fussy I was with this! 😉
February 11, 2021 at 7:24 pm #52956James, this is such a cute page and the bears are craftily crafted, I love it. Shame about the cancellations but as you have said, maybe next year.
February 11, 2021 at 7:26 pm #52958Wow Ann! What gorgeous colouring in my friend. Now that must have taken some patience. Hats off to ya! ;D
February 11, 2021 at 10:27 pm #52974Wow! Beautiful creations, everyone. I need to come here more frequently so maybe I could keep up with my comments. All of you amaze me!
Friends purchased a small camper so they could visit their daughter during Covid. No hotels, no public bathrooms. The Road Trip map I grabbed off the web…not sure where. The word are is from Creative Fabrica and the camper sticker is from Pixel Scrapper.
February 11, 2021 at 10:29 pm #52977Template from Lab 10-12. White circle word art around headshots by Rachel Martin, Edwina Alive Kit. I think I like the “stacked” fonts. They add something unusual.
February 11, 2021 at 10:30 pm #52979I used Carole’s photo scatter kit. Sure makes the process fast.
February 12, 2021 at 2:46 am #52989Loving everyone’s work. Too many wonderful pages to comment on each.
February 12, 2021 at 4:20 am #52993Wanted to share some Skunk Love here; an extra I crafted between lessons on the Love Story Challenge.
“Although New York’s striped skunks retreat to winter dens and remain inactive for extended periods, they do not hibernate. Males are particularly likely to be active aboveground, even during cold weather, especially during the breeding season. So, if you have been seeing more skunks out and about lately, that could be why.”
Info and photo from the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation.
February 12, 2021 at 11:33 am #53010Minka: Wow. Cool overlay page.
February 12, 2021 at 11:33 am #53011Annie T: Your mask and then putting the frame around their faces was amazing.
February 12, 2021 at 11:34 am #53013Ann S: Beautiful layout of the black vulture. Your plaid paper really went well with the colors of the bird. Your psychedelic coloring page is so much fun! And now I learned something new about skunks. I really like this page!
February 12, 2021 at 11:34 am #53014Karon: I like your scalloped paper and the muted beach colors to go with the old photo. I alos liked your Baseball layout and the font with the baseballs on it. Your photos of the Monkey tree are cool with the paper and tree you used.
February 12, 2021 at 11:35 am #53015James: I think your bears with the guitars are cool in your layout. Also hope it is not cancelled next year!
February 12, 2021 at 11:35 am #53016Bonnie: I like how you put a frame around the whole page. And the map over the top. What a great idea. Your best friends layout of bright and beautiful. I like how you put quotes around their photos. Your pickleball layout is so fun with all the action shots.
February 12, 2021 at 2:54 pm #53036Some of you may be surprised how I spend my spare time.
February 12, 2021 at 3:26 pm #53037Bonnie … You are so funny. We can always count on you for a laugh. Love the ACTION shots! :o)
February 12, 2021 at 3:29 pm #53039When I was a kid we were NEVER allowed to say we were bored. If we even dared utter the word, my mother used to say I will FIND YOU SOMETHING TO DO. No doubt about it – whatever she found would positively NOT be fun. I find myself ALMOST … almost uttering that word now — and then kicking myself in the patootie. What the heck have I got to be bored about? Yeah, it’s been a slow year … but it has been for EVERYONE! Nice thing about this section of the forum is whatever you want to practice … go for it! I am one of those ones unless I play with it often, I might lose track of how it was cemented in my head back when. Sort of like High School Algebra. LOL Unless you use it daily in a job or something it seems to fly away somewhere into the Netherlands of your brain. Well, it did for me anyway. So no plans for the weekend here … so I have been playing with a whole bunch of stuff that I don’t normally play with. I used PSP Arithmetic to blend some backgrounds together to make a fill for a frame that was different … I haven’t figured out any other thing to do with that. Made the frame and used guides – and then used one of Carole’s scripts to put some circle words around it, used PSP’s own filters for some of the inside – like glass mosaic … well, to be blunt – I was all over the place using stuff. But I will be truthful … I am at a point where I wish we could be rolling stones again. I yearn for a trip to the unknown. So I guess I will just have to paint one for now. The photo used was by Edgar Chaparro – on Unsplash … who was lucky enough to go there at some point!
February 12, 2021 at 8:02 pm #53069Ha, ha, ha, ROTFL! Love your sense of humour Bonnie … good page my friend, put a smile on my dial. <3
