Roni a heartfelt page you have created here and it shows. Done with care and from the heart, you are off to a great start with digital scrapbooking. ;D
December 8, 2020 at 5:28 am #50229Day 8 of my Advent Calendar / Rock ‘n Roll Christmas, Chuck Berry with Run Rudolph Run for the Song Challenge. The corners are from the Christmas tube, the Chuck Berry art is from the VEVO illustration for the video of the music, the font for the big number 8 is called Square721 and the flare on the upper right is a tube.
PS: Today my new, 16 MB desktop is being delivered and installed. It’s a custom build so doesn’t have a brand name. It will help tremendously with using my PSP 2021 Ultimate as this one keeps choking on boosted CPU for the AI features. It is my Christmas gift from my overly generous daughter in CA. What are kids for, right? LOL
December 8, 2020 at 10:16 am #50237Ann, Annie, Sue, Lynda, Anne, Susan, Bonnie, Roni, and Karon, you all have created spectacular work: layouts, cards, papers, calendar… you name it, it is all here! Great work and definitely a source of inspiration.
December 8, 2020 at 4:07 pm #50245I attended Christmas 5 webinar. These gnomes are fun to create.
December 8, 2020 at 4:13 pm #50247I can see I’m going to have to make a whole family of them. I used one of Carole’s snowman’s beards on this one.
December 8, 2020 at 7:56 pm #50252Thanks Cristina!
Ann day 8 is loads of fun, keep em comin … my entertainment for the day!
Sue your gnomes are too cute my friend, love em. I had registered for the webinar, forgot to set the alarm and was a bit cranky with myself over that. Then when Cassel sent us the correct link it kept crashing on me. Guess I will have to create gnomes for new year!December 8, 2020 at 8:40 pm #50256Thank you Cristina, and Annie, for your kind comments. What a pity Annie, it was a fabulous webinar. It will be posted in the campus in a few days, and then you you’ll be able to go to town, having fun creating them.
I have thoroughly enjoyed creating these. Credit goes to Carole, thank you! Such great fun. I even went to the trouble of Googling male and female Gnome names.
December 9, 2020 at 3:55 am #50258Sue, they are lovely, and you also added feet and named them! : ) I will copy that idea and create one Gnome for my Calendar Cover as I have gnomes photos in 3 different calendar months. Good that I haven’t printed yet.
Annie, I also could not attend the live webinar; lately, I haven’t been able to stay up till 11 PM when it starts here… I watched the replay… there were so many wonderful ideas that I am sure I will use for next year’s Christmas: Place Cards, Calendars, etc. This year the family dinner was canceled, waiting for safer times.
December 9, 2020 at 9:02 am #50260Work in progress. Background, Cairngorms Ski run 2012,
Upside down Xmas tree.
RHS Filey Fishmas Tree. This is built on the Boat Landing just above the beach by the local fishermen and decorations made by the local Primary School. The Fish shapes are cut-out, decorated and plastic laminated to protect them from the weather. The ‘Tree’ a scaffold pyramid is covered with Crab and Lobster pots then these are covered with a fishing net.
Decorated boats in Scarborough Harbour.
December 9, 2020 at 11:01 am #50262Thank you ever so much Cristina. Yes, I recall the gnomes on 3 of the months. You’ll have fun creating the cover. will you use the colours of the gnomes in the months, in the cover? I discovered that the larger the image, the better, it’s easier. You can always scale down.
Beautiful photos James. It will make a nice ecard. Do you know the skiers? May I make a suggestion? Add drop shadows to the photos, and I would use the perspective tool on them, slightly mind, towards the skier in the centre. Give it a try, and see what you think, you are the creator after all.
December 9, 2020 at 1:27 pm #50264Sue, I am not sure which colors I will use, but for sure less Christmasy, as the gnomes’ photos appear in the warmer calendar’s months. At first, I plan to create just one gnome, but who knows, once I start, where it will take me. : )
December 9, 2020 at 5:51 pm #50279Here’s Advent Day 9 (I’m running a little late)
December 9, 2020 at 6:46 pm #50282Hi Everyone,
Our “updated” Christmas Card after Sundays Great Presentation on “PaintShop Christmas 5”.
Thank You,
Be Safe
December 9, 2020 at 8:39 pm #50283LOL! Sue, these are truly adorable. I was able to log on eventually and spent most of yesterday playing … as you do! I love how you googled the names, just perfect. ;D
December 9, 2020 at 9:12 pm #50284One word to describe this James … QUIRKY! I love it my friend, 10 marks for thinking outside the box. ;D
December 9, 2020 at 9:27 pm #50285Beautiful Ann and I love the dimensional number 9, well done. 😉
December 9, 2020 at 9:30 pm #50286Well done Larry. A fun Christmas card for family and friends to enjoy. 😉
December 10, 2020 at 12:39 pm #50294Advent: Day 10 + December Song Challenge: “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” from the film: The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. With colorful insults (“You have termites in your smile, you have all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile”) and the unmistakeable deep tone of voiceover actor Thurl Ravenscroft—who was also the voice of Frosted Flakes’ Tony the Tiger for nearly fifty years—this is a Christmas classic.
December 11, 2020 at 1:09 am #50295Ann, you really have gotten into the advent calendar thing. Your creations are so cute and this one on Mr. Grinch is really fun. Well done Ann … put a smile on my dial. 😉
December 11, 2020 at 1:13 am #50297This is my gnome family … the Toebells. I was inspired by Sue for naming them but I forgot to add their mittens! Ah well, they will just have to suck it up and blow on their fingers. Thanks for takin a peek Scrapbook Campers. ;D
December 11, 2020 at 4:28 am #50298Annie: Thank you for the kind words! Doing an Advent Calendar is certainly keeping me busy since I need one per day up through the 24th.
Your gnome family are beyond cute!! The braids on the girls are adorable. I’m currently working my way through Carole’s video again so to be able to start a “family” of my own. 🙂
December 11, 2020 at 8:13 am #50300I thought I would try to combine something from the basic scrapbook class a couple of weeks ago with last Sunday’s Master Class on Christmas # 5. The 2 small Christmas trees are from last Sunday’s class that I applied to the sunset scene.
December 11, 2020 at 9:14 am #50301Annie, what a cute and fun family! And poor things, no gloves, and the creator says “suck it up and blow your fingers” LOL LOL … Great work, my friend!
December 11, 2020 at 9:30 am #50302Annie, what a fantastic page you created, a beautiful gnome family, you did a cracking job. I don’t think we’ll be seeing the last of the gnomes.
Raymond, I love your page. Very festive. You did an awesome job on the Christmas trees.
December 11, 2020 at 5:24 pm #50306December SONG Challenge – Christmas + Advent: Day 11
I love Angela Lansbury, she’s in her 90s now, and she was terrific on Broadway in Mame, where she sang the song “We Need A Little Christmas” (I added the Santa hat) 😉December 11, 2020 at 10:37 pm #50307Sue, thank you very much. A compliment coming from you is impressive! Everything that I see you post is certainly done by someone who is well versed in Paintshop Pro!
December 11, 2020 at 10:56 pm #50308Thanks Ann, I really appreciate your comments. You know I look back on my work sometimes and I think now why did I do that and that is what happened here. I had created the gnomes, given them names put it all together and posted … then remembered the mama gnome aka Feathers was supposed to have a feather decoration. No mittens and no feathers … my age is showing, lol!
Terrific job on day 11 … and I do love Angela Lansbury … don’t think I missed an episode of Murder, She Wrote! ;DDecember 11, 2020 at 10:59 pm #50309Thanks dear Cristina! And, I named mama gnome Feathers and forgot to put a feather element on her … showin mah age mah friend!
December 11, 2020 at 11:02 pm #50310Job well done Raymond, a splendid page. I was trying to create those trees but the fade rate was not working on my PSP 2021. Drat it, always a glitch to deal with … sometimes I have to have a couple of versions of psp running to achieve my aims. 😉
December 11, 2020 at 11:07 pm #50311Thanks Sue. I think you are right … we’ll be having gnomes for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Love em. ;D
