It is a new month and new projects.
Show off what you are working on in April, be it a scrapbook page, a tutorial, or anything else you want.
We are curious and want to see, learn and get inspired.
These threads are quickly becoming a fantastic source of inspiration, support, and friendship. Keep them coming!
April 2, 2020 at 9:44 am #41054Decided to make a “sign of the times”. Arrow indicating to keep distance, but our fall corn field as a background is kind of tongue-in-cheek since we are already living social distancing 🙂
April 3, 2020 at 12:27 am #41062Very clever, Peggy.
April 3, 2020 at 4:40 am #41064Peggy, your image is a good reminder of the best thing we can do nowadays. Nice job.
April 4, 2020 at 3:14 pm #41103I’ve been going through the Master Class “Picture Tubes in PaintshopPro” I got Cassel’s CustomDirectionalTube”” script…OMG so much fun. All of the classes sure help to pass the time. I got a chuckle out of these. They are tubes , entirely made out of tubes. Miss Emoji only added white dots in her eyes. Miss Piggy , I gave her a chin, mouth and smaller nose. Used tubes that I made for the hair and bows. This was so much fun.
They are in png. format if anyone wants them.
April 4, 2020 at 5:55 pm #41108This is Raggedy Ann… tubes and vectors. Added Raggedy Andy so Ann won’t be lonely 😀
April 4, 2020 at 8:48 pm #41119Love them Lyn , love the miss emoji. x
Need to do something as comp has been playing up, have had the tech guys looking into it, so now hoping better, although not all problems fixed, guess it needs going into the shop, but cant afford to lose it with this situation we are all now. It my only connection to the outside world as I expect it is for some of you. So been giving it a test run and I have been messing around with some masks to see how many I could use on one page and this one has 6 , and some cutie bees I had, as I saw one out the window today, I just had to find a use for them, we also have butterflys, which I thought was to early, but was a pleasure to see. Keep safe and stay well xxxApril 4, 2020 at 8:51 pm #41121Today is Palm Sunday, so mad this tag for today
April 4, 2020 at 10:09 pm #41123making virtual cards, cant get out to post it, wish we had the american system for posting mail.
April 5, 2020 at 1:50 am #41125I have been playing with stained glass window patterns again. It is so relaxing to me. The background is a screen shot of a virtual world I built some time ago.
April 5, 2020 at 8:12 am #41131I have added this twice, as it answers to Caroles magic and well as the movie theme, see movir themes for how I made it. Thank you
Good job Dorothy, I have been looking for the right picture to have go at that. well done
Peggy, like you idea of using the shape from our normal squares, well done
April 5, 2020 at 10:48 am #41137What wonderful creations you’ve all posted.
Lynda, your “tube tubes” really cracked me up. They are awesome!
April 5, 2020 at 12:50 pm #41144Trish,
Your Harry Potter is really great. You are very clever.
Lynda
April 5, 2020 at 12:57 pm #41148I found Cassel’s Quilling Script so I’ve been messing with that.
The pink one is a vector design that I made, the black and white and the blue and yellow are from the graphics that came with the script.
April 5, 2020 at 1:35 pm #41151I used three scripts for this. Quilling, Airbrush and Gradient. Added a blur to the gradient.
April 5, 2020 at 5:47 pm #41153I’m working my way through the Basic Scrap Course 1 and here is my take on module 2. The kit that came with this module had no alpha, so I searched for something else and this is what I found. I don’t want to buy things yet, after all I’m still a rookie.
April 5, 2020 at 7:45 pm #41154Oh Trish! Magnificent! Bravo! You should enter this in the Corel competition. This is the best page I have ever seen. If I could reach you I would rub your head for good luck. Well done, My Friend.
Diana- aka PandorasHatBox missing you all.
April 6, 2020 at 2:18 am #41165Gee, thanks, Lynda. One more script to add to my wish list. LOL. Your quilling projects are very cool.
Looking good, Corrie!
April 6, 2020 at 5:51 am #41166Lynda, Trish, and Dorothy, great to see the lovely, fun, and creative work you all posted! Lots of inspiration.
Hi Corrie, nice job on the Basic Scrap Course! I can still remember the fun I had when I was going through all these tutorials.
I agree that there is no need for you to buy stuff as there are sites/designers that offer them for free. Right here at the Campus, under the tab Resources, Carole posted some suggestions.
April 6, 2020 at 1:51 pm #41174Hello everyone, just wanted to pop in to share this… What goes around, comes around.
Hugs and keep safe,
Diana aka PandorasHatBox
April 7, 2020 at 4:05 pm #41196Always something new to learn or re-learn on the campus. Just went over the “Vectors 2 Further Vectors” again. I expect I will again. These are a few of the things that were produced from this class. I was also able to produce some tubes and shapes. Yay! 🙂
April 7, 2020 at 7:14 pm #41198This is a photo of my friend I decided to work it into a scrap page. I used Gaussian blur on the baubles and did the brush mask effect for one of the photos. I put the sprays together and saved them as tubes. Using the perspective option gave an interesting effect. My friend was amazed she said “How did you do that” I think having such a nice photo made it easy to put some of my favourite colours together.
April 7, 2020 at 8:18 pm #41202The grape hyacinths in my garden looked extra great this year, so took some pictures, and made a couple of elements out of them That was the start of this tag, things dont always go as you imagine and the sweet peas took over, and the whole thing become a project in blending, the hyacinths finally made the grade in the bottom corner, There are 3 background papers on there, but you can still see the the checkered background thru it, any ideas on stopping this.
Very good Lynda, I am a coward at vectors, just get lost with them, love the quilling, the gold one is so pretty, you could hang it on your wall x.
Shirley, I thought that was you,you could be sisters
Corrie, well doen, if only the malls could be that empty when we do get to go shopping, hate crowds.
Lynda, Diana, Christina, thank you for your kind words, they are much appreciated xx.April 7, 2020 at 9:22 pm #41208I just posted and my post disappeared. Here it is again…hope it doesn’t turn up as a double post.
Recently I posted a page of my niece and nephew overlooking the river…I haven’t been there in a very long time so I decided to take a walk…about 1/4 mile from my home. I plan to do more pages on this topic but here are two I have completed.
April 8, 2020 at 8:34 am #41211Lynda, the “Further Vectors,” was a great class, as are all the others Masterclasses. I have to practice vectors more often. Nice job.
Trish, beautiful page. I love the colors and all the techniques you used. Lovely work.
Shirley, the layout is so nice and colorful. I can see why your friend was so happy with it. Good work.
Bonnie, what a lovely and creative layout. I like the photos too. Great job.
April 8, 2020 at 9:30 am #41216Isn’t it great when you learn a few new things? Makes me feel like my day wasn’t altogether wasted sitting around the house. Yeah, there is plenty to do here … but maybe not fun stuff. The vector classes were both fun and packed with tips. The trick is to get them ingrained in the brain for use later. So that’s where I’ve been the last few days … It was great to learn how to save them, store them for reuse, etc. Of course you have to get to the caliber of proficient to even make one suitable enough to want to save it! LOL I played with making a whole bunch of them … and eventually they started coming out better and better just because I learned how to work the “handles” and kind of anticipated the look I wanted and how to achieve it. I won’t bore you any further, but just to say I did have fun playing with what we learned. I filled a couple simple ones and had fun there, too. I am not much of a scrapbook person, but I do like to play with psp. Even made a simple movie one to go along with this months theme. Yes, I know Rio is from another movie, but you know those Disney characters probably all know one another. Haha
April 8, 2020 at 1:45 pm #41219another cake to keep me busy
April 8, 2020 at 1:49 pm #41222when bored, make papers
April 8, 2020 at 3:42 pm #41224Playing with Crop Shapes & Paper Clips. It is not easy yet, but I think I got the concept.
You guys are all sooo goood! I lost track of whose projects to comment on. There are so many of them that look like professional art work! WOW! I have months and months of learning and practice to go, but at least now I have a goal to aim for. Thank you, everyone for the inspiration.
April 9, 2020 at 4:13 am #41244Great stuff, everyone. I really have to make time to watch those Vector classes.
Did this for my gaming group’s daily pic. I never tried creating my own word art before. If you’re interested, these are the fonts I used: Gutenberg, Gulya Script, Brixton TC Outline, Sky High, and Dinomiko.
