I see we are linking our work in from the Gallery. I wonder if there could also be a link back so we could see, for example, Patricia’s credits that are always in the Gallery but not here in the Forum.
Personally, I prefer to post here directly with an image that will enlarge when you click on it. And I put my credits here in the Forum, too.
Here’s the new lesson, Day 7 which I titled Goals. The photos are L-R: Great Grand Sonya with her grandfather, Ernie; Great Grand Logan with his dad, Maverick, and Great Grand Magic with her dad, Will.
I tried to stick with the October Palette colors and use textures to enliven them. I created a gradient using three of the colors for the mat behind the photos instead of glitter.
The flowery decor I created from PSP shapes with Inner Bevel effects. The title font is Belisha, and the journaling is Franklin Gothic Demi. The element on the right is a free Autumn Clipart from Corel
October 16, 2022 at 12:44 pm #84643Cassel, I can see all my photos in the thread…
I edited my post.. I added that the credits are in the gallery, maybe that is why you could not see it?
Since the image is not linked to the gallery, can changing something in the gallery affect the post?
I tried linking my image to the gallery, but then my post went missing… (but that was yesterday-not today)

October 16, 2022 at 12:49 pm #84645Ann, I am not used to putting the credits in the forum, but in the gallery (most sites do it like that).
But if you prefer I can add them in the forum as well. I hope I can copy and paste them..
Added the credits to my images in this thread.

October 16, 2022 at 12:50 pm #84646Patricia, the only thing would be if you replaced the image or something like that, which would change the link. I am really not sure why I can’t see it as it is also missing if I use a different browser.
As for the credits and such, I’ll see if there is a way to connect the image with the post in the gallery. This gallery is new to the site so some things still need to be ironed out. More changes are coming and maybe it will solve that issue.
October 16, 2022 at 1:02 pm #84654Cassel, I did not replace the image, I still can see it, I also tried a different browser, to be sure. I still have to go to Microsoft Edge to copy the image to the thread. Evrything else I do in Google Chrome.
I will try to put the image back in the thread by posting it again…
I just deleted the image in my post and then put a new link in… I hope you can see it now!

October 16, 2022 at 1:13 pm #84658Yes, it shows now. No idea what happened.
October 16, 2022 at 1:18 pm #84659FWIW, I don’t see Patricia’s image in post #84635. It shows a broken image link. But I can see her image in post #84555.
October 16, 2022 at 1:50 pm #84662Rene, I deleted the image in my post and put a new link in. Can you see it now?
October 16, 2022 at 3:34 pm #84670Lesson day 5 – the picture is an old one from my son Timothy. The name of the text font is Da Pandora, The name and date are font DonnysHand. The scrap kit’s name is spring-symphony from bloomin springly.
October 16, 2022 at 4:15 pm #84671Yes, Patricia I can now see your image in post #84635.
October 16, 2022 at 11:13 pm #84699Ann (#84642) you are welcome to put the information in the forum instead of the gallery. People have been using the forum in this way for many years, but at the same time, it can be a bit tedious to browse through the various threads to get inspiration and ideas, which is why the gallery was added. I am looking at ways to make the best of it, for everyone.
Jannette (#84670), it is neat how you put the birds standing on the edge of the piece of paper!
If you didn’t do project #3, you still have a full day to do it tomorrow as #4 will only be posted on Tuesday so take your time, but remember to post!
October 17, 2022 at 12:01 am #84705Project 3 Friendship – I used mostly the kit in the lesson(from Digitalscrapbook.com). I did make a paper; flood filled with color then added a texture effect (the darker solid paper). Fonts from Creative Fabrica (likely) are Hamilyn (title) and Hallow Spire (quote). Photo’s of my cat girls not long after we adopted them. They started out hissing at each other, after two weeks of being kept separate as one was sick. By the second week this is what they were like. I wasnt sure if I would like this color scheme, but it’s growing on me.
I have been posting the credits in both the forum and the gallery. I do admit I liked clicking on a layout and seeing it bigger. I also enjoyed running through the project 3’s the gallery tonight.

October 17, 2022 at 2:13 am #84709Project 3 – Friendship
I used some old low resolution pictures and enlarged them 4 times using a Gigapixel AL program. I found out that I need more experience in coordinating colors for use in scrapbooking. This bootcamp is a great learning experience. I am learning many things.
October 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm #84716Carole, As you suggested I made 2 at the same time. I had more photos to use, not because of difficulties with choices. Such a hall might be called different in English but here it’s called a climbing hall. My daughter with her 2 boys, assists as a securing person for the boys. The scrap kit is called Vintage memories from SD.
October 17, 2022 at 5:45 pm #84719To carry on my daughter theme, we love hats, I used three different pictures of us in hats. I used a combination of mini kits from Pixelscrapper-the background papers, the flowers and one of the other elements. The swirl was created using a brush with a glitter fill. The gold dots were from a free download from DealJumbo which has a lot of free items and fonts. The font is called Protocol FF that was also downloaded from DealJumbo. The stripes were created from a PSP pattern, originally blue, but changed in Hue/Saturation. I put a shadow on my title so that it could be more easily read. Also, instead of placing my photos on top of the glitter paper, I put them behind and cut out where they were situated. I then used bevel on the glitter frame that I had made. The journal letters were a little hard to read on the paper that was chosen, so I added an outer glow using the layer styles. BTW, the drop tool works with layer styles bevel, making it much easier to change colors.
Carole, I have started saving the drop shadow settings for the various items and hope I am getting better.
October 17, 2022 at 10:40 pm #84736Susan (#84705), you are ok to post the credits in both places. In a way, the gallery and the forum threads are two places where people might browse, and for different reasons. I am glad you created all the papers yourself. Good job.
James (#84709), you are doing a great job with your page. I see that you have different size photos and they are still all the same height without any distortion. That is a sign of a good technique.
Jannette (#84716), great double-page you have now.
Donna (#84719), that outer glow is a great effect to make your text easier to read. And yes, saving presets can be a great time-saver.
Project #4 will be emailed tomorrow. Keep an eye on your inbox!

October 18, 2022 at 10:05 am #84745Day 9 – Project Bees: Mine is celebrating my daughter’s 60th birthday. Her cake is rather unique. She is famous for wearing Flip-Flops in all kinds of weather so her cakes celebrates that. (Her sister gave her fur flip-flops for Christmas a year or so ago.) I’m posting from the Gallery.

October 18, 2022 at 11:25 pm #84763Project 4 – Day 9 – Butterfly Heaven
I used some of the supplies in the Jessica Dunn Spring Skies Kit from Pixel Scrappers. Some of which I modified. The Gold Glitter paper also came from Pixel Scrappers and Melo Vrijhof. The angels came from Pixabay and Barely Devi. The small butterflies were from the Paintshop Pro picture tubes collection. My pictures were the best I could find for this project and were probably taken in the 1980s as 35 mm slides. It would probably worked out better with fewer and larger pictures.
October 18, 2022 at 11:41 pm #84764Cindy (#84739), you are doing better and better. Your shadows are good. I think you still are distorting the pictures to fit them of the same height. Don’t worry if they are different widths when you adjust the height… always from a corner node.
Ann (#84745), that is the first time I see a cake in the shape of flip-flops!! That is really cool.
James (#84763), how many photos you use is really up to you. Sometimes, you have more, sometimes you have fewer.
Have we lost a few of our early posters? Are you stuck somewhere? Don’t hesitate to ask for help. Also, remember that posting 4 out of 5 projects makes you eligible for the random draw!
October 19, 2022 at 6:14 pm #84789My 7 year old grandson, Thomas, loves to draw digitally, so I purchased “Procreate” for my iPad. There is a special folder where I download his pictures and print them for him. (He actually knows more than I do on manipulation.) For this project I used various papers from the kits and papers that I have downloaded (I can never remember which is which.) The spray paint graphic is from “The Good Life Kit”. The easel is from deeezy.com and the pencils from a sv learning elements kit. The font is JellyBelly-a free font from deeezey.com. The fourth picture is Thomas’ original art. The Procreate logo was a free download.
I have done “Busy Bees” in a prior bootcamp, so I wanted to change it up.

October 19, 2022 at 10:42 pm #84798Hi Ty for the kit its so pretty https://www.curiopantry.com/2021/03/01/ps-march-bt-spring-skies/

October 20, 2022 at 10:06 am #84801Here is the lesson Busy Bees. but unfortunately, I could not make the zigzag edge. There is something wrong with my settings. It consumes all my PSP time to figure out what’s wrong. I have to go further otherwise I miss too many other lessons.
Here is my granddaughter’s first dentist visit. Just to get used to it, not she needed any treatment.
October 20, 2022 at 11:41 am #84802Project 4 – Busy Bees.
the photo’s are mine from a spent Clematis flower that grows in-between the boards of the fence on my yard and my neighbours yard. Neither of us know where if came from. It has really pretty flowers and tries to take over my neighbours lilac. the little birds like it and the flowers are pretty but we do have to keep under control. It’s a zombie plant; un-killable, it will probably outlive the apocalypse.
All the papers from Digitalscrapbook.com. Dandelion seeds from Creative Fabrica. Fonts as well: Adam Melda (days of the week), Maheer Bright (Fabulous), The Hunter (Frazzled) and Arial (windows -To)
I built the page mirrored from the sample because the flowers look like they are looking inward instead of outward. I like the eraser tool exercise.

October 20, 2022 at 12:07 pm #84804Susan, beautiful color combo! The photos are wonderfully dramatic, though they remind me of dandelion fluff. I agree with you that interesting things can happen using the eraser!
October 20, 2022 at 1:50 pm #84807Thank you, Ann. Your color combos are always spot on, so this makes me very happy to hear. They seem to be my go-to colors; Cyan-Blue and it’s Yellow-Red compliment, and also Analogous Complimentary and Split Complementary schemes. Okay, I just love all color, all schemes and all color flows. Yes, they are just like dandelion fluff but much hardier. I can move them around without them falling apart. Recently, I was out in an industrial area one night to shoot the moon and there were ginormous ones like dandelions, that come from the really big prickly weeds. It was a comical sight; me and hubby trying to manage my camera, tripod, camera bag and two of these big fluff balls, traversing over a dark field full of ground hog holes and into the car. One got home safe the second one suffered some injury. They are so big I’m not sure I can shoot with enough depth of field to get it all in focus.
