Jean I love the bear pages but can’t read the text. If you upload page 2 first and then add page one it will post them in order.
Day 5. I use the template I made from no kit 3 master class, a great deal, it’s a wonderful way of showcasing anything. With so many variations. Here I used some photos of roses which I took the other day.
Day 5 my gardens grew and new beds were added. This project is a great trip down memory lane. Thank you.
Thank you Lynda, I live in Springfield and have over the years lived at various spots along there. I have so many pics of it, but most were never the right shape for the boxs and had to find some stock ones. Its the longest part of any project, finding the right shot. Would be lovely to see everyones work all put together at the end, there are ss many beautiful magazines.

Day 4 and still trying to figure out what I’m doing. Has anyone else had problems trying to find the ‘lock’? have no idea where mine went.. it isn’t located under View-Custom-Commands 😮
Way to hot here in Illinois to play ball, but the kids don’t seem to mind.
Day 5.
Patti – The little lock icon is at the top of the Layers Palette. Carole pointed it out in one of the tutorials I watched. I didn’t even know it was there before she demonstrated the cleverness of locking the transparency.
Here’s my Day 5 project. I’m getting much more comfortable with working with templates. They are a really wonderful starting point.
I divided the original mask into space for three photos, just for a challenge. I really need to practice creating masks, so this was a great exercise for me.

Lynda DiGregor, thanks, I’m glad you liked my photos. We were fairly close to the bears, but they were in an enclosed area on Grouse Mountain, I just tried to make sure I didn’t get the fence in the pics. I also have a pretty good zoom on my DSLR.
Wanda, if you click on the image it opens up so you can read it. I tried 3 times to upload the individual files and each time it looked right until it posted, then the gremlins swapped them around. I’ll try what you said if we have another 2 page spread, thanks.

I did click on it but Many I’m sure use a cell phone to view and it is not large enough to see the text. Sorry I should have said on my cell. I can read the single ones with no problem. I had the same problem so deleted and switch to 2 before 1 and it works great but leaves space between the 2.

Day 6. I thoroughly enjoyed today’s challenge, mainly because I did learn something new. Thank you Carole!
Day 6 project complete. This one was a little tricky but was a good learning experience. This project has given me a reason to go back through a lot of my older digital photo files. I thank you for that it has been fun. I am enjoying seeing everyone else’s projects. There are a lot of talented people on this site.

Day 6.
Before posting page 6, i relised I forgot something in had gone from jpeg to png the reduce to 600, so at that point i expected it ti be flat even though saved as visible. so as I tried to add the churns, expecting them to go on top of wwhat I thought was one layer it slid under. on checking I could still see all the layers. Has anyone else had this happen.
Okay, today’s lesson started out as pure frustration. The flood fill step just wasn’t working! After trying it three times, I looked to see what other settings might be interfering with my efforts, and I discovered that I had my blend mode set to “darken,” which the white wouldn’t do, of course. When I changed it to “normal,” all worked as expected – hooray! Then I had to play around with the size and placement of the photos so the actual arches weren’t ‘interrupted’, but at least I knew that my skills were up to that challenge.
I am learning so much! Thank you all for sharing your talents.
This was a great exercise to learn how to combine masks. I followed through but didn’t have a photo that I could use, so started again and just combined the bottom two masks. Then I felt I didn’t have enough images to tell the story so took the liberty of adding another small one.
One day left of the challenge, like all good things, it has to come to an end. I’ve enjoyed taking part, and thoroughly enjoyed looking at eveyones projects. We’ll done all. As always I have learnt something new. Thank you Carole.
This definitely has been a most helpful challenge for me! I learned so much about working with templates and photos. I just wanted to add my Thank You to Carole as well!
