How about a challenge that is just different?
Once in a while, I will present you with a challenge to do something that might not be repeated in other months. Just an idea that popped like that (and you can also send me suggestions for occasional random challenges too).
This week, let’s challenge our way of using photos on a project. Can you use the SAME photo, TWICE on the same page. Hum… how can you do that? Will you dare trying? Let’s see how creative you can be with this concept!
November 22, 2020 at 4:42 pm #49635November random challenge. Can you use the SAME photo, TWICE on the same page. Yes, I hope this counts. I duplicated the photo, and mirrored it. The frame is a font, which I coloured, textured, inner bevel and drop shadow. Carole’s snow corner punch, the other corner element is a brush duplicated, sculptured. The lace is Carole’s freebie. which I wrapped around the frames, I used the push tool on the edges, I removed the drop shadow from within the lace to give a little depth. Text on a reverse path. I have three snowshoe hares, I see the evidence of their presence more than I actually see them, droppings, foot prints, and where they have scratched the snow to get to the grass, as the snow gets deeper they can reach the new shoots of shrubs and trees, which they enjoy. I can quite easily change this into a Xmas card should I choose too.
November 22, 2020 at 7:47 pm #49655I used a shot I took while visiting the Gray Animal Farm with Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. A wonderful day and we saw all kinds of animals indigenous to Maine – coyotes, bears, moose, fish, and loads of others including birds, etc. My personal favorite was the Turtle Exhibit. They were just humorous — all clamoring to get in a line. Pushing and shoving each other just like kids. The kids loved it. I used the same photo … but used the AI feature in PSP 2021 to make the turtles bigger and clearer.
November 23, 2020 at 1:32 am #49677The pond was so clear that the reflection was almost perfectly clear.
November 23, 2020 at 11:11 am #49687Minka and Anne, beautiful pages you both have created. We’ll done. Mine is in keeping with the Xmas ecard in mind, as I have quite a few to create.
November 24, 2020 at 1:09 am #49730It was not easy doing the dogs head reaction the day John came home and announced he had quit. It would have been ten times harder to draw my reaction!!
November 25, 2020 at 12:48 pm #49761Thank You. I would be proud to receive a Christmas card as nice as the one you created.
November 25, 2020 at 12:58 pm #49763Goodness, the Campus pages are slow to load! Here’s my offering, though it’s triples, not doubles. The idea was inspired by Sue Thomas but the photo is mine of our neighorhood brat! (He broke one of my bird feeders) Sue wanted to add snow but I’m afraid I’ll jinx us and get it for real! lol
I got even with him and transformed him into Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer (though he’s a white-tail deer).
November 25, 2020 at 5:30 pm #49775I found three–all of my grandson which is interesting since I actually photograph his sister more since he doesn’t like having his picture taken. In this one, the background and the middle picture are the same.
November 25, 2020 at 5:32 pm #49777In this one I used the same picture of him spinning to give the page a little depth
November 25, 2020 at 5:34 pm #49779I was playing with a 5-part frame I found online
November 25, 2020 at 5:44 pm #49783Barbara: I’m very impressed with your creativity with those photos. I especially like the effect of the 3 showing the spinning! Your colors are subtle but very effective. Well done!
November 26, 2020 at 6:52 pm #49824I was already trying to make a christmas card “stealing” the idea of Sue Thomas with a triple. It’s only now that I have the time to finish it. For those who know: my husband is home at last after 13 days in hospital but it will take him a while to recover. As I don’t have to go to that hospital every day any more, I will get a little more time to scrap. Because of the Covid-19 he could have only 1 visitor per day and preferably the same person! The photo is one I got from a friend to use. The corner elements are dingbats, after that masterclass this is the first time I used them.
December 5, 2020 at 7:03 am #50103Just experimenting with cutting out, Picture Tube, Particle Shop and other ideas.
The tractor was taking part in a Country Show ‘Tractor Pull’ where it tries to pull a sled with increasing resistance allong a course.
