I just can’t seem to be able to reposition a selection after I draw it. For example, I draw a rectangle or elliptical selection only to find that it’s in the wrong place and I need to move it. I thought that holding the control key allowed you to move the selection but that is not working for me. Do I have to change tools to move the selection? Is there a basic tutorial on operating the selection tool?
To move a selection, you just need to right-click inside and you will be able to “grab” it and drag it where you want.

Who would have thought it was that simple? Thank you for telling me about it! I did stumble upon something useful while I was trying to draw and move selections. I drew an ellipse and holding the ctrl key, I drew another ellipse by accident. It intersected the first ellipse and altered the original selection. I didn’t know you alter a selection like that. I thought it had to be a genuine path before you could intersect. I’ll have to play around some more with that.
