July 9, 2018 at 4:26 pm #20091I have only been to a beach one time in my 74 years of life and that was in 2003. I had a Hilarious experience one day. My friend walked me out into the ocean water to ride the waves back onto the beach ( and of course I was scared to death because I could not even swim LOL. Well she left me and caught the waves rolling while I was drowning in the waves. I finally got her attention enough that she realized I was in trouble and came to help me!!! Something I will never forget and laugh about to this very day!
July 9, 2018 at 6:16 pm #20093LOL! You make me laugh Pat. Love this simple page, the caption and especially the sandy frame, well done. <3
July 9, 2018 at 10:52 pm #20096Hello Patricia, a great memory page… it is great we can look back on some of our experiences and have a laugh about them even if not so funny at the time….

July 10, 2018 at 6:17 am #20098Patricia, having grown up on the ocean and not being much of a swimmer, I can only imagine how frightening it must have been for you. I’m glad you can find the humor in it now. I have to admit I was cracking up when I looked at your page. Those are wonderful pics.

July 10, 2018 at 8:46 am #20100Hi SC Friends. This is another for the beach challenge. Only snagged the photo for this one. Browsed layouts for a single photo and viewed heaps and this one appealed to me most with a few minor changes. Thanks for takin a peek. <3
July 11, 2018 at 4:55 am #20125It’s wonderful how you used different beach-themed patterns behind the main picture. How did you get that effect on the text? Is it some kind of picture tube writing? It’s gives the page a very interesting look.
~ Michele
July 11, 2018 at 7:20 am #20127Thanks Michele! The text was Cassel’s string tube and I put an inner bevel on it. I was quite amazed at how it turned out!
July 11, 2018 at 7:22 am #20129Never followed anything in particular for this one. I used Cassel’s lined text for the title. Thanks for takin a peek! <3
July 11, 2018 at 10:28 am #20133Patricia, the sea was not that calm with so many waves close to one another… difficult to get up once one falls! But good that in the end, everybody can laugh until today. Love the page and the caption.
Annie, really great pages… I love the colors in both layouts.
July 12, 2018 at 4:23 am #20135Thanks Cristina, much appreciated my friend.
July 12, 2018 at 6:23 am #20139Annie, I just love those beautifully rich colors.
July 12, 2018 at 6:12 pm #20143Thank you, Michele. Being a true Gemini one day I’m pastel and the next I’m full blast, 🙂
July 15, 2018 at 10:32 pm #20189Hello. I came across a layout whilst surfing the web and simply had to copy it. Thanks for takin a peek.
July 16, 2018 at 2:14 am #20192That’s a lovely layout, Annie, and the picture is beautiful.
July 16, 2018 at 12:31 pm #20204Annie, simple and lovely layout… I like to see how you place the elements… very creative.
July 16, 2018 at 8:27 pm #20214Thanks Michele, so glad you liked it my friend. I loved the photo and it could have come right out of my childhood. We always had holidays with my mum’s folk at a beach called Urangan when I was a child and this beach photo was almost identical to what it looked like from the front veranda of the holiday cabin! All gone now, high rise plush units have taken the place of the little holiday cabins … money paves the way!
July 16, 2018 at 8:29 pm #20215Thanks Cristina. As I said it was a borrowed idea but, like yourself, I loved it for the simplicity! <3
July 17, 2018 at 12:45 am #20220G’day Annie, another lovely layout ! Urangan is a nice spot my hubby and I were able to go there back in the 80’s. we enjoyed our visit there with some of our relatives.
Dawn.
July 19, 2018 at 8:24 am #20236So lovely to hear you have visited there Dawn. We probably visited at the better times because it is very commercialised now. And with the tours constantly going out to Fraser Island it is a real hive of activity. Thanks for you comment my friend. <3
July 19, 2018 at 8:28 am #20238I just posted this one in the July word challenge and as it also fitted the July theme challenge … well, why not! 🙂 Thanks for takin a peek.
July 21, 2018 at 6:01 am #20251Hi Scrapbook Campus. I used Cassel’s Inspiration Template Z for this one. The photos are some more of Fraser Island. The element was a freebie off the web and the plaid paper was a freebie from Pixel Scrapper. Thanks for takin a peek.
July 21, 2018 at 6:13 am #20252It makes me think of Matlock Island from the Thorn Birds (even though it was filmed in Hawaii.)
~ Michele
July 22, 2018 at 5:39 am #20262It must be a beautiful island and it is good that is kept this way. Nice layout!
July 23, 2018 at 3:52 am #20284Annie, it really is a beautiful place and the photos you chose make it look very inviting.
Dawn.
July 23, 2018 at 6:53 pm #20296Michele, Cristina and Dawn, thank you so much for your lovely comments on my page, much appreciated my friends. <3
July 27, 2018 at 9:52 am #20374Hello Scrapbook Campus. For this one I used Cassel’s Cluster Template Maker script. It provided a very simple template (my favourite) and I went with the beach theme. I have always wanted to visit Greece and this looked like an ideal location … just a dream, jus sayin! Thanks for takin a peek! <3
July 27, 2018 at 2:13 pm #20381Hi, Annie, very nice layout! I like the multicolored dots paper and the texture of the green one. The cluster is also very nice… cluster is something that I should try to use more… not very comfortable doing it.
Nice villa, when can I come by? LOL 😀
