Suzy, I certainly do remember making a 1/4 fold card. That’s what that card would be called if it was a newspaper. I work at a web press and we do 1/2 fold and 1/4 fold newspapers for3 provinces.
November 12, 2022 at 12:05 pm #86262This workshop sounds great! I have always loved sending Christmas cards and still do, but I miss receiving them to include them in decorating my home…. Thankfully I have saved many of my favorite cards that I received & sent and now use them to decorate with!
November 13, 2022 at 7:12 am #86317Nancy, I used to use the front flap of a card to decorate my presents.
November 13, 2022 at 6:29 pm #86371I just registered. I use to make rubber stamp cards, which I loved, but since our remodel and all my things are packed away I thought this might be a really good alternative for me. I hope I make it to the end of the classes. I displaced my hip so I’m not very mobile and not sure what the doctors will need to do to get me walking normal again. But I’m excited for the class!
November 13, 2022 at 7:57 pm #86374Looking forward to this, as a cardmaker it will be fun to try a few with psp instead of card and ink.
November 13, 2022 at 9:01 pm #86386I used to make cards…..then things got in the way. I HAVE made our annual Christmas card for most of the past 40 years. Way back in the beginning, sometimes it was silkscreened, or hand-cut, or printed at a printshop.
But then we got a computer! And then a color printer! But some years it seems I spend more time fighting with the printer to print the 45 or so copies I need to mail, and I end up just being happy it is done 🙂
November 13, 2022 at 9:49 pm #86398Yes Me too
And Suzy
I remeber well. Printing a card on 1 sheet and folding it in quarters 🙂
Left upper part Tekst or picture upside down.
And right lower part The text.
On a dot matrix printer.
AND there are still people who do it that way

And that program still available on the internet archive

November 14, 2022 at 2:05 am #86407Hi all,
I have always used rubber stamps with special Ink & then hand painted them. Now with the computer up and the printer too I thought I just might give this a try this year.

November 14, 2022 at 4:37 pm #86455Here is Card 1 – Thinking of You – Photo by Debbie Lennox – Brad from DS-Marisa Lerin: Coastal Special – I did all the shadows with the light coming from the top right.
November 14, 2022 at 4:40 pm #86456Linda, let me send you my copy.
November 14, 2022 at 5:00 pm #86458Here is my take. It isn’t Christmas, but I need various Anniversary cards. All is my own except the circle which I got from PS – Marisa Lerin and which I modified all but the wording in the circle; I used Filter Forge for the gold rings.
November 14, 2022 at 5:04 pm #86459Thank you! But I have a meeting to go to soon.
I will register again.
November 14, 2022 at 5:39 pm #86462I took the card template and added a notice for a Craft show I’m in this weekend. I plan to print a 3X4 copy for the back of my nametag. Thanks
November 14, 2022 at 5:40 pm #86463November 14, 2022 at 5:58 pm #86465I kept it simple. The holly is from Digital Scrapbook (PixelScrapper). The word art and font are from Creative Fabrica. The ribbon was an exercise to remind me that I can follow directions … at least some of the time.
November 14, 2022 at 6:56 pm #86467Most of the elements on the card are my own. I made the pointsetta and ornaments last year for various Christmas cards.
The gold paper a part of some foil gradient papers that I downloaded and changed the color to gold. The balls spelling
“Merry” were actually made in PS several years ago, but I find the I am using them quite a bit for Christmas cards. The ribbon was also made several years ago.November 14, 2022 at 7:09 pm #86469I need a lot of Christmas cards, so this is the first one. I kept it simple but because my photo had the tree on the left side I mirrored the scallopped mat to the right. I put an old streetlight instead of a ribbon and gave it some glow. The embellishment comes from the blogtrain kit of last year by DB Magnolia. Last year it came to late, so now is the opportunity to use some of it. The font is Christmas Crafter by Creative Fabric.
November 14, 2022 at 7:57 pm #86471there has been lovely cards made for day one so far… enjoyed viewing them.
I will be making cards for various occasions .. Day one is a Birthday card.
happy card making to everyone.
Dawn.
