Did you know that Sherwin-Williams promote a new color every month? Of course, they are in the paint business, so it makes sense, but at the same time, it can be a great resource for colors and color palettes, so I thought that we can use some of their suggestions to use in our projects.
This month’s color is called Rose Fusion (even though it seems to be more orange than rose in my opinion).
The exact Hex code is on the preview above.
You can use this color as simply as for a solid background paper, or a title, but you can also use that as a starting point to create your own palette with matching or contrasting colors and build a whole project around that color/color palette.
What will you do?
February 16, 2020 at 6:27 am #38929Carole was that code their’s or one you are giving us , I ask as I finally manged to get into sherwin usa last night as I thought that was there code and wanted to see the actual colour. and it came up with 2020 colour trends, you say you didnt think that it looked like a rose fusion, I agree, It couldnt be more orange. Well I must of been more tired than I thought when the penny dropped and I realised the paint brush colour was you telling us what colour it was. Anyway from the 2020 trends I got this, which looks like a rose fusion.
de5111 and c7a290 or simular c5ao8e
which one do you suggest we use please, as I dont know if I was looking at the right thing as it didnt mention about promoted colour. thank you.I never used colour codes before, is there a book or anything on codes, thank you xx
February 16, 2020 at 9:22 am #38931Trish, the hex code is on the image above, which is #de5111. You can put that code at the bottom of the Materials Properties dialog window when you click on one swatch in PSP. You should see a code and a # in front. That is where you add it.

February 17, 2020 at 8:11 am #38995Hi Scrapbook Campus. Here is one for the colour challenge – rose fusion … such a bright and happy colour. I found this photo on Unsplash by David Cohen and I knew immediately that I had to use it for this challenge. The stitched papers and the flourish are from Pixel Scrappers. The flower element I created from a script by Digiscrapations and the title was again created using the plugin textArt. Thanks for takin a peek!
February 17, 2020 at 7:15 pm #39031Annie love your design, reminds me of a jester, nicely done xx

February 18, 2020 at 7:44 pm #39098Trish: Wow You just blew my mind with the gals in the chorus. All I could see in my minds eye was a giant rooster trying to tell them how to do a high note. lol Thanks for giving me a bit of humor today!!
February 18, 2020 at 7:49 pm #39102After 8 years of studying the piano, this was the night of my final recital. It seems I suddenly discovered boys and put my foot down about practice, practice every day much to my Mom’s chagrin.
This color I really like too.
February 19, 2020 at 1:29 am #39117Oh Trish I just love your Chorus Line, definitely put a smile in my day. Thanks for your compliments Hon, always appreciated.
Dorothy thank you for your lovely comments on my work, much appreciated Hon. I do love your Music Piano Recital page, it showcases your photo to perfection. Hugs……Annie.February 19, 2020 at 11:34 am #39141I made a couple of pages from Rose Fusion and the fireworks picture tube. I changed layer positions and layer transparency to get these two slightly different papers.
I also found a pdf of Sherwin Williams hex codes and made a color pallet. There are 32 pages so I probably won’t be finishing with that any time soon. 🙂
February 19, 2020 at 5:01 pm #39168This was a fun one to play with. I think that “rose” must have fused with a persimmon!
February 19, 2020 at 6:53 pm #39181Terrific papers Lynda, well done my friend. <3
February 19, 2020 at 7:16 pm #39184Minka, lovely page my friend. You put a smile in my day with your comment “rose must have fused with a persimmon” LOL!
February 19, 2020 at 8:09 pm #39192Thanks Annie, you are always so kind and talented too. 🙂
February 20, 2020 at 3:01 am #39225My try at this.I have enjoyed Your Works. I have not been active here, and my creativity is low . The window is from SC, the bird from Marisal, the Chair from pngimg, the doll I do not know and the rest is mine. And I am open for critics.
February 20, 2020 at 5:00 am #39230Britt, this page came together very well. I love how the cat is peeking around the chair … got his eye on something I think, 😉 Nicely done my friend.
February 20, 2020 at 5:39 am #39234This is another for the rose fusion colour challenge. This bouquet was a freebie on the web and the colour was just perfect. The layout is by Marisa Lerin from Pixel Scrappers. The papers are mine as are the brad and the lace. Thanks for takin a peek!
February 20, 2020 at 6:30 pm #39278I think I have done the obvious for this challenge, but I love this picture of our relatives.
February 20, 2020 at 6:37 pm #39280Hmm, I find this colour very vibrant and sure that if it were a real rose of this colour I would love it but not something I would automatically choose to use for a layout. So, I played around with it. I filled a blank canvass with the colour and used a brush with black to make a doodle. I then used -Effects-Reflection Effects-Kaleidoscope and got a pattern that would be seamless so added this to make a patterned background. Still did not grab me and thought what can I do with it and came up with this frame, working back to front as I had not decided on an photo at this point and would normally built one from image out. I used a corner tube and a pearl to accent. Overall, considering I was not in love with the original colour, I am really pleased at the outcome. TFL
Sheila.
February 20, 2020 at 9:24 pm #39295Very cute Dorothy, definitely appropriate use of the colour!
February 20, 2020 at 9:33 pm #39297I love the frame Sheila, it is quite beautiful, well done. Rose fusion is an unusual colour. There are roses of that colour but instead of them being called rose fusion they are called burnt orange. I browsed the internet until I found an appropriate freebie but I did end up having to search for burnt orange. Your frame really does showcase the photo beautifully and that is what the challenge is all about. You have shown great initiative. 🙂
February 21, 2020 at 6:27 am #39316Hello Campus Campers. This is another for the color challenge. Photo is a freebie from the web and again colour perfect for this challenge. Font used is Ye Olde Oak. Thanks for takin a peek!
February 21, 2020 at 11:09 am #39334I made this one for my group on shove tuesday, so another for the colours.
If Carole is looking or anyone else, can you see where I went wrong, I was working away and got the drop shadow, only to find ALL THE PIECES HAD SOMEHOW MERGED INTO ONE.
i DID HAVE PROBLEMS WITH psp AGAIN TODAY, IT KEPT FREEZING, AND MOVING ELEMENTS i HAD SET IN PLACE TO DIFFERENT LAYERS. tHEN IT WULDNT LET MY MOUSE BACK ON TO WORK, IT HAS BEEN A DISASTERIOUS MORNING .
SO HERE WE HAVEE IT A ALMOST FINISH TAGFebruary 21, 2020 at 12:08 pm #39340Thank you Ann. Love the Roses and their colour you used on a very nice layout. I really like the artsy look layouts.
Sheila xx
February 21, 2020 at 1:17 pm #39348February 21, 2020 at 7:34 pm #39359Colour challenge. When I put the colour code in and flood filled a page, the Robin popped into my mind. Even though they are referred to Robin red breast, their breast is in fact orange. So here’s my page. I kept to the Love Story Challenge theme. I also used the superscript tool.
February 21, 2020 at 8:05 pm #39365Thanks Sheila, much appreciated. <3
