April 6, 2019 at 6:10 pm #27525Sounds like a fun challenge, I’m registered.
April 7, 2019 at 4:55 am #27528I am registered too. Let’s have fun and learn at the same time.
April 8, 2019 at 4:38 pm #27582I’m looking forward to learning more about using PSP to create. I have used it to edit my photos for years, and now I’m beginning to create scrapbook pages. Every tip I pick up expands my repertoire.
April 8, 2019 at 4:55 pm #27583I hope you all pick up a few tricks, at the very least!
April 10, 2019 at 3:27 am #27601So excited for my first challenge!! I think I can beat you all 😉
Can’t wait for the 14th.

April 13, 2019 at 6:25 pm #27659Looking forward to this new challenge. I always learn some new skills and thoroughly enjoy the experience.
April 13, 2019 at 10:03 pm #27688I’m registered and really looking forward to it. Sounds like I am going to learn a lot and have fun. Thanks, Cassel.
April 14, 2019 at 12:43 pm #27702Here is my first tile – I have not chosen a picture yet so may change the colors as I go along. It is not perfect, as you can see lol but this was fun!
April 14, 2019 at 1:23 pm #27703Sharon, I find it quite interesting. I never thought of using a different line style and I think the result is great! And that design is totally unique. I have never seen anything like that!
April 14, 2019 at 1:49 pm #27706I went all swirly with this one – hope it is OK but tried and tried and hopeless with pen and nodes with 74 yo fingers so tries preset shape of arrow and went from them to distort etc. With pattern went to 25 scale. If not allowed to do that sorry please advise. Marie
April 14, 2019 at 1:55 pm #27707Marie, that is interesting too. For the drawings with the pen tool, I am not actually drawing with it, but make straight lines and then play with the nodes. Otherwise, I would not be able to match the edges to make the tile seamless. Try with drawing straight lines instead of freehands and then, add nodes and play with them.
April 14, 2019 at 2:15 pm #27709I plan to do a page with a vacation photo at the beach so it was fun to try to come up with a design that kind of looks like swimming fish.
April 14, 2019 at 2:17 pm #27710Dee, it does look like fishes!
April 14, 2019 at 2:51 pm #27711Thank you Cassel.
Wow, am loving all the different designs! The possibilities really are endless!
April 14, 2019 at 2:58 pm #27712Sharon, sometimes, the end results are as unexpected to the creator! And you are sure to NEVER find the exact same pattern anywhere!
April 14, 2019 at 5:12 pm #27714Here is my paper pattern. Interesting technique to make a pattern and easy too. Used Cassels lifted photo script. Image of one of the carnation plants we bought last year. Shame you can’t smell its perfume. TFL.

April 14, 2019 at 5:47 pm #27715Hi everyone,
I have seen some beautiful papers so far. Great jobs! Here is mine. I can’t draw worth beans and nodes are like little alien creatures, so I used my brush with a mandala style. My pics are of little girls, so I think this will work.
April 14, 2019 at 6:40 pm #27720This is fun! I’m not very good at drawing with a mouse, but I did manage to create a simple pattern. The photo I had picked out to use doesn’t really go with my background pattern. I’ll have to choose another I guess. Everyone’s looks wonderful!!!
April 14, 2019 at 6:44 pm #27723Thanks for the feedback Cassel – have had another try at drawing lines with a big grid at the back to guide me. Am happy with that but not so much with the finished product but all the others were even worse. Think psychedelically wallpapers. Thanks Marie
April 14, 2019 at 6:53 pm #27724Marie, make sure that you are using guides and they help you align the top and bottom lines. That way, it would make the tile seamless.
Sharon and Marie, did you try to reduce the scale of the tile? Sometimes, it can yield a very different result when you have it smaller.
April 14, 2019 at 7:49 pm #27725Carol, I did reduce the size some. I don’t think it was near enough though. I’m going to watch the tutorial again and have another go at drawing. My eyes aren’t what they used to be and I can see the large ones better LOL! Thank you for the help. I’m learning so much!
April 14, 2019 at 8:13 pm #27727Sharon, reducing the scale is not necessarily to see it better but sometimes, it makes the overall look more subtle, which might or might not be what you want, but it definitely gives something different.
April 14, 2019 at 8:51 pm #27729Thanks Carol for doing these challenges, I learn so much and they’re fun. I love Maria’s Abstract. Just shows you the ideas are endless. Looking forward to tomorrow’s challenge. Cheers
April 14, 2019 at 10:09 pm #27766I think I’ve got the hang of it now! I’m looking forward to learning more tomorrow.
April 15, 2019 at 5:52 am #27781Hi Everyone. This is my tile, paper and photos I shall be using so far. This has been fun and I am really enjoying all the different creations. Well done Scrappers!
April 15, 2019 at 8:50 am #27782Wow, ladies. You all have such creative patterns. I’m going to try one now.
