These decorative elements for website images feature the ‘Curled Ribbon’ script.  The straight versions for the attached curled ribbons are from Ribbon Factory A, B and then two from C.

Rather than use the Factory script, the horizontal image uses a flat long strip with the letters DNA repeated.  This was run through ‘Curled Ribbon’ at its widest settings.  One curled ribbon was made in green/white and a second created in gold/green.  The first was pasted on top of the second and layers moved up to weave them together into a double helix.

The last two examples are for website button decorative label (still on the DNA theme).  When the mouse hovers over the green spiral it changes to the more gold one and looks pressed in before clicked.  This also uses the ‘Acrylic Style A’ script.

Actually a nice script to watch working.

Mary, your ribbon will have many layers, if you want to use it as it is, simply  go to edit, copy special, copy merged.  Paste.  Should you want to add anything to the  curled ribbon, you can do that more easily on it’s own layout, as you have each segment on their own layer.   If my memory serves me well, you are given the option  to group, if you choose that option, all you  have do is copy and paste.   Which means the curled ribbon will be pasted into your layout,  with  all the segments on their own layer, within a group, to allow you to edit it.  I hope this helps.

Thank you, Sue. I have to agree – you are a great asset to this forum. I will try that and see what I can do.
