First of all, come and say HI once you register for this bootcamp.
We want to know who else will be there, on our side to cheer everyone up.
Everyone started as a beginner, so don’t ever compare yourself to others. You will learn one tool at the time, one concept at the time and you will create one project at the time. Everyone will have different photos and possibly different supplies so every project will be different.
Once the Bootcamp is started, on May 10th, 2021, you can post your projects in here.
Remember to resize your images to about 600 pixels AND saving in jpg format, before uploading it so it won’t slow down the site when we have lots of your masterpieces. Try to follow the tutorials at least enough that we can recognize what lesson you completed.
Now, let’s get ready !
If you missed the registration link or if you found this thread before I announce it (some people are very observant), HERE it is. Share it around if you want.
Although this Bootcamp is mostly meant to help beginners, we won’t exclude anyone for “excess experience”. Some participants are back for a second round. You are always welcome. Remember that it will be the exact same tutorials so don’t be surprised. I am sure you will now do something slightly different than the previous time.
Since anyone can follow the whole Bootcamp using the trial version of PaintShop Pro, this is a perfect opportunity for anyone to give it a try and see how they like the program, so share with your friends who MIGHT consider using PaintShop Pro.
The 7 tutorials will be spaced out over almost 2 weeks. This should make it easier for participants to follow without feeling stressed (it should never be stressful!).
May 1, 2021 at 7:34 pm #57527Hi Cassel … me again! Always in for some memory jogging work and these bootcamps are an excellent place for that. Looking forward to it … hugs Annie T.
May 4, 2021 at 4:50 pm #57617I’m here too. Not sure how many designs I will do but I like the camaraderie in these forums.
May 9, 2021 at 2:21 pm #57773Hi very excited to start
Hi All I am a Ann too lol
May 9, 2021 at 3:20 pm #57775Yes, Cindy, we need LOTS of repetition! LOL
May 9, 2021 at 3:26 pm #57777I have some Mid-Hudson Valley, NY, landscapes to work with; not sure what to do with them yet. Here’s an example of our farming district; Pine Island with world-class onions.

May 9, 2021 at 8:35 pm #57798Ann that is one of the most beautiful farm landscape photos I have seen. The clarity and colour in that photo are striking. 😀
May 10, 2021 at 5:12 am #57824Here again too. : ) … Looking forward to being inspired by the Newcomers and Veterans too.
May 10, 2021 at 12:56 pm #57842May 10, 2021 at 10:05 pm #57865Welcome everyone.
Annie, welcome back to the Bootcamp.
Ann, welcome back. You will have more time than in other challenges so you might be able to do all the projects. Looking forward to see that farm picture in a project.
Cindy, welcome back. With new projects, you will be practicing some more!
Cristina, welcome back.
Joe, you are our first newcomer to post in this thread. You earned a gold star for being “brave”. That church photo will surely be showcased in an upcoming project. Looking forward to seeing it.
May 11, 2021 at 10:17 am #57876Did not know you could copy layers between images with drag and drop. Learn something new every day.
May 11, 2021 at 2:48 pm #57880I’ve participated in this challenge before, so I always try to do something different. Here is my lunch. I added a few of Cassel’s picture tubes: Burger toppings and Crochet Lace.
May 11, 2021 at 10:00 pm #57883Joe, so many little tips you will learn in this Bootcamp!
Cristina, that is a big meal! TWO desserts!
May 11, 2021 at 10:46 pm #57884Yummo Cristina, looks very delicious. I am fat enough so if I had lunches like this everyday I wouldn’t fit through the front door! ;D
May 11, 2021 at 10:47 pm #57885Joe, you are up and running now … so much more to learn my friend. ;D
May 11, 2021 at 10:49 pm #57887My lunch table for this one and creating it has made me hungry so I am off to have a bite to eat! 🙂
May 12, 2021 at 6:19 am #57889My sandwich and table. Strange, no matter how many times I take this class I always enjoy this exercise. 🙂
May 12, 2021 at 10:10 am #57893Joe, even after so many years, I never stop learning at the Campus.
Carole and Annie, I guess I overindulged a bit. : )
Ann, I agree with you; this exercise is always fun, and having done it so many times, we can play more with it.
May 12, 2021 at 10:16 am #57895This is my Project #1
I used Cassel’s Alpha-Maker Sample (Alpha-Maker Script) and Bow17-Fall-ribbon freebie (Bow17 Script).
Papers by Marisa Lerin “Cozy Kitchen” freebie.
I created the confetti tube following Cassel’s tutorial.
May 12, 2021 at 11:09 am #57897Christina, that looks so simple and nice. I must be suffering from low vision ’cause I can’t find the bow you mentioned. Other than that everything works very well together. Well done!
May 12, 2021 at 11:11 am #57899Here’s my Project #1. I have a new bird at my feeders. Introducing Mr. Red-Head.
May 12, 2021 at 11:35 am #57905You ladies are doing wonderful work. I like the simplicity of them. Cristina, I love the colours you used. I have the custom confetti maker script, which is great. Saying that I do like to create my own confetti, I have now accumulated quite a few of my own confetti tubes in my picture tube folder. 🙂
May 12, 2021 at 12:59 pm #57909Ann, thank you! … You are not suffering from low vision; there is no bow! : ) I added the ribbon behind the paper, but it is hard to see in the small version.
The freebie consists of two bows and two ribbons, of which the bows were created. The file name is “cass-Bow17-Fall-02-Ribbon” because the script is about creating a bow. I added the image.
Great layout, Ann. I love the colors!
May 12, 2021 at 1:12 pm #57910Sue, my friend, thank you so much! I don’t have “yet” this script : )… Like you, I also like to create my own and have a few confetti tubes in my folder, but scripts are time-savers.
May 12, 2021 at 8:19 pm #57918Hopefully this is the right direction.
May 12, 2021 at 10:57 pm #57922Annie, did you have a sandwich after making this one?
Ann, nice napkin! The birds and the trees give such a great effect!
Cristina, you just gave me the idea that I might create some confetti if there is ever a new kit that does not have any scatters. Thanks for the idea!
Joe, yes, you are in the right direction. I see that your shadows are correctly placed. I like that extracted sign on the bottom left.
Now, with the actual scrapbook projects that will count toward the draw, I hope we will see more participants!
May 13, 2021 at 2:14 am #57925Cassel, I did have a sandwich … mind over matter methinks! LOL!
Project 1. The photo of the Australian coots feet was a freebie from Australian Geographic. Confetti my own using Cassel’s confetti maker script. Bird footprints a freebie tube off the web. Background paper and the striped paper are my own. Thanks for takin a peek my friends.
Cristina a lovely home baking page. For all my years of cooking I have never made home made pasta … lots of pasta sauces and dishes but never the pasta itself. Always promised myself that I would get one of the pasta pastry rollers but never got there.
Ann, what a beautiful redhead and you have showcased him to perfection. Those papers are gorgeous.
Joe, very nicely put together my friend, you are forging ahead in leaps and bounds. ;D
May 13, 2021 at 4:27 am #57927Annie: Honestly, your wildlife from Down Under might as well be from some alien planet! 😉 Those coot feet are outrageous! Nicely showcased with footprints and I love your title.. GET A GRIP.. 😀
May 13, 2021 at 9:47 am #57933Annie, thank you!… I grew up watching my mother making homemade pasta, so from an early age, I wanted to “help”… I don’t make it very often now, but for me, they taste better.
Your layout is very nice! …They are so instructive, and we get to know a lot about flora and fauna with you…I never read anything about the coot feet… They are so cool!
May 13, 2021 at 7:05 pm #57949Hi Your all Such Artists,
Day 3 Turn in Thank You to “Blog Train: Pixel Scrapper – April 2021” for the kit.
This is my sisters youngest grandson she make his clothes and jacket and shoes and hat. I taught her to crochet, 🙂
I meant to say the picture curl, look is one I bought in our Campus store from our Teacher.
